On the journey to the islands Caramel was impregnated. Kae only wanted the best for his little ones, and brought Caramel to Islandclan. After giving birth to just one kit, Caramel showed her true colors and tried to take Heatherkit from the clan. Kae, who had joined and taken the name Foxflight, fought back to protect his daughter. Islandclan had grown fond of the young molly and drove off Caramel.
At fifteen moons, the newly named Heatherfire was out on patrol when she met a charming tom by the name of Pledge. She had her misgivings, and yet... She let herself fall in love. She and Pledge were soon mated. However, as Heath was about to ask her mate to join the clan, Caramel announced her presence. Caramel and Pledge had been mated, and Heatherfire's mother had asked him to get Heath to trust him.
Foxflight, having been nearby, dropped in on the scuffle and confronted his ex-mate. Caramel quickly killed him, and in turn Heatherfire killed her mother. Pledge escaped in the ruckus and hasn't been seen since.
