WHEN I MET YA IN THE SUMMER ~•~ o, late summer surfing

After discovering her two new powers – conjuration and the ability to control air – not too long ago, the young kitsune decided to have a little late summer's fun. Since she was of Hawaiian background, the first, most fun thing to come to the pup's mind was surfing. She adored the sport, remembering simply taking a piece of drift wood and sitting on it on the waveless lake. On this, a warm summer's day, with the birds still singing their songs and everyone still happy and relaxed, Kalani set out on her own to the Skyclan's waterfall tunnels. She got the feeling that the waterfall, with a little bit of extra wind behind it, could stir up some decent waves. That washer plan, but she wasnt entirely sure it would work considering she didnt know very much about how waves formed. Not only that, her powers were still new to her which could pose as a problem.

Nonetheless, the pup arrived merrily at the waterfalls. She sat by the edge of the lake beneath it, and tried to create a little wind above the water to make her own waves. She was unsuccessful the first few times, but was stubborn and set on surfing today. Finally, once she managed stirring up sevral good waves, she conjured up a surf board and set out to go surfing. That was until an idea came to her.

She conjured up several more surf boards of all designs, leaving them standing alone. She also left some paddles nearby. She looked back in the direction she came, not knowing if she'd been followed or not. Kali didnt really care, shouting out, "Come and surf or paddle board, the waves and water are great!" That seemed good enough, as the pup sprinted back to her own purple board in the water to begin her new favorite pasttime.

She beamed happily as a few people came over. She remembered Phan from a while back, but she had been off on her own so much that she hadnt talked with him in a while. She knew and expected some confusion from her clanmates asto how surfing worked, and kindly explained how surfing worked.

"Well, um, surfing and paddle boarding are obviously two different things. One involves a paddle. So for surfing what ya do is you... well, pick out a surfboard..." She watched Superhero come along and do exactly that just before she said it. He put it in the water, hopped on, then fell off. She couldnt contain a small giggle. "Get on gently and feel free to dig your claws it to hold on. The boards are foam for that reason: easier to grip, can still float and hold plenty of weight. After that ya kinda just go with the flow of the ocean... or in this case lake... and get used to the movement of the water undrneath the board. That would be the best way to start: just drifting, gaining a good balance, getting used to how everything moves, chillin' before ya hit any waves."

She did just as she had said to do. Kali placed her own board on the water and climbed on carefully so as not to tip over. To demonstrate, she lay down on the board and allowed it to drift freely while she dug in her little claws a bit. The board bobbed up and down a little bit with small ripples of water under it, just as she spotted Umbrae glaring the other boards, ranging in size and pattern but all foam.

"Go on, pick one out if ya like. Pretty simple once ya get the hang of it, promise."

XD yes retro to winter wonderland. Had like zero clue that was happening until literally right after i created this thread.
