    Deadpaw hobbled from his den, his limp leg dragging in the dirt. It took him a while to get up in the mornings, although it wasn't like he cared what the other cats thought of it. He gazed over at the prisoners with mild interest, but scrunched up his nose when he saw that cedarfang was on guard duty. "curse that tom," he grumbled under his breath, pulling himself towards the fresh-kill pile.


    Dovepaw emerged from the den, stretching delicately and opening her jaws in a very dramatic yawn. The gray and white tabby sat down and began the process of grooming her fur, making sure that every hair was smoothed down.
