• The floating islands covered the moon, rightly so as the shady female completed the deed. Regret filling her eyes, she slinked near the islands while the clan slept, setting down the basket of kittens- barely old enough to speak, much less understand the situation. Choosing the smallest she-kitten out of the four, she laid her carefully on the grass. With an awkward affectionate lick on the forehead, the mother picked up the basket and made off. "Goodbye, little one. I hope you have a better life here." With that, the little kitten would never know anything about her birth family, but only of where she had been abandoned.

The kitten mewled quietly, shivering from the heat deficiency that had previously been supplied by the close quarters of her and her siblings inside the basket their mother transported them in. She wasn't hungry, simply alone. Most likely, the long-haired blue lynx point wouldn't be found until morning, where she practically screamed out for someone, after sleeping where she'd been left for the rest of the night. "Hello?"

What was her name? What did her mother call her? Cloudy blue eyes starting to fill with tears, she pouted at her forgetfulness. Sweetkit, yes. That was it.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 475px; text-align: justify; font-size: 11px]Had this child been abandoned? Where was its mother? Why was it alone?

Margaery couldn't help but feel worry rising within her chest as she padded towards Sweetkit, a frown apparent upon her chocolate lips. She had always been the motherly sort and was naturally protective of children in general, this girl being no exception. She had so many questions regarding how she got here too, but chose to dismiss them in favor for a gentle smile. "Hello, little one. What's your name?" Once she knew at least that much, she could begin to try to piece together this situation and hopefully figure out where she belonged.

  • An alarm raised in Sweetkit's head as a new voice rang out, one she'd never heard of. With a tilt of her head, her blue eyes bore into the older feline's grey, inspecting her momentarily before deeming her safe to speak to. "Sweetkit... Where is home? My brothers and sisters were sleeping next to me, and then Mum said goodbye. I thought she was just getting water, but she hasn't come back yet."

How long had it been? Perhaps she had just said that and she really would be right back, but Blaine couldn't smell her nearby. It was a tragedy, the poor kittens. It actually made Blaine wonder about his parents.. His real parents anyways. Had they given him up, or had he gotten lost? He couldn't remember. "I'm sure she'll come back, sweetheart, don't worry."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 350px;]| Oh, the classic 'mom left and never came back' cliche. He'd seen it a hundred times, and caused it a few times too. "Don't be ridiculous," he told the kit. "Your mom is probably dead. Most likely murdered, or caught in an accident with some cars, taken to the pound by humans, endless possibilities really." A mosquito came and stung his paw, causing him to let out a small, sharp 'fuck' and shake it. He stomped on the mosquito, murdering the insignificant little insect.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; text-align: justify;]Dramamine stalked over with newfound anger brewing inside her- Ted had taken his morbid jesting much too far this time. This was a kitten! Just like her! And neither of them needed to hear that kind of stuff! "Hey! Shut up! Just shut up for once and be nice!" She spat, feeling the hair on the nape of her neck stand on end due to her outburst. Ugh, she hated this guy! Trying to quell her anger as she went on to approach Sweetkit, she'd offer the other a simple and honest smile. "Don't worry, your momma is okay! She's probably just really thirsty! Oh, hey, meanwhile, you should stay in Blizzardclan! That way you'll be safe while you wait for her!"

  • The kitten's wide blue eyes inspected each new entity as they arrived, feeling more and more uncomfortable as they all surrounded her small figure. "Oh no, Mum's safe. There are a lot of cats where we come from, they aren't very nice even to us, but they'll protect her," she replied warmly. "Can I stay here? You all seem nice... And sleeping on the grass isn't very fun!"
