Kuro pouted slightly as he took the scold of some sort from Mahiru, in truth it would have been easier and less conspicuous to just walk out in a neat and orderly fashion but Kuro had done that for all of his life. Running and jumping and making things exciting was fun and the vampire didn't get much of that feeling either. Soft hands rubbed the back of his neck in thought as Mahiru yet again plagued him with a question, but by this time Kuro had gotten used to all the question asking.




    "Well seeing as we are indeed closer to the Crystal Caves now perhaps it would be a good idea to visit them?" Kuro phrased this as a question instead of a statement to give the other an option to go if he so pleased.     Mahiru raised an eyebrow slightly at the small pout on the other man's face, but didn't make any sort of comment on it. Kuro had already gotten what he wanted, after all. And if he decided to drag someone around again, well there wasn't much that could be done to stop him. Though, he wasn't sure he'd make the effort in the first place anyway. It was irritating being pulled without warning, but otherwise not a bother.




    "You'll have to lead the way, then," he said in agreement. Caves sounded like a perfect idea when his companion was a vampire. The man wouldn't have to be in the sun, and Mahiru wouldn't appear crazy while talking to a cat the whole time. Then, later they could go to the beach like he wanted, once it'd gotten dark. He took a few steps forward, noticing immediately when he'd moved into the sun as the warm rays heated up his skin. Looking back to Kuro, he grinned slightly. With a nonchalant shrug the vampire proceeded down the not so busy street before taking a step into the light, there he immediately poofed into the little feline and looked towards Mahiru, his right ear flicked and he then proceeded to pad towards the caves. Guiding Mahiru as he went along.




    It wasn't until a rough and deep voice caught the cats attention that he knew he'd been caught.




    "THERE'S THE DAMN CAT!"




    A man with an apron on and an obviously irritated face looked out from behind some crates of oranges he was holding, behind him stood two other boys, younger and perhaps working there for the holidays, for money of course. They looked rather surprised by whom seemed to be their bosses sudden outburst. "Well don't just stand there! Get the bloody thing!" looks where exchanged before the boys were hot on their way towards Kuro and Mahiru.




    How troublesome..




    The cat looked towards Mahiru with a rather apologetic flick of his tail before jumping right into the boys arms.     Mahiru followed closely behind Kuro, so as to not lose sight of the little cat. Admittedly, he became a bit lost in thought as they walked, but about what, he really had no idea. Just fleeting memories, or ideas. He was sure that at one point he wondered just exactly how far away these caves were going to be. A shout jolted him out of his mind though, and he whipped his head around to see who was making so much noise. 'Damn cat', they'd said. Mahiru's stomach dropped a bit, and he was filled with something akin to dread because he just knew the man was referring to Kuro.




    He looked down at the cat, but didn't have to for long because suddenly he had an armful of fur, which only confirmed his suspicions. "Now, what'd you do to him, huh?" he muttered out where only the vampire could hear, taking a few small steps back as they two boys approached as ordered. Now, Mahiru was a civil guy. He hadn't really enjoyed running out of the cafe, and he definitely didn't want to bolt down the street with them chasing after him. "Hey," he started, voice louder now as he spoke to the two coming after them. "I apologize for whatever my cat may have done, but I'd rather you not take him." His words were true, but a small part of him doubted they'd listen. Their boss looked seriously angry. His muscles were tense, ready to actually run if they decided they weren't going to give up.[/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

Kuro gazed towards the two boys with uninterested eyes and even more so towards the man whom which he had tormented since he set up shop here, the two teenage boys were younger than Mahiru and far younger than himself, they seemed to gaze at Mahiru with a sense of 'what now? and 'uhm... ok' all very troublesome responses. With a soft meow Kuro gained their attention and well it's safe to say he opted the easy way to get out of a situation like this, the feline squabbled slightly in Mahirus arms before presenting his belly as a sign of being comfortable with them there.




    One of the boys seemed to laugh before punching his mate in the shoulder slightly, "Ol' mans a bit crazy ay?" The teenager whom he had hit seemed to huff slightly before reaching out to pat the cats stomach. On cue as if he had done this a thousand times Kuro began to pure loudly and the two males finished their petting and apologised to Mahiru. "Sorry about the trouble... Our boss talks about 'that black bloody cat' all the time." "Don't see how this small and cute thing would cause so much trouble though."     "Oh, yeah, I really don't know..." Mahiru said, squeezing the cat in his arms a bit tighter than before. He was lying through his teeth, and knew that the vampire in his arms was playing up the cuteness act to get out of the situation. While he had to admit that it was appreciated, he still didn't like having the two younger boys crowding around and petting his 'cat'. It seemed too strange, since he knew what Kuro actually was. "I guess maybe he's got the wrong cat? Anyway... I'm just gonna take him and go now," he continued, taking a few steps backwards before uttering thanks for leaving the cat alone, and turning around to leave.




    "How many more troublesome situations are you going to get me into?" he asked once they were out of earshot of the others, rolling his eyes, although he didn't know if Kuro noticed or not. Kuro gazed up towards Mahiru and lay in his arms comfortably as he carried him away from the store clerk and the boys and the street, the cat seemed to take in how glistening the situation seemed to be. The light filtering through the buildings and trees along with the shadow the other males figure caused to fall over him provided enough brightness distribution for Kuro to look at his face clearer now. It was weird being this close to somebody but never-the-less the vampire seemed to enjoy it.




    With a soft meow and flick of the ear Kuro hoped to somehow explain to Mahiru that it wouldn't happen again but alas he was just so caught up in the warmth of the others touch that he felt rather lazy and comforted in the arms of an angel.     Mahiru huffed lightly at the lazy cat in his arms, although he didn't drop him back to the ground just yet. "Was that mean to be an apology or something? I don't think I believe you," he accused, although he kept his tone light so that the other man would know that he was just teasing. There may have been a little bit of truth to his words, but whether he was bothered by it had yet to be seen. None of the situations that the vampire had gotten him into yet have been too troublesome, but it was a bit irritating to have to deal with them, even if that was the simple solution. Hopefully though, they could go the rest of the day without having to run away from someone.




    As he came to the end of the path he'd been following, it split into two different directions, and that was when Mahiru remembered that he didn't actually know where he was supposed to be going. It was the lazy cat in his arms that was meant to be leading the way, although he didn't appear to be doing much of anything at the moment. "Hey, Kuro," he prompted, looking down at the feline. "You're supposed to be leading here. I don't know which way to go." While he spoke, he was extremely thankful that there was nobody in the immediate area who would hear him asking a cat for directions. [/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

He only perked up when brunette seemed to stop walking, the cat perked up and looked between the two roads before deciding upon the one that seemed less travelled by, he signalled for Mahiru to go in that direction by flicking out his tail in that direction and letting loose of a soft meow. There was no way in hell he would be jumping out Mahirus arms anytime soon.




    Now as he understood it this trail will lead them through a hike trail before just ending, but alas Mahiru would need to continue on through the forest until they reached a large rock hidden by a few trees and bushes but mainly moss. Then off to the right side lay a large hole for one to clamber through and get to the caves, or rather a hidden part of the caves were tourists do not venture.     Looking down at the cat in his arms curiously, Mahiru nodded in understanding when a tail pointed towards the path that seemed to be a bit more empty. He followed the directions he'd been given, and took them down the road that seemed to become a lot more like a forest the further along he went. "Well I'm glad we're not doing this when it might get dark," he murmured out, looking around at their surroundings. It was definitely more of a hiking trail, and he'd rather not be stuck alone in some woods when it was too dark to see just in front of himself. While he was sure that Kuro could find them a way out, the lazy cat didn't seem to be too intent on doing anything but laying in his arms.




    The path was pretty empty, but Mahiru walked on until suddenly, it had ended. He frowned, ever so slightly. "You're not planning on having me keep going without a trail?" he asked, his voice just a bit reserved at the thought. He had a feeling though, that the vampire would only confirm his suspicions, and he sighed before continuing to speak immediately after his first statement. "Must be nice for you. Getting carried around," he said accusingly in a teasing tone as he looked around for a place that might be more clear to walk through. [/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

The feline purred continuously as they were on their sure fire way to the caves until Mahiru stopped and questioned him, this time however Kuro felt the need to actually do something for once and began off deeper in to the thickets. He only seemed to stop the gaze behind him and make sure the human was following him, of course by now Kuro had been wondering if he could even be bothered visiting the caves again but he had to remind himself that he wasn't here for himself. He was here for Mahiru.

    Mahiru looked curiously as the vampire suddenly moved, jumping down and leading the way through the thicker part of the woods. With a sigh of relief, he followed after him. Admittedly, it was a bit more difficult to make his way, considering that he was much larger in size when compared to a cat. But, he kept his pace up and didn't fall behind as he and Kuro made their way through the forest. He wondered exactly how far they'd have to trek through pathless territory, but he didn't really want to ask. Instead, he just kept walking in silence, making sure that he didn't trip over a root or anything.




    Eventually, after a while of walking, they reached a part of the forest that seemed to be more rock than tree. They were looking for a cave, so perhaps they were getting closer. Some of them were hidden a bit by moss, but still clearly visible. "Is it somewhere around here, Kuro?" Mahiru asked curiously, looking around more than he had been before.

As they continued on, the terrain as expected became more mountainous in a way as rocks large and small littered the grounds here and there and all of a sudden at a turn they came to a moss covered boulder that seemed hidden until you were right in front of the entrance. Kuro looked up to Mahiru and let out a short 'meow' before flicking his tail down towards the dark looking abyss of sorts, then, without any warning, the cat jumped in and vanished in to the darkness.

    Mahiru looked up at the moss covered boulder with his eyes a bit wide in surprise. He'd known they were going further into a more mountainous range, given the fact that they were looking for a cave, but it was a bit strange to see it with his own eyes. To think that a place like this was hidden in a forest that sat next to a beach.




    He looked down to the cat on the ground upon hearing a meow, and was about to ask Kuro what he meant, when said person suddenly disappeared into a darkness that had previously been hidden by moss and rock. "Hey, Kuro, wait!" he called, walking up to the entrance the vampire had vanished into, attempting to peer in. It was pitch black in there. "Some of us can't see in the dark, you know,'" he huffed in irritation, moving a bit further inwards, hopeful that there was a light source that it would make it easier for him. Didn't Kuro know that humans could only do so much?

Kuro turned his head to look towards Mahiru and noticed the human hadn't entered fully yet and with a soft poof the vampire was back in his human form. "It get's a bit sharp when you're coming down Mahiru" Kuro warned the other rather quickly before gazing back towards the cave he and the other was in and a thought occured to him.

    Mahiru heeded the vampire's warning, and was thankful for it, especially considering the fact that he couldn't see a single thing inside of the cave. Surely, if Kuro hadn't told him to watch out, he'd end up falling upon taking one unprepared step. That would have been embarrassing, and something that he didn't want to do at all.




    As he made his may downwards, Mahiru breathed a small sigh of relief when he noticed that light had begun to ebb through the darkness. Feeling a tad more confident, he dropped the rest of the way down, and thankfully landed perfectly on his feet. It was much more comfortable here, where he could actually see his surroundings. He also felt a bit better that Kuro was back to his normal form. It was certainly much easier to keep track of a person, rather than a little black cat. "It's a lot lighter than I thought it'd be down here," he mused, looking around a bit to see if there was anything interesting there. A slow moving stream seemed to trickle just ahead of them as the crystals jutting out of the walls glowed faintly, perhaps they were illuminated by the glow worms above their heads? A pale hand gently removed the hood that usually sat comfortable on his head and his hair sprung up as he softly ruffled it through his fingers, Kuro then turned back to Mahiru and shrugged "I can probably see way better than you at the moment but yes, from what I can gather the glow worms do their job fittingly." Kuro moved his weight from each foot before looking back towards the many channels in the cave, "would you like to explore or?"     Mahiru looked to the vampire next to him curiously, before looking upwards towards the tops of the caves. He hadn't even thought to notice it before, but the light that made it possible for him to see - even if everything was still dim - was due to the glow worms above them. It was really quite the sight, and he stared, eye a bit wide, until Kuro speaking brought his attention back to the other man. Explore? Wasn't that what they'd come here to do in the first place?




    He nodded anyway, since the question had already been asked. "Yeah, let's go," he said, tone a bit excited as he bounced once, then twice on his feet before picking a cave channel and walking towards it. He turned around, taking small careful steps backwards as he looked at Kuro. "Just don't let me trip over a rock or something, okay?" he asked with a grin, mostly only joking. Sure the tourists visited the caves with guides and such but they were usually restricted to a certain pathway of course so that they didn't ruin the crystals with their touch.
