Now, considering they lived on an island, Mar had a feeling that fishing was probably going to be really important to teach to any newcomers. Which they had a few of, and he hoped they'd show up at this-well, unless they knew how to fish.
Pausing in his trek across the beach, Marrowescape realized he hadn't even considered that. Huh. What if they did know how to fish? And then, another, probably even more horrifying thought crossed his mind.
What if they didn't know how to swim?

It was the exact opposite of his original topsy-turvy thought, and although he probably wasn't going to be a good teacher, Marrow would nod to himself as he started off on this new adventure.

Which is why he was standing on the beach next to the pirate ship, about to call for- well, not a meeting, but a gathering of those who didn't know one of the probably most vital parts of being a pirate.
"HEY, ANYBODY THAT CAN'T SWIM, C'MON OVER HERE. I'LL TEACH YOU."
It wasn't the most graceful sentence ever, but it did the job. And so the cannoneer would idly wait for others to approach so they could get this class started.

It was semi-isolated, peaceful, the waves crashing melodically into the shore, the cry of the gulls. Some might find the noises a bit maddening, but he welcomed them. The euphoric atmosphere, however, was shattered by Marrowescape's gracious offer to teach their clanmates how to swim. He knew how, but the snow leopard supposed he'd humor the melanistic canine. "I'd be forever in your debt if you'd teach me," Pollux grinned as he slunk over.

She had swam in lakes and ponds filled with the petals of beautiful flower fallen into the slight current as they flowed over pebbles and lapped at the sand. It was never deeper than her stomach and her mother never taught her how to swim due to there really not being any ponds in the field of those beautiful flowers. So it was probably safe to say since she had never tried it honestly swimming she didn't no how to. So of course the girl came elegantly o the scene. "I need to learn." she said with a smile planted on her maw.
