  • FIVE YEARS AGO

Will Shane. The protector and most famous slug-slinger of all SlugTerra. No criminal, renegade, thief, or outright villain stood a chance against him and his exceptional arsenal of Slugs, the key to all of the happenings that occurred in the hidden underground world. But then he disappeared, sucked into a dark vortex created by a corrupted Slug wield by Dr. Blakk. Since then, SlugTerra has grown rough around the edges, but this may only be the beginning of something even more terrible.

Who can pick up where Will Shane left off?

  • The caves in the American Desert could be downright amazing sometimes, Jackie couldn't have it any other way. The black haired female marveled at all the small glints of crystals hidden in the surface of the cave systems around her and the little group she had gathered to explore this place with.
"I can't believe no one has discovered this yet!" She said in complete awe, clambering up a smooth rock surface.
"Sure has a lot of holes though." She frowned, observing all the dark pits inside.
"Maybe people have found this place...they just never returned." She said, making a "spooky voice" while she did so.

Jackie continued on further into the cave until she came across an enormous hole in the floor small, shimering crystals lit by a stream of glowing water.
    "Woah..." She seemed almost ecstatic.
"The water glows here? That's amazing but...nearly impossible, how's it doing that?" She wondered, taking a tiny step forward.

Everything stopped when she heard cracking.
"Huh?!" SHe whipped around and looked down, only to find cracks in the ground growing.
"Ah!" What was happening!? She wasn't that far in!

She tried to run back, but the ground from under her feet vanished before she could reach safety and she was sent tumbling and screaming into the abyss below, constantly getting splashed by the glowing water.

    ______________________________________________________

"...ngh..." What...happened? She was lying in something wet, soft ground too...almost like dirt. Wasn't she surrounded by rocks before?

Something dripped onto her nose and she sneezed, startling herself awake a little. Plants? Giant mushrooms?
"W-What the?!" She yelped, jumping up.
"T-This isn't a cave. I don't even know any environments like this!" She realized, looking around in panic, then up to see a small stream pouring out a hole in the ceiling of a huge cavern.
    "...oh no."

Something was making a sound nearby, she hesitantly turned to see...some kind of blue slug? It was staring at her with a single large eye in a very confused manner. Funny, it was making chirping sounds like a small mammal. She yelped and splashed deeper into the glowing water.
"What are you!?" The tiny thing just seemed more confused.

  • Alex Yarrow
Alex heard a person screaming nearby and grabbed his modified slinger. He walked closer and held it out, with Curser inside. Looking more closely, there was a Surface Dweller like hum, but. . . a girl? Why would they want to be here? Running towards her, Alex kneeled down, and looked at her. "Hey, you alright? Judging by your clothes you fell down here like I did." He held an arm out, hoping that he could help, and blushed with shyness. "Here, let's get you up." Alex looked at her and forgot the most important thing. "O-oh. I. . . I'm Alex. Alex Yarrow." Looking at her, he could tell something big might happen.

  • Ali sat on her Mecha outside of a bar, legs folded beneath her with her Blaster in her lap as she cleaned it, waiting for Roxas to return. Azul sat on her left shoulder, watching her and occasionally looking around, ready to give warning in case of danger. Razor was curled up in his canister while Sly and Thaw wrestled beside Ali. Hearing the bar door open, releasing a cacophony of yelling and what barely passed as singing, Ali and Azul both looked up and towards the building to see Roxas striding out, Blaze and Shrapnel sharing space on his right shoulder while Thriller and Cap shared his other., blaster in hand. It had been holstered before.
Without a word, he hopped onto his Mecha, placing his blaster into the holster on its right shoulder, and took off at a decent trot, barely allowing his slugs to reach their canisters, although Blaze remained on his shoulder as always. Ali holstered her own blaster, her's on her Mecha's left shoulder as she was left-handed, and helped Sly and Thaw into their canisters before turning to sit properly in the seat and taking off after her twin. Once she came along side him, she waited to see if he would say anything about what he learned in the bar. When he didn't, she took the initiative.
"What'd you find out?" She asked, her voice rough and gravelly as usual, just a few octaves above a whisper and below a typical voice. Roxas, being used to her inhibited speech volume, heard her, but still didn't answer for a few moments.
"It looks like they passed through here a few days ago and then headed this way. Someone overheard them talking about hitting a town not too far from here. I just hope they're still there."
"I take it no one was willing to talk?"
"No." He grinned. "Then they saw Thriller and that seemed to loosen a few mouths."

  • Jackie was much more then surprised to find that another human was here as well. With more of those slug-thingies on his shoulder.
"Fell down!?" She repeated as she was pulled to her feet, ignoring the feeling of something climbing up her back. The Boon Doc from earlier now stood on he shoulder.
"U-U-Uh..." She blushed a little until he announced his name.
"J-Jackie! I'm Jackie." She introduced herself.

  • Alex Yarrow
Alex laughed, and grabbed her hand, and pulled her up. "It's unusual for another Surface Dweller to go down to SlugTerra. After all, we sluggers are proud and unknowing of the Land Above. Well, according to the myths, anyways." He gestured for her to follow him, and he made it to his Mecha-Beast and climbed on. "Let's get you somewhere safe for now. Hop on my Mecha-Beast and let's get to a village."

  • Jackie had little idea what she was looking at, but this had to be he most advanced thing she had ever laid eyes on. This was an actual, genuine mech she was looking at.
"Oh...Oh this is all...going right over my head."

  • OOC: Can we have a list of all the people who are participating in the rp?

    Alex Yarrow
Alex jumped on the Mecha-Beast, and Curser popped right on his shoulder. Curser waved at Jackie, and hopped right in front of her. "Curser, wait. We need to ask Jackie first before hopping on. You afraid of Slugs?" He smiled, and pulled out his wrench, tightening a bolt on his Mecha-Beast. "We really need to get out of here. Before poachers and hunters come here.

  • Good idea.

    Hugo 'Fyr' Jira

"Up, up, up! Let's go, guys, come on!" The blonde haired teen waited patiently for his crew as they poked their heads out from the knapsack and chirped attentively. Vortex was the first to fly into his respective canister while Spring-Trap shot a strand of silk to vault himself into his. After getting some rest from yesterday's dueling, they were ready to get going.

Today was important, for Hugo was running low on some desperately needed supplies for himself and his slugs, especially with his blaster --- it had taken a beating from the day before. Calling for his Mecha, he opened up the door of his garage, which was a recently new extension to the base he'd set up in the Jungle Cavern. It definitely took some stress out of making sure no smart-guy tried to make off with the hard-won BOOM-R.

  • Jackie semi-confidently shook her head.
"It's Spiders that I'm not into, and these guys seem different to the slugs I know back home." She replied, deciding to try and get on the "Mecha-Beast". It was surprisingly easy to do for her...huh.

  • Alex Yarrow
She knew nothing about this world. "Come on, Curser, we need to go home." Curser hopped back in his backpack, and joined with the other two slugs at his disposal. "You just Fell, right? You'll Need help for this world. I got help two years ago when I Fell as well. First off, the main inhabitants of this tunnel system connecting many caverns are Slugs. They have special powers when fired from weapons of your special typing. Curser, my Hexlet slug has two forms so far. The Protoform, the stage that it is before firing, and the Evolved Form, AKA the Evoform, which occurs after firing them. Got that?" He kept looking straight on, and found the point he was looking for. "Hang on, we're gonna jump!" He went as fast as the Mecha-Beast would allow, and jumped, landing on another platform with a house. "This is my house. Welcome, Jackie, to SlugTerra."

  • "How many are left?" Ali asked. They'd taken out at least half the group within the last few years since the fire destroyed their lives.
"From the sounds of it, roughly 20. If we play it safe, we could potentially finish them off now." Roxas responded. A few moments of silence passed between them, the low hum of their Mecha's the only sound.
"What then?" Ali asked, breaking the silence. She'd never really thought about what to do once the gang was ended.
"I've been looking into it. There's a small cavern that's looking for some time of Sheriff. If things go well, maybe we can get hired there." Roxas answered.
    "And if we don't?"
Roxas shrugged, unable to directly answer. "I guess we'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it."

  • Jackie squeaked and wrapped her arms around his waist to stay on the Mecha Beast once it got rolling. With nothing else to do she just listened to what Alex had to say. So these slugs were everywhere? And they used them as ammunition? This was a very strange place indeed...

She couldn't help but let out a scream as the Mecha left ground and sailed through the air, landing firmly on a platform with a house. It had an amazing view to boot! Welcome to Slugterra indeed.
    "It's enormous..."

  • Alex Yarrow
Alex laughed, and quickly became embarrassed. "It's not that big. . . It's actually quite mediocre. I based it off a couple of plans I had made for a house when I was younger. Anyways, you must be hungry, so I'll cook something." He opened the doors to the house, and let her enter first. After entering, his slugs all got out and enjoyed the nice house interior after travelling a while. They all went upstairs, and towards the rooftop, as usual. He walked to the kitchen, turned on the stove, and put an egg to boil. Heated up, he split the egg in two and placed it on a plate. Alex then headed towards his dining area with the two plates, and placed them down. "Dinner is ready."

  • "Thanks." Jackie replied, sitting down and digging in. She had been exploring the cave system for quite a while and hadn't thought to eat...she could be real careless sometimes. The Boon Doc that had come with them was looking around and watching Alex's slugs jump away, but not following itself.

  • Alex Yarrow
Alex looked at his eggs and split it in quarters. "Since you are a newbie, let me tell you something. You need a weapon that suits you. You are in luck, since I'm a mechanic. I recently got supplies from the store that I modified and haven't used. You have that Boon Doc following you around, so that is your starter Slug. Go scout for another slug once you are done and befriend it. Never force a Slug to be launched." He looked at her directly. He ate one of the quarters and his slugs came back down and ate the rest. "Slugs are creatures too. You need to pretty much become family and help them out." Curser was about to eat Liquid's piece, and Alex noticed instantly. "Curser, you cannot curse liquid to always bite air. Undo it and let her eat her piece." Curser sighed in its cute voice, and undid it. Liquid chirped in a thank you-esque like voice, and began eating. Gale finished eating and burped. Alex laughed. "They are life changing. They've changed my life since I Fell. Oh! If you do manage to get to the surface, don't show your slug. They'll make SlugTerra a vacation spot and build giant towers, ruining the landscape." He looked at the slugs. All of them were cheerful and happy.

  • "How many of these guys are there?" Jackie asked as her own Boon Doc hopped onto the table and started poking the edge of her egg. She didn't mind really, the only pets she had ever really had were goldfish.
"Befriend another one?...are they even going to like me?" She wondered, watching as the Boon Doc tore a small piece of the egg off and started nibbling on it.

"There's a way back!?" She almost instantly jumped at it.
"I-I don't even think Slugs could survive on the surface, they're used to the miles underground. How do we know what effect sunlight has on them?"

  • Alex Yarrow
Alex looked at his slugs, and laughed. Curser, Gust and Liquid laughed as well, tearing up. "Wow, I can't believe you. I've been searching a way out for two years, and I've still not found a way out of SlugTerra. I mean come on, why ask that?" He saw she was serious, and realized his mistake. "Oh. You weren't joking. I can answer two of your questions. First, sunlight doesn't really affect them much. It strengthens the fire and grass slugs and weakens the water and darkness slugs. It's basic elemental typing after all. Second, They're everywhere. Just look around and you'll find them." He looked back at her, and smiled. After all, it isn't very common to see another Faller.
