Riverclan. One of the enemies of the Skulls, and one of the few seafaring ones, as well. Now, Marrowescape wasn't going to just idly sit by while it seemed like Riverclan was prospering, from the news on the gossip chain. As much as he idly wanted to make sure that others weren't hurt in the little escapades of the Skulls, he was also fiercely territorial.
And, having grown up on a boat in the ocean, on an island sure, he viewed the water as part of his territory. He would defend it from any non Skulls members. Riverclan, they definitely fell under that section.
So the german shepherd sat on the border, looking out over the water. There was a cruise ship, on the island in the water. They even seemed to live in the laps of luxury!
So Marrowescape waited, tail wagging and flowers having sprouted around him from his pacing a little earlier.

he was sick of this! did they see a 'welcome sign' as they passed into riverclan territory? no, they did not. so, why would they think it was okay for them to simply ignore the scent markers and sit there waiting? jager was beginning to seriously doubt the intelligence of their enemies nowadays. "can I help you? getting enough fresh air?" despite his inner frustration, jager appeared calm, but certainly not friendly. he reminded himself of the different scenarios where the canine would've been unable to comprehend that this was another group's territory. "is there something you need, because is not, I'm going to ask you to remove yourself from riverclan territory." the black smoke hoped backup would arrive soon, because he wouldn't be able to go against a german shepherd and win, even the most skilled domestic feline would struggle.

  • [justify]It was surely one of those days where the sun was draining all thought from her mind. The summer tended to get so hot around here, and the sphynx's body was so fragile to the weather, that she couldn't resist diving into the water. On one hand, she hated swimming, it freezed her up and sometimes the pebbles making up the riverbed would scratch her sensitive skin, and it wasn't a pretty sight or feeling for the warrior. However, the only way to truly beat the heat was for her to lap about within the water, for sale of her own health. She couldn't help her Clan if she wasn't in her best shape, after all!

Cicadashell at first only spotted her Clanmate, Jager, and narrowed her golden eyes, confused as she assumed the Head Riverguard had been speaking to her. Fresh air? She let out an amused huff of air, but suddenly caught scent of a particular being. The Skulls. The warrior hadn't been within the modern day Clans enough to catch the news of what was going on with the rogue-ish group, she only ever remembered their discrimination of females. Instantly her smile slackened, and she stood within a shallow part of the river. "Perhaps he's on a border patrol ..." The warrior noted to Jager, but mostly to herself. He appeared suspicious enough—but had he crossed the border yet? It was problematic enough for him to stand directly on the scent markers.

I'm Athena, how can I help you?" The dog said flatly, staring at the stranger with a mixture of interest and confusion. She had bumped the small Clan to an unrecognized neutral since she didn't consider them a threat, rather than another group that they held no relationship with. If they wanted to pick a fight with the RiverClanners, that was up to them, but why ruin a good thing? Jager and Cicadashell seemed to have the situation under control, but the leader still wanted to see what the Skulls member had to say. It was irritating when people crossed over their river and into their territory as if they owned it. RiverClan had occupied this land since the very beginning. It was their home, and even though they were surrounded by loner lands after WindClan, ThunderClan, and ShadowClan moved away, they would defend it without question.

Marrowescape regarded the others with a disdainful look. Really, he would've been fine with just the name probably, but seriously, living on the water was too much for the german shepherd.
"Evidently getting a heck've a lot more fresh air than you. I'm here to ask just how attatched Riverclan is to it's name and territory."
The cannoneer turned to Cicadashell next, vaguely unsettled by the feline with seemingly very little fur. It... Well, it looked a bit weird to him. But next up was Athena- and really, he resented that comment. Who was the golden retriever to make a comment on how often Skulls members were around an enemy's territory?
"Wow, a Riverclan member, thats a rare sight. Marrowescape. Canonneer of the Skulls."
And he had just answered the other question, so he let it be.

"Should we really care about this thing?" The large hybrid stated as he landed heavily onto the ground from a tree that he had been perched in. He was one of the larger creatures that were currently in Riverclan at the moment. He had smelled something strange, not just another villages scent, but instead something else that seemed to entice him toward the border. Inuyasha knew practically nothing when it came to politics either. He was born several hundred years ago when there were just villages every couple miles, and each village was ran by the head of the village most of the time. Usually it was whoever was in a royal family, depending on how large the village was. He was born during a time of great war between different countries in feudal Japan, which meant that death was everywhere he went. The sounds of snarls and ripping flesh was a common norm at that time, and it never really bothered him to think that war was still a thing that went on from time to time. He never seemed to flinch at something that was disgusting to others either. He had seen quite a lot during his long time, and his life was still only starting. He would have looked much older if it hadn't been for the fact that he had been sealed to a tree for a couple hundred years. Being half-demon meant that he aged quite a bit slower than what most mortals aged in the end. Inuyasha constantly looked down at mortals being weak, as he had yet to see a mortal actually hold its own. He had seen plenty of death in Windclan, as they had been dropping like flies, but also getting captured to. It was hilarious that these mortals couldn't protect themselves again one simple opponent. The half-demon would attack to kill, and he would never go easy on anyone no matter the age even. He probably wasn't the best to disguss with politics, as he was the kind of guy that would just jump straight ahead into battle without a second thought. He occasionally came up with a plan when it came to attacking something, but that was quite rare even for him. He wasn't only strange when someone was looking at his soul, but he was also strange on the outside. He was a mixed breed between a large white dragon and a white german shepherd. Although, he wasn't really entirely white, as his fur was more of a silver color in fact. Due to the large dragon genes that he had inside of him, the hybrid was just a little bit smaller than that of a full grown lion, and he wasn't even really done growing.

He doubted that he would get any taller though, but his muscle mass would likely continue to grow. The only part of his body that really showed that he was part dragon was his feet, which were the feet of a dragon, and the scales that went up to his ankle, and with his back leg the scales went up his leg. His skin was also thicker than regular skin, as it was the skin of what a dragon would have too, so it made it hard to pierce his skin with simple scales. At the same time, he wore a crimson hued kimono that was made from several layers of dragon skin and scales, making it stronger than regular leather armor. It also couldn't be caught on fire as well. Another piece of his arsenal was the katana that was strapped to its side. It was completely useless in the un-awakened state, but once he was able to awaken the demonic blade, it would grow into a massive sword. However, that only worked occasionally as he still wasn't sure how to really work it. Inuyasha was still fairly new to the clans, let alone Riverclan as he had just transferred from Windclan. He was noticing more and more canines, which was a plus as he didn't exactly like cats all that much. The large male stayed a decent distance away, but he already didn't like the asshole that was in front of him. He smelled different from a mortal, but he didn't know why. The half-demon didn't believe in Gods, as he had never seen one before, but he knew that there were some beings that had different scents to them in the first place. The black nose on the tip of his muzzle would twitch occasionally as he inhaled the others scent. He wouldn't remember the others name, but he wouldn't forget the others scent. "Is anyone against driving this thing into the dirt?" Inuyasha wasn't even acknowledging that it was something. his first line of defense was to be incredibly violent. He didn't care that the other was also a german shepherd. That was the last thing on his mind. He was bored, and wanted to get some action going. A smirk spread across his jaws as he flexed his white dragon claws into the earth beneath him. This place was a whole lot more interesting than Windclan that was for sure. The creature in front of him was an idiot if it thought it was capable of taking all of them on without losing its life. The thing wasn't a mortal as far as he could tell. Therefore it was fair game to kill.

Athena wasn't sure if she should be worried or amused by the presence of their former enemy. They hadn't bothered the pro-clan for almost a year, and she assumed they were no longer a worthy opponent due to the group's size. They were a rare sight for many reasons, however, and it was still surprising to see the gutsy Skulls member taunting them. "Obviously we enjoy our name and land, since both have been passed down from generation to generation. If you're trying to intimidate us, it's not going to work. The Skulls is dead to RiverClan, and we no longer recognize you as an enemy since you're too pathetic to be on our list of concerns." Athena growled, deciding that she would treat the stranger with an equal amount of contempt. She wasn't the type of leader to keep a constant smile on her face, and she tended to be aggressive toward those who pissed her off, despite their allegiance or status. The gruff voice of Inuyasha drummed in the background, and for a moment, wondered if she should let the Skulls member off with a simple verbal warning. Frightfur had said in a private meeting that the best way to send a message to someone was through actions, not words, but did the Warrior Code agree with that logic? "If he doesn't leave in the next minute, you can do whatever to him. I could care less." That was all she had to say about this situation. There wasn't anything else that Athena could think of that would be worth her time. Turning away from the scene, the canine would make her way back into the territory, trusting that Inuyasha could handle the punk.

[screams bc u both have so much mUSE agh x> oh, and er, mar is a mortal. hes a demiboy, which is where i think you may have gotten the not mortal part from? its fine though x> ]

Wow, rude much? Marrow tried his best to hide a small jump when Inuyasha jumped down from the tree, but the german shepherd couldn't hide a slight flinch. Heck. Now his 'careless cool kid' persona was messed up. Not that he'd really been a cool kid, more of a dork.
Something about this strange german shepherd caught Mar's attention, though. Were those- did he have scales?
Now, maybe the cannoneer had a problem. Maybe he needed to stop suddenly getting crushes on absolute strangers because they ended up being partially mythical- first the angel, now this guy? The only way this whole situation could get any more embarassing was if Mar suddenly saw a siren somewhere on Riverclan territory and fell head over heels for him.

Idly realizing he had zoned out there for more than a minute, Marrowescape stomped on the ground once, an angry look on his face before he realized, rather late, that he had just squashed one of his precious flowers. Wow, this day was just not looking up for him.
"Ugh, no, that was not an intimidation tactic and look at what you just made me do! Squish this innocent flower! And- agh, are you really goingto insult us? Really? I'd say that more than qualifies us as your enemy- now, at least. But fine, I'll leave for now."
Were they really so attatched to all this water they had and the water also in their name? That was a real bummer.

Vacking up from them, Marrow started to turn to leave, before realizing that he couldn't leave all his flowers there, on this territory owned by such disgusting creatures.
Glaring at Athena, Marrow moved back to where he had been standing and gently pulled up the flowers, making sure not to damage them.
"Ahnd I'm taking me flowers, too. Just for that little stunt of callin' me a thing. I am a living creature, thank you very much."
And then he would slowly back up, retracing his steps carefully and pulling up the flowers while still glaring at those present from Riverclan.
"Ahm tellin' Hyde about thissh too."
