    okay, blathering aside, here's the story: all these kids have ties to the winchesters and to the supernatural. ben, claire and jesse are joined by krissy and tyler in their monster-hunting caravan. soon, claire receives a vision of the apocalypse, and the message that their team is responsible for preventing it. thoroughly spooked, claire goes running to sam and dean, despite her mixed feelings towards castiel, and she drags the whole team along with her. the original team free will, who thought their trouble was over, now find themselves with a whole mess of unruly kids, most of whom never experienced real parenthood or stability, who are suddenly saddled with a world-ending destiny. despite the difficult, chaotic circumstances, and the overwhelming pressure to get the motley crew trained before the endtimes, the boys find their lives enriched by the presence of these kids, and a strange, hectic, makeshift sort of family forms, and they all realize that whatever happens, apocalypse or not, they never have to face it alone.

    - sam & dean meet tyler thompson at a haunted estate. her "imaginary friend", a ghost named maggie, tries to drown her in the family pool so they can be together forever. sam saves her and the boys remove the ghost from the house, then they leave. DIVERGENT: tyler begins a slow transformation into a ghost.




    - an angel called castiel possesses a young man named jimmy novak, leaving his seven-year-old daughter claire fatherless. her mother begins a descent into insanity. DIVERGENT: claire leaves home after her mother's suicide.




    - dean and sam meet castiel; after a rocky start, he becomes their friend and ally.




    - dean, sam and castiel encounter a cambion named jesse turner. he doesn't know that he's the alleged antichrist; so far, his powers are only responsible causing disturbances in town and making toys come to life, but they recognize that he has the potential to create mass chaos and destruction. castiel wants to kill the cambion, and jesse instinctively turns cas into a doll to protect himself. sam tells jesse that he can choose to be good rather than evil; jesse, overwhelmed with guilt and confusion, restores everything to its proper state and flees the house. jesse uses his powers to begin a life alone. he grows up too fast.




    - dean reunites with an old flame named lisa braeden and meets her eight-year-old son ben, whom he quickly takes a liking to and starts to unconsciously guide and parent. he suspects that ben might be his son, but lisa assures him that he is not ben's father.




    - sam has a showdown with lucifer and ends up locked in the cage.




    - dean moves in with lisa and ben and assumes a normal life. his life with the braedens is later interrupted by sam's return.




    - in an effort to lure dean, a demon takes control of lisa and takes ben hostage. dean saves them, but it's a close call; fearing that his involvement in their lives will harm them, dean asks castiel to wipe their memories and remove him from their life completely. cas complies, and the braedens forget dean ever existed. DIVERGENT: shortly thereafter, ben encounters another demon, who kills his mother. this unlocks the well of memories that castiel concealed, and he begins to remember dean again.




    - DIVERGENT: unbeknownst to dean, ben takes his mother's car and begins life on the road.




    - dean and sam encounter krissy chambers, the daughter of a hunter who has gone missing. they help her reunite with her father and kill the vampires responsible for his capture.




    - krissy later loses her father to a vampire, the same way she lost her mother. she becomes an avid hunter and lays waste to every supernatural being she comes across.




    - ben braeden meets claire novak while she is searching for the angel who took her father and inadvertently stumbles across a haunting. he saves her from a malevolent ghost, and the two strike up a friendship. the relationship contains a hint of romance and they decide to stay together and continue hunting as a team.




    - ben and claire meet jesse turner while investigating a series of strange occurrences in a small town in kansas. jesse is responsible for the happenings, as he is trying to get a grip on his powers and learn how to wield them effectively and safely. he accidentally causes destruction, which attracts the hunters, but while ben wants to eliminate jesse, claire sees the purity of his heart and argues that they should look after him. ben reluctantly agrees, and claire uses her intuition to help jesse train. when it comes time for them to leave town, jesse comes with them.




    - a year passes. ben, claire and jesse become inseparable during this time period, forging an unusually deep bond that leads to a healthy and close, if a bit codependent, relationship.




    - the trio meets krissy chambers on a hunt; they are all going after the same ghost, who turns out to be half-human, a girl named tyler thompson. krissy tries to kill tyler, but claire and jesse realize that ty is not entirely malevolent, and stop her. angry with them for getting in her way, krissy turns against the other hunters, who are now protecting tyler; claire and jesse help her open her mind to the possibility of good and light in a seemingly dark spirit.




    - krissy and tyler, with nowhere else to go, join up with their newfound friends and continue on the cross-country journey, following the pattern of sleeping in the car, booking seedy motels and camping out in strange towns. they find strength in numbers.




    - claire has a vision of the apocalypse and receives a message that indicates it is their destiny to prevent it. this is where we begin the roleplay.




    - claire pressures ben to seek out dean and sam, whom she remembers from the encounter during which she was briefly possessed by castiel. ben is reluctant, but upon seeing how distraught his friend is, he agrees to find the boys.




    - the kids find sam and dean winchester in a bunker lebanon. there, the hunters, as well as castiel, train the children and look for ways to stop the oncoming apocalypse.
