Bronwyn had decided to start a bonfire on the beach- it seemed like it'd be a good idea, especially since it'd bring the clan together. It'd be nice to see her clanmates together, relaxed on the beach, even if it was only for an evening.
So the femme had gotten an npc to use some fire elementals and light a fire for her, about ten feet away from the water. She built it up until it was massive; at least four feet tall, with blazing flames and sparks flying everywhere.
She set out a few cushions for her clanmates and some marshmallows to toast over the fire. Finally, the femme stepped back, satisfied with her work.
"Hey, everybody! There's a bonfire over here, come on over!" She called, slightly more cheerful than usual.

"do we just set stuff on fire? why would we do that? i mean, throwing yourself in the fire to creatively commit suicide would make sense..." she trailed off, still looking rather confused.

He approached Bronwyn and greeted her with a warm blue gaze. He had never been to a bonfire, but had heard about them, once or twice. "It is, um, a nice fire, I think. If I may ask, what are marshmallows?" The angel questioned with a furrowed brow.

➙➙➙ "Ran—! Don't you dare hurt yourself!" the otter pup whined as she aimed to tackle her sister into a hug. She knew her sister was just playing around (at least she thought so), so her complaints were all in good fun. California preferred to lay in the sand and bask in the heat.

"It's like basking in the sun, but at night!" she chirped to her younger sister, dropping and rolling into her back. She let out a pleasant rumble, closing her eyes. She opened one up to peek at her sister, expecting her to join her.

Bronwyn's eyes widened in alarm as Ran spoke, instinctively moving to stand closer to the otter in case she was serious. She relaxed once Cas arrived, offering her friend a warm smile, but continued to stand close to Ran, tensed and ready to leap across her path.
"Yeah, like Cas said; please don't throw yourself into the fire. All your little otter siblings would probably * me up pretty badly if you killed yourself on my watch," the femme said, chuckling to herself.
She stepped back as California arrived, her smile growing wider as she watched her tackle her sister. She never had any siblings, so she didn't grow up knowing what it was like to have one, but she wished she did; it seemed like, if they loved each other, siblings were the best thing ever.
Bronwyn listened to California speak and nodded supportively, gently adding on to what she said and responding to Cas' question in turn.
"It's kind of like basking in the sun, but it's a big fire. Everyone comes together and they all sing bonfire songs or tell scary stories or roast marshmallows or something like that. And, Cas, a marshmallow is a little squishy candy. It's made with sugar, I think, but it's really good. You usually put them on a stick and toast them over the fire, then pull them off and eat them. Why don't you try it?"
