Noel padded outside of her home, taking a deep breath of the salty sea air. She was finally getting used to breathing real air again, and it felt good for once. Even if she was still jumpy around people, she honestly though that she was getting a bit better... And that way saying a lot, for Noel.

Still clutching the reddish-pink hibiscus flower that Yosaf had gave her (It had turned into her security blanket), Noel ventured out to the beach. She hadn't been there in a while, and she had gotten bored. So with a conjured back swinging by the tassels in her mouth, Noel stooped down to pick up bits of beach glass and nice-looking rocks, plunking them in the bag after neatly brushing the sand from there, careful to keep her paws dry. When she stumbled across the occasional crab, she would make like one and scuttle out of the way, glancing at it warily. Noel didn't even look at the water.

Yawning with fatigue, the canine peeked inside her bag, a tiny smile on her face. She shook some of the clumped sand off her paws, her gold gaze being drawn to the water. Swallowing dryly, she shoved back memories and left the beach, searching the camp for something to do.[/fancypost]

He had always enjoyed simply people-watching; mortals were incredibly interesting to him, after all. And watching their whitish auras shimmer and move about their forms was captivating. But he found his train of thought interrupted by a whiff of a nearby salty smell. The angel stood, knitting his eyebrows. He traced the scent back to the bag Noelani was carrying. Curious now, Cas approached her, despite the two of them not knowing each other well. "I'm... Im sorry to intrude, but I was wondering what was in the bag. It smells... like the ocean. And the wind."

Although Hiv wasn't one to be out and about on any given day, he found the air in the SunClan camp unexpectedly comforting. It wasn't thick and ghastly like in the human neighbourhoods, nor fresh and biting as it was in the mountains. The tang of salt negated any sense of discomfort he had, an anchor of sorts when the water rushed in and grasped for a slippery hold on his troubles only to dance away when they wouldn't shake. In any case, he preferred to avoid the beach.

He looked up upon noticing the two figures a little way away, heart jumping to his mouth as he considered slipping away before their attention was drawn - little chance of that, he figured, with the strange bag that Noel had as distraction. He was still uncomfortable with interaction, though, tension climbing up his throat until he decided it was an irritating overreaction. Everyone else in the clan had been kind. He just hadn't spoken to either of these members yet, but given half the chance he never would. "Did you stop by th' beach?" he asked quietly, padding up towards Castiel and Noel and using curiousity as an excuse to join in. "Somethin' you like t' collect?"

Noel looked up sharply, her eye widening then back to normal as she realized that it was just another Sunclanner. The canine looked down into her brown-ish bag, opening its contents onto the ground and shifting through them. "W-Well, I s-spend my t-t-timecollect-ting st-stuff like th-this in-n m-my f-free t-time... Sh-Shells, rocks-s, a-and b-beach g-glass... I-I g-get b-bored a-a lot at-t h-home..." Noel mumbled, picking up some shells and subjecting them to her scrutiny. In all truth, she just kept anything shiny or nice looking. She was sort of like a dragon in that sense; she was drawn to anything sparkly or shiny and immediately wanted to keep it forever.

Looking up again at the both of them, she just shrugged, her paws still on the ground and making no move to collect her things yet. "Th-There's a-a lot-t m-more ar-round on-n the s-seafloor, b-but I h-haven't-t gone d-down th-there in a wh-while..." Noel said under her breath, remembering the tons of shiny things like metal and minerals and other amazing things, still down there. But there was no way on earth that she would go back in the water... yet.[/fancypost]
