  • Ok, so the story will start out with Evan/Maleth about to raid a castle, but changes his mind when he finds out that the local princess is occupied, and therefore decides to pay the village a little visit. That's where he founds your charrie (what's her name?) and takes her back to his cave. So here we go!

    [hr]

It was a beautiful day for flying. For a certain dragon, that was. Going by the name of Maleth Firedrake, as the townsfolk had dubbed long ago, he was in a chipper mood, for today was Errand Day, and he had quite the list in mind: hustle the farmers, eat some sheep, mess with a knight, and raid a castle. The castle was first on his list, for he planned on taking another princess hostage (it was necessary in order to get to the knight part). This would be his fifth one in his seasonal circle, and then he'd pack up and head off elsewhere.

But when the Nightshade dragon arrived at the castle (he'd camouflaged so that no one would see him), he quickly found out that the princess was involved in...other matters, so to speak. And as Maleth had policies against such circumstances, he was put in an irritable mood, and had to cut his raiding plans short. What rotten luck. This is why I don't go raiding in the middle of summer. Then he looked over his wings, and saw the village far off between the hills. This better not be a complete waste of time.

  • Luna walked through the town square, squeezing her way past the crowds of villagers hustled around the markets, all yelling insults and profanities about the lack of resources. Luckily being as short as she was it was easy to slide her way through the crowd, being only five feet tall seemed to have its perks. She pulled herself away from the crowd to walk up to the store she had been looking for, she counted her gold coins and headed inside.

  • Good. Some hopelessly oblivious people going about their normal existence! I'll just play with them a little, Maleth snickered to himself as he swooped silently over the village. The breeze he made buffeted a few villagers, but because he was invisible, they just assumed it was the wind. He made some fires get a bit out of hand from traders, and left them cursing as they fought to get the fire under control. OK, that wasn't a total waste, but I better et going.

But he was distracted when he saw a lone girl enter one of the marketplaces. It wasn't her looks (though she was pretty - for a human), it was how off she was from the crowd. This caught his interest, and he quietly lighted down onto a roof, looking through the windows to get a better glimpse at this woman.

  • She glimpsed slightly at some of the objects up on the shelves, she had only come to buy bread and grain but couldn't help herself from looking at all the expensive things spread out on the counters. She shook her head and walked up to the store owner, dumping her coins on on the table and pointing the the sacks of grain for the man to grab. She wrapped the bread up in cloth and put it in her bag, and wrote down on a price of paper the address where the man would deliver the grain too. Before heading back outside.

  • Maybe I'll mess with her a little bit, Maleth decided, slithering along the rooftops following the movement of Luna through the street, waiting patiently until she finally tutned a corner and entered the more secluded part of town. No one was around, so he could do pretty much whatever he wanted without being seen. He slowly but surely snaked his head downward into 'Luna's path, cutting off any other escape routes with his body, only then deciding to uncamouflage. "Hello there, miss."

  • She jumped back startled at the sight of a dragon in front of her, and landed on her behind. She looked up at the dragon surprised and unsure what to do or say, or if she should run away. "I-I.." She shook a little wondering if it was going to eat her or burn her alive or something.

  • Startled, but not running away. Definitely good, Maleth said to himself, and he coiled his body in a bit more until he had completely encircled Luna. There was no way she could escape, even if she wanted to. "Now don't fret, for I do not like it when my captives are constantly trying to find a way out, when there obviously isn't a way out." He brought his massive head in closer, his golden eyes glowing and flashing a little in a rhythmic pattern. "Just calm down a little, alright?"

  • She gulped slightly at the word 'captives' and shook even more as she dragons face grew closer. She didn't move her head but looked over from the corner of her eye to see the dragon had her closed in, wanting to run but knowing the beast had its eyes on her she stayed put, opening her mouth to say something but closing it instead.

  • "Good idea. It's best not to say anything before the procedure, for it tends to be quite the distracting agent. For me, of course," Maleth said, chuckling at his own joke before locking his eyes onto Luna's, coiling his tail around her body to make sure she didn't try to escape. "Now I want you to look deep into my eyes. That's it, deeper. You will slowly calm down and forget everything around you. Just relax..."

  • She shut her eyes and looked away from him, trying to squirm out from the tail tightly wrapped around her. She whimpered slightly knowing what the dragon was trying to do, and slowly pulled herself away from his tail, landing with a thud on the ground and quickly tried to get back up before he could grab her again.

  • "Tsk tsk. I told you not to struggle," Maleth huffed, quickly pinning her to the ground again, and this time he cast a spell so that she would not be able to move. "It's better for you and easier for me to concentrate. Now look at me, and no turning away this time." He focused again, increasing the power of his hypnotic eyes so that Luna would not be able to break free like last time.
