[fancypost borderwidth=0px; color: black; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; width: 420px; height:;]Lukas chuckled as he shook his head. As much as he loved seeing the excitement on Eliza's face, she had to understand what he was capable of, and what he wasn't capable of. "No, no. It's not mind control at all! Eliza, I have the power to kill people without laying a finger on them! And to make matters worse, I can barely control my powers!" Lukas confessed, feeling guilty. He highly doubted that she was more deadly than him. Which brought him to his next question. Lukas looked at Eliza with a raised eyebrow. "So what can you do?" He asked curiously. If they were going to escape the people of their kingdom, Lukas needed to know what she was hiding, too.

Truthfully, Lukas was fascinated by this girl already. He didn't need to see more in order to know that she was a force to be reckoned with. Blue fire? Hissing? If he was being honest with himself, she sounded pretty terrifying. Lukas didn't know how they ended up together, but somewhere deep inside he was grateful they ran into each other. All of his life, he had practiced concealing his ability, but with Eliza, he felt as if he could share anything. Lukas hoped she felt similar.

Though Lukas was dying to know Eliza's power, something in the back of his head was warning him that they'd better be on their way, and his instincts were usually worth acting upon. Getting up from the couch, Lukas grabbed his two bags of supplies and headed for the door. "Look, you got lucky now, but sooner or later, I'll figure out what you can really do" Lukas announced with a smirk. But right now, they had to go.[/fancypost]

-- Though she understood what Lukas was saying, she still didn't seem to mind. Though it did seem pretty intense. "I suppose that's why you have Forbidden Magic." She hummed thoughtfully, frowning softly as if she were thinking hard about it. She liked to over-think things. "Well just keep yourself in check and don't go under pressure. You'll be fine." She hummed before sighing softly and looking at her own hand. But that's when he'd asked her about her own magic. She was rather excited to show him her different flames, she only knew of three but she was rather proud of them and liked to show them off and their abilites. But she'd wait until they were safer for the whole 'I turn into a mini-dragon' thing. And she opened her mouth ready to tell him all about it when suddenly Lukas got up which made her sigh softly before getting up after him. She too grabbed her bag before slinging it over her back and fastening it, making sure her hood could get over her head if she needed it to.

"Maybe next time." She laughed slightly at his remark. But soon joined him by the door before nodding. She was ready to go when he was, and she'd follow him wherever he leads. Hopefully, he knew where he was headed. Though she was certain they both just really needed to get out of Kingdom grounds. Out to where the real wilderness was. Subconsciously her mind traveled again as she began wondering if there were more mythical creatures outside of the Kingdom's territory. Mythical creatures existed but often avoided the Kingdom in fear of the King and the villagers. So they'd probably meet plenty of cool new creatures they hadn't before, unfortunately Dragon probably wouldn't be on that list although.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; color: black; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; width: 420px; height:;]Lukas nodded. He would do the best he could at keeping his powers in check. But not going under pressure? This whole situation put him under pressure! He could die for what he's doing now! Lukas rolled his eyes as she said that.

Once Eliza joined him at the door, Lukas turned to her and gave her a brief rundown of his plan. "Okay. Chances are, the villagers will be everywhere out there, looking for us. If you so much as hear a twig snap, let me know. I've never tried this before, but I think I can cover our appearances long enough for us to sneak past the kingdom borders." Lukas knew as he was out of his mind. This whole plan was risky. He's never even made a colored image! Well, there are first times for everything, I guess. He thought to himself. Without making sure Eliza even approved of the plan, let alone understood it, Lukas was out the door and running across the small field of flowers.

His goal was to at least make it halfway to the border by nightfall. That would mean they would have to run at least 3 hours without breaks. Lukas knew he could do that, but he wasn't too sure about Eliza. She seemed tough, he'd give her that, but he knew nothing about her endurance. He hoped for the best. Whether it took two days, or five, they would make it to safety. They had too.

Once they got past the border, though, Lukas had no where to go. Yes, the mountains would be suitable for know, but when they needed clothes? Food? It was crucial they find another village to live in, whether it was temporary or not. He could only pray that they would be accepting of newcomers, if they even existed.

It was about 30 minutes later when Lukas decided that the silence between them was driving him insane. He slowed slightly until they were jogging side by side. Aside from the sweat forming at the top of Eliza's brow, she looked as if running this long hardly mattered for her. Lukas smiled. "So. What about your family? Will they miss you?" He asked in between breaths. He couldn't believe how little he knew about this girl. She was practically a complete stranger to him, as he was to her. Well, a stranger and a thief.[/fancypost]

-- Eliza ran after him, doing her best to keep up though she did admit the silence was unsettling. The girl's black cloak flowed out from behind her, and thought it did slow her down a bit she prefered to keep it on. She had no idea how long this would go but she at least hoped they would be able to take a break. It seemed the longer they went on the more feeble the girl grew. She began tripping over small and simple things and her legs started getting achey. Oh how she wish she could transform right now but it was too dangerous within castle walls and Lukas still didn't even know of this other form of hers.

Thankfully the silence was dispelled as Lukas spoke up, she was relieved to see him slow up a bit but she still had to keep her pace in order to remain in step with him. Her blue eyes kept ahead of herself, careful not to trip over anything as she thought about what he'd said. She smiled grimly at the thought but tried to laugh it off weakly. "Er... I left my family when I was 8." She started, temporarily forgetting the pain of running as her mind wandered down memory lane. "My real parents I never knew, I was taken into an adoptive family." She added, clarifying her reasons a bit better. It made more sense for a child to run from her fake family than it did her real one. Then her brain seemed to wander further as it always did, Eliza phased out for a moment as she wondered. I wonder if my real family hadn't given me up if I would've still run away?' She thought, a small frown edging the corners of her light lips.

She quickly snapped out of it though as she realized she had to keep focusing on her feet to ensure she didn't fall. "I can't imagine either of my families missing me at this point. But I did have someone in the village who I have a feeling will miss my company... She's the only person I've ever met and learned to trust enough to tell her my secret." She admitted sheepishly. Lukas might've thought her to be insane to give away such a secret to anyone. But she trusted Jera and in return Jera offered her kindness and support. Eliza smiled weakly at another memory. "She use to call me... Dra-" She quickly stopped herself from saying the nickname. She didn't want to confuse or scare Lukas, she'd tell him about the whole dragon thing at a later and calmer time. But the nickname Jera had given her was too dragon-related for comfort at the moment. "E-Eh what was that?" She suddenly asked, relief washing over her as she managed to avoid the subject by pointing out the rustling amongst the distant trees. There couldn't have been any magical creatures or people living this far out here so her mind only wandered towards the thought of wild animals, prey-creatures or predators. She tensed up a bit and subconciously quickened her pace, she didn't like the smell of this. A slight hiss rumbled in her throat as she looked around carefully with her icy blue eyes, also scootching a bit closer to Lukas' side just in case something were to pop out at them.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; color: black; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; width: 420px; height:;]As curious as Lukas was to hear all about Eliza's former nickname and family, the distant rustling was a more important matter to attend to. His body stiffened at the sound, before placing himself in front of Eliza. If it was a threat, Lukas knew he had the best chance of stopping it. Putting a finger to his mouth, he slowly crept toward the sound. It didn't sound quite human like, so Lukas presumed it was a bear of some sort, given the noise it made. Once they were a few yards away from where he guessed the animal was, Lukas peered through the brush. Sure enough, standing right next to a small creek, a grizzly bear came into view. If they so much as whispered, it would be able to pinpoint exactly where he and Eliza were hiding, so Lukas was left no other choice. He would have to kill this thing using his powers.

With a sad glance at Eliza, Lukas turned toward the beast. It's not like he wanted to kill this thing. It was simply life or death out in the forest, and Lukas much rather preferred to be the one left alive. He took a shaky, unsure breath. Praying to the gods that this would work, the young man let all the control he had built to hide his power crumble away. Immediately, Lukas could feel the hum of darkness within his fingertips. Man, it felt good to unleash it. Right now though, his only task was to kill that bear.

In one fluid motion, Lukas raised his hand and squeezed his fist closed. He could hear the bear's heartbeat slow as his power slowly wrapped itself around it, suffocating it. Within seconds, the grizzly bear's body fell to the ground. Only after a few seconds of complete silence did Lukas finally relax his clenched fist, breathing hard. Sweat was pouring down his face at this point. Lukas needed to rest. Using his ability in such a way took more out of him than he'd expected.

"I'm sorry you had to see that, Eliza. I understand if you want to leave me and go back to the village. I'm a monster." Lukas murmured, refusing to look at her face. His gaze wandered to the ground. What had he done? What did she think of him now? Even though he had originally planned to escape alone, he couldn't imagine it now. Lukas needed her more than he ever thought possible.[/fancypost]

-- Eliza blinked in slight surprise as Lukas had stepped before her. Her blue eyes widened as she looked up at the back of his head. It felt... strange. Having someone to actually protect you. It was a feeling unfamiliar to her. But she ceased her thinking to realize Lukas had a finger to his lips. She nodded faintly, understanding as she followed close behind him. Although as the large brown bear appeared in the distance she stiffened herself. Her body subconciously heating up as she prepared for anything. Although no flames emitted, her body heated up significantly.

The light-haired girl glanced up at Lukas again as he passed her a sad look. Her icy eyes softened as she seemed to understand as he had glanced back at the bear. And quietly she watched, she refused to look away. These things would happen and she needed to accept them. Though she'd hunted many smaller animals in the past she'd never seen a beast so large. Eliza's eyes wandered back to Lukas, watching as he seemed to concentrate and the sweat began to form on his brow. It must've taken a lot out of him. She'd have to make a mental note of that for the future.

Suddenly it seemed in the blink of an eye the large beast toppled over, suddenly dead. Eliza couldn't help but feel a bit spooked by the sudden surge of power, but she remained where she was. Letting out a shaky breath of her own to try and calm herself. But watching as the boy relaxed she tried to regain a calmer composure. At least until Lukas spoke. Mentioning he was a monster. A frown formed on her face as she watched him. And although it sounded stupid for him to say it, she couldn't help but admit to herself that she felt the same was. She was a monster too. A gritty smile was forced onto Eliza's face and she seemed a bit misty eyed even as she grabbed the side of his shirt to grip it in her hand. She was quiet for a moment before she looked up try meet his eyes. Her eyes were serious but she forced a small smile. "Then... I guess that makes two of us." She explained softly, but there was a serious edge to her voice. Suddenly she let go of his shirt and she looked down before exhaling and shaking her head.

Glancing back over towards the bear she nodded. She'd accepted it. She knew it had to happen. But she suddenly smiled, her soft eyes focusing on the bear. "Your sacrifice won't be in vain. I promise we'll get out of here." She thought aloud. It seemed the heat she'd built up in her body dispelled and her temperatures returned to normal. She then glanced about. They'd have to continue in this direction if they wished to reach the exit of the Kingdom. But she suddenly paused, looking back at Lukas she realized he must've lost quite the amount of energy. At least luckily for them, nightfall was approaching. So perhaps they could camp somewhere? The girl hummed quietly, thinking as she looked about. There was a small divet in the land where the ground was lower than the rest and tree's thickly surrounded it. She suddenly pointed towards it before looking back at Lukas. "We can set up a camp for the night there." She suggested, nodding at him with another small smile.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; color: black; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; width: 420px; height:;]Lukas forced an appreciative smile. He didn't expect her to react like that. Nodding in agreement to setting up camp here, Lukas sat down on the forest floor. He had begun to feel lightheaded. The camp would have to wait until he was feeling strong enough to unpack their materials. Hopefully that wouldn't take too long. He didn't want to make Eliza do all the work.

"So, what was it you can do?" Lukas asked her, resuming their conversation from the safe-house. Since he had just demonstrated his ability, he thought it was only fair if she did too. That, and he was just really curious to learn more about this girl. She was fascinating in every aspect. Lukas pulled out a small box of raisins from his bag and began to snack on them absentmindedly. He wasn't feeling very hungry, but he figured he should do anything he could to keep his strength up. They would be running most of the day tomorrow, after all.

Once Lukas ran out of raisins to eat, he threw the empty box into the forest. He looked back up at Eliza, another question forming on his lips. "Also, what did that friend of yours call you?" Lukas asked out of sheer curiosity. As much as he thought sharing a secret as big as this was a huge danger, Eliza seemed to really trust this ally of hers, so he wouldn't question her actions. Maybe if he had a better friend back home, he would've told too.

-- Eliza nodded before starting to gather a small amount of dry wood and stones as Lukas took a break. She didn't mind doing this for him, it was probably hard on him using magic like that. Though as she started setting up a simple fireplace she paused upon hearing his question and her blue eyes lit up eagerly at the thought. She was rather eager to show him her flames! So she too paused to sit down in front of him, a bright glow in her blue eyes. Watching as he begun to snack she hummed thoughtfully before replying.

"Well; as you had seen before I use a kind of fire magic. But unlike normal fire users I can control different kinds of flames. I could learn a whole bunch but so far I only know three." She explained carefully before moving out her one hand to cast a normal flame. "There's my normal fire. Hot and burns flammable things." She explained before switching and then summoning a blue flame; the one he'd seen earlier. "Then there's my blue fire. Unlike normal fire it's really cold and won't hurt you." She added, as if to demonstrate Eliza used her fire-free hand to grab Lukas' hand before pulling it closer to her and pulling it onto the blue flame to show him it's cooling affect. Though when she moved his hand back she then grimaced a bit as she had to focus a bit harder to turn the blue flame into a neon green one. "T-This is my green flame. It's one I recently learned so it's harder to use... But it's poisoness and can hurt people by burning them with an acid-like flame." She explained before quickly extinguishing it and letting out a sigh of relief. She then stood up smiling again as she showed off the many ways she could control fire. Like engulfing herself in it and even breathing it from her mouth. "I can control fire in many different ways but this is nothing compared to what I can really do." She explained carefully

Eliza seemed to shy up; hesitate a bit as she backed up. Doubt glowed in her blue eyes as she watched Lukas. She didn't want to scare him either. She'd grown a liking to the boy and he was one of the first people she could trust so easily. She didn't want to ruin that. Now a lot less proudly and more hesitantly she pulled off her cape. Allowing it to fall of and reveal her attire. She was dressed in simple brown shorts along with plain black t-shirt. But the girl seemed very hesitant. She glanced down suddenly, her eyes no longer meeting his. "You gotta promise not to freak out okay?" She asked softly. She waited a moment but before waiting to long she turned around and walked over to a nearby large tree to hide herself behind it. The transformation wasn't graceful, in fact it was the opposite, painful and disgusting. So she wasn't prepared for him to see that. So she changed behind the tree.

Soon the cracking sounds of muscles and bones occurred and her hissing returned as pain riddled her body. Her skin ripped away into nothingness, leaving white scales behind as her body morphed into her dragon form. Soon wings emerged from her back and her sharp hisses turned into throaty growls. Blue Celtic markings began to form over her wings and parts of her chest and face and then a few white majestic horns from her head. There was no longer a cute little girl there. But now a horse-sized dragon. Eliza hesitated before speaking up, a hiss in her voice and her voice slightly lower than before. But despite her voices' roughness, a slight nervous edge still hung to it. "That woman called me Dragoness." She spoke aloud before removing herself from behind the tree and shyly slinking out into the open, where Lukas sat. The white beast walked on four clawed limbs and wings lay rested at her sides. Her blue pupiless eyes watched him with a boldness only a dragon could hold yet her body language read fearful and unsure.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; color: black; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; width: 420px; height:;]Lukas watched intently as Eliza demonstrated her fire abilities. His eyes grew wide as she took his hand to set it in the blue flame. It was cold, yes, but it wasn't the kind of cold that would typically be associated with winter, per se, but rather with magic. Lukas could feel the power radiate off of her, just the same as it did when he used his ability earlier. "It's so cool" he marveled as she extinguished the flame. He thought for a moment before adding, "No pun intended." Lukas smirked, laughter dancing across his hazel eyes.

His laughter quickly diminished, though, as Lukas watched her take off her cloak. What exactly was she planning to do? Lukas gave her an encouraging nod before she slipped into the cluster of trees. A few moments later, he could hear faint hissing and popping sounds and a rough, reptilian voice as Eliza spoke. He stared in complete awe as she, now a dragon, padded toward him. Dragoness. Her friend called her Dragoness. The corners of Lukas's lips lifted. So that explained why she hissed at him when they first met. Eliza had the ability to transform into a dragon, a rather small one, but Lukas hardly cared.

He stood up and walked closer to the beast before him. "Did you actually think I would be scared of you like this?" Lukas asked, a curious tone in his voice. What she was able to do didn't make her a monster at all. For some reason Lukas just couldn't picture her killing something, even in her dragon form. Hesitantly, the young man reached his hand out to touch her scales. They felt just as they looked, rough, smooth, and soft, all at the same time. He then began to examine her wings. "Can you actually fly with these?" Lukas marveled as he ran his hand across them. She was extraordinary. It baffled him that the same pretty girl he had been running through the forest with, could also turn into this. He couldn't help but laugh. What were the odds that he was able to meet a girl who could also become a dragon? [/fancypost]

OOC-- Oh thats okay! Don't worry! I'm glad your back now! ^^

IC-- Eliza watched him uncertainly as he'd approached her, complete awe written all over his face. It was kinda cute; in a humorous way. Seeing the boy with such a dark power acting in such a way. In a way it made her feel uncomfortable as he ran his hands along her scales. Despite how it looked on the outside, on the inside it just felt as if he were oddly touching her arms and normal skin. Although hearing what he said made her blink her solid blue eyes. Sadly, she did, she truly believed him or anyone else would be fearful of her dragon form. But it seemed she was greatly mistaken, as Lukas only seemed mesmerized by her wings. She remained silent for a while longer before Lukas asked about her wings. This seemed to make her laughed a bit, her muscles loosening up as she relaxed a bit more. Her actual wings were nearly translucent. They had a light and thin feel to them and despite the power, they could withstand in air, they were actually one of her weakest spots on her body. In combat, any weapon to her wing could be extremely dangerous and could tear it. Of course, she'd heal over time, but with tears in her wings, it made her unable to fly.

"Yeah I can fly with them." She'd replied, a small smile creeping upon her jaws as she turned her head to the side to watch him with one eye. "But they're delicate with sharp things. It can be a huge weakness for me. That and they're also naturally sensitive cause the actual wing part lacks my protective scales." She added. There were large blue Celtic marking all over her wings that glowed ever so slightly.

Then curiously Eliza laughed again, a funny but tempting though entering her mind. "Do-.... Do you want to go for a quick ride?" She asked. She'd never allowed anyone to ride on her back before, and to be truthful she didn't know how much weight she could actually carry. But hey, if she could manage to hold him and still fly, then it could prove useful for the future if they were to ever get into real danger. Although naturally, she couldn't stay in this form forever, using this form was tiring and draining as it was. But if she wanted to protect and help Lukas, she'd have to train herself to become physically stronger and more durable. That, and she especially wanted to learn how to control herself better. With a long, muscular tail and even larger wings, she was really good at hitting anything at close range when she moved quickly. She was being particularily still for that reason, she didn't wish to accidentally injure Lukas.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; color: black; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; width: 420px; height:;]Lukas smiled apologetically at the dragon. At her. He quickly shook his head. Right now, they didn't have the time to fly around. They had to finish setting up their camp. Besides, Lukas was a baby when it came to heights. He would never be able to tolerate flying. "As tempting as you make flight seem, I prefer to stay on the ground." Lukas admitted, face heating. He glanced away from her and stared at the ground instead. It hasn't even been two days and he had just admitted the fear that scared him most.

Clearing his throat, Lukas turned to face the fire Eliza had built. He began to walk toward his bag of supplies before she had the chance to make fun of him. Ever so carefully, Lukas concentrated on his dark, stormy magic as he raised his hands to summon his illusions. To his surprise, the image was in color this time, though it wasn't very big. He had made a copy of Eliza, as a dragon, and sent it toward her. He smirked a little before letting it vanish. Though he would never admit it, that was the first time he had ever been able to create something so real, so lifelike. Lukas flashed her a grin before turning around to rifle through his bag. He pulled out a small, torn sleeping bag and unrolled it on the ground. It was the best he had to bring with him. A new one would have cost more coins than he brought after he leaving his family.

The young man glanced at Eliza again, still in her dragon form. "We should probably go to sleep. We have to leave early tomorrow morning in order to make it past the border." Lukas said in a gravelly voice. Without another word, he tucked himself in his tattered sleeping bag and scanned the forest around him. He hadn't meant to hurt Eliza's feeling by declining her offer to go for a ride, but he knew it was probably a mistake to, nonetheless. He skipped eating that night, aside from the small snack he had consumed earlier. Lukas closed his eyes and forced his breathing to look even, but he never fell asleep that night. He refused to let Eliza see him have his nightmares that marred his sleep night after night ever since he had discovered his powers. [/fancypost]

-- Eliza was slightly surprised he declined the offer but as Lukas clarified his fear of heights she merely nodded, she was tempted to tease him over it. But considering he'd opened himself up so much in only a days time she wouldn't press him over it. Everyone had things they feared and Eliza did too. For instance the copy of herself seemed to startle her. Eliza hissed at the dragon as it approached but as soon as it disapeared confusion glittered in her eyes until they locked back onto the boy who seemed to be smirking. "Hey! That one was in colour! You actually startled me there for a moment." She hissed, narrowing her eyes at him in a playful manner before relaxing herself again and letting out a heavy sigh.

The girl quietly watched him as he'd went to his bag to pull out a tattered sleeping bag. She didn't mean to look so blunt but she stared as he settled down into it and appeared to be falling asleep. He had a point, they should get some rest. The white and blue scaled creature grumbled softly before glancing about. She was still quite the bit paranoid. Sleep wouldn't be as easy as normal. Eliza's blue pupilless gaze searched the forest as she very carefully turned, trying her best to watch her long tail and carefully folding her slightly opened wings back to her sides. The large reptile took a few steps away from their little camp before taking another deep breath and closing her eyes, soon a red flame over took her body and with a little bit of concentration she forced herself back into her human form. It was slightly painful, more so than transforming into her form and she groaned as she plopped down onto the soft earth below her now human feet. She fell onto her rump and growled slightly at the pain before getting back up to her feet and retreiving her cloak. She was rather fond of it and unlike her normal clothes it could rip while transforming. Her clothes her magically made by Jera to disapear when she transformed and re-appear back in her human form. Unfortunately her cloak wasn't the same magic material.

The light haired girl retrieved her cloak before wrapping it over her shoulders and heading back to where her bag was. She removed that blanket she had gotten from Jera earlier that day and she wrapped it around herself before laying on the ground by the other side of the fire. She'd propped herself up against a tree for a little while to watch the fire before sighing and slowly moving down to the ground. It took her a little while, but soon Eliza fell into a light slumber. Soft quiet snores escaping her as she awaited daylight.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; color: black; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; width: 420px; height:;]Lukas waited until he was absolutely sure that Eliza had fallen asleep before sitting up in his sleeping bag. He listened to her soft snores as she slept, and couldn't help but smile. At least she was able to rest without too much trouble. Lukas decided to spend his time taking watch over their small camp. He stealthily rose from the forest floor and started pacing the edge of their small camp. It was only a few minutes later when he glanced at the fire that he realized it served as a beacon, leading their enemies right to where they hid. Crap! We are so goddamned stupid! Lukas thought to himself with an angry growl. He had to conceal the fire place, or people with start coming for them.

It took a good few minutes before Lukas was able to cover the image of fire with an image of his own, but he was pleased with himself when he looked at his end result. It looked as if there were never even flames there in the first place. The young man smiled at his success, as he resumed roaming their camp. He made sure not to make so much as a single sound as he walked near Eliza. Being stealthy was something Lukas had mastered long ago, when he was just a boy. He paid attention to every twig on the ground, taking care not to step on them.

After a good few hours of aimlessly prowling around, Lukas let exhaustion take hold of him. He wandered back to his blanket and snatched it up, only to move it next to where Eliza lay, still snoring. He plopped down onto the ground and shut his eyes, finally letting sleep claim him for the night.

Big mistake. Sleeping was a mistake.

Lukas abruptly sat up in his sleeping bag, panting as sweat poured down his face. No matter where he went, Lukas would never be free of those awful nightmares that took hold of him every single time he closed his eyes. He slammed his face into his palms, breathing hard. It's just a dream Lukas. None of it was real. The young man repeated those words in his head over and over until he believed them to be true. Taking a shuddering breath, Lukas glanced over to where Eliza lay next to him. She had stopped snoring completely, and part of him wondered if she had heard him wake up.

It was then that Lukas looked toward the sky, and noticed the light pouring through the canopy of trees. They had to get going soon. With a small grunt, he was up and began packing his stuff back into his bag. He then swung it over his shoulder and turned to the fire, which was still burning. He had let his illusion drop as soon as he awoke from his nightmare, to terrified to keep it up. Lukas sighed before stomping it out and then turned to Eliza. He knelt down next to her and grabbed her shoulder, shaking it gently while murmuring, "Hey, Eliza, time to get up. We gotta get going."[/fancypost]

-- The girl had stirred upon hearing sudden movement followed by panting. It was intense, as if someone had just been running forever. But there was no running involved. Eliza decided to keep quiet for now, it didn't take long for her to close her eyes and just desire more sleep. Although as a sudden shaking on her shoulder occured the young girl groaned and rolled over to face away from the person trying to wake her up. "Ju-st a... few more minutes..." She whined, before hearing a male's voice. She jolted suddenly, snapping up right and backing up a bit before seeing Lukas. She stared at him with confused blue eyes but as she studied her surroundings a quiet sigh escaped her lips and her head drooped a bit. It wasn't a dream.. Lukas is real. She thought to herself. As if to confirm this she suddenly reached forward with a delicate hand. Although she abruptly flicked his forehead once she was close enough before humming and taking her hand back. "Eh- Sorry 'bout that. Just making sure." She nodded before rubbing her tired eyes and looking around. She noticed the fire was out and Lukas was already prepared to go so she too readied herself.

Packing her blanket away from her pack she slung it back over her shoulder and got up onto her tip toes to stretch her legs before also reaching her hands up towards the sky to stretch her sore arms. They had a lot more to go before they were close to being free from the Kingdom's watch. They had no time to delay. Eliza straightened herself out before fixing her hair as good as she could before looking back at the dirty blonde haired boy. "Alright. I hope you know the direction." She inquired, a bit hazily rubbing her bright blue eyes again before looking about to scan the scenery. It seemed peaceful so far, but she had a feeling it wouldn't stay peaceful for long. The Kingdom had to know of the strange happening by the village and if the power hungry King was as serious about rare magic as he was said to be- then surely he'd have royal guards on the hunt. Eliza dreaded the thought. They'd be forced to fight if they were caught. The thought of the two of them trying to flee from a crusade of men on horses was a dreadful thought. She could picture countless ways they'd be caught and dragged back to the Kingdom were they'd face trials and torture. The pictures in her head were much too vivid for her own comfort and she silently cursed at herself as she tried to avoid such terrible thoughts. Eliza feared hurting those who were innocent, and the royal guard was techincally innocent in her books as they were only under the order of their King. But she'd have to wrap her head around the idea that these men would probably be looking for her and Lukas' lives. They'd have to fight, as much as Eliza hated the idea.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; color: black; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; width: 420px; height:;]Lukas grinned as Eliza stirred, muttering for him to let her sleep. That grin turned into a piercing scowl as she reached up and flicked his forehead. He rolled his eyes at her explanation. "I didn't know I was that good looking, to be considered a dream" Lukas teased, a smile playing on his lips. He waited patiently as she gathered her belongings and then joined him at the edge of their camp.

To be perfectly honest, Lukas didn't have a single idea to where they were headed. He knew only to head east, toward the border. After that, they were on their own. Still Lukas responded, "Of course I know where I'm going. I had this whole thing planned out for years." in his most reassuring voice, not caring that that was a lie. Lukas glanced at her once and then began jogging through the woods at a steady, easy pace.

It must have been obvious that Lukas didn't get adequate sleep last night, because he was barely jogging after an hour of running. Typically he was able to run for a few hours before he tired. Lukas shook his head, attempting to clear the exhaustion from his clouded mind, to no avail. "We- We have to stop for a sec" Lukas grunted. He waited for Eliza to slow to a walk before the young man lowered himself to the forest floor. Her rubbed at his eyes, letting his heart rate slow. Lukas took a few deep breaths before standing up and slinging his bag back on his shoulder. "Sorry about that. I- I didn't get much sleep last night" He admitted with a frown. Lukas began to walk again, not trusting himself to run just yet.[/fancypost]

-- Eliza returned his scowl as he tried to mock her words, she stuck her tongue out at him before beginning to follow him. Fortunately for herself, she got pretty decent sleep considering all the paranoia and the rough sleeping conditions. She kept up with ease, sometimes even getting a bit ahead of him much to her surprise. It didn't take her long to realize he was struggling so she obliged when he requested a quick break. Unfortunately this would slow them down a lot. Especially at the pace they were going. The red haired girl watched Lukas with slight concern in her icy blue eyes. He's struggling. She mentally noted, now that she looked at him, she noticed his eyes did look rather tired still. Although as Lukas kept walking she stood there for a moment, merely watching him before rolling her eyes and jogging to catch up before walking alongside him.

"I hate to point out the obvious, but this is going to slow us down at this rate." She mentioned, pausing for a moment before grumbling slightly to herself and crossing her arms over her chest before huffing. "I can carry you if you want..." She mentioned, face flustering slightly as she scowled at her feet. It seemed like such a weird thing to say considering she was a girl. But realizing he might've misunderstood her she quickly corrected herself. "In dragon form of course... No offense but I'd probably die if I tried to try to carry you like this." She grimaced at the thought but chuckled afterwards. Who knows, maybe she was strong enough to carry him a few feet before collapsing.

"I mean, believe me, it's not like I want to carry you. I've never carried anyone on my back like that in the first place. But it'd be helpful to know if I can and if so how long I can take it. That and it might speed this up a bit. After all, I'm physically stronger in my dragon form since I loose the ability to use any flames. Which I personally find rather stupid since I'm a dragon and all but I can't even breath fire or anything cool like that." She seemed to ramble a bit before pausing and laughing awkwardly. "Oh- Er sorry about my rambling... I guess I'm not really used to talking to people this often." She laughed meekly, smiling up at Lukas as she walked beside him.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; color: black; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; width: 420px; height:;]Lukas listened to her ramble with a mocking smile plastered across his face. He looked at her, considering their options. Finally, Lukas said. "Are you sure you won't drop me?" He asked, covering the fear in his voice with a small laugh of his own. The last thing he wanted to do was let her carry him, but she was right about their time. It was nearing midday and they had only made it a few miles. Lukas let a long sigh escape him. "Fine, you can carry me, but so help me god if you drop me...." Lukas shuddered at the mere thought.

He wasn't exactly scared of her, but the though of being so far above the ground...it made Lukas's stomach churn. Good thing he hadn't eaten this morning. Lukas took one last glance at Eliza before asking one more question, albeit a dangerous one. "Can I, um, watch you change into a dragon this time?" he said, wincing. That probably was not the right thing to ask. His cheeks colored as he went to correct himself. "I-I mean, I don't mind if you don't want me too. It was a stupid question anyway. I'm sorry" Lukas added quickly, refusing to look at her. [/fancypost]

-- Eliza rolled her eyes at his words, "Oh I'll drop you alright." She hissed sarcastically before giggling slightly. But once he gave in she nodded with a sigh. She was a bit uneasy about it too, she wasn't exactly sure how he'd even get on or how he'd sit, but perhaps just think of her as a really weird horse... Yeah! A horse with scales and big giant wings... Yeah? She shook off the thought and was prepared to distance herself when Lukas' words caught her a bit off guard. He wants to see me transform? She questioned, watching him in slight uncertainty. She watched as he too seemed hesitant about asking and she respected that. But she was more surprised he wanted to see it. It wasn't special really. In fact.. It was quite the opposite. In her mind she always thought it was horrific. Her blue eyes studied him for a moment before awkwardly she rubbed at her wrist. "I-I mean if you really want to see it... But I'm warning you now it isn't really pretty." She added painfully. Surely last time he could hear the cracking and shifting of her body from behind the trees. It didn't sound really nice either now that she thought about it. Although she decided to oblige him, after all, he did ask. Plus it would make transforming in the future easier if he knew what it was like.

Slowly Eliza nodded, backing up from him a bit, cautious about how much her body would be expanding. She carefully removed her black silky cloak before throwing it to Lukas and putting her bag down nearby him too. She then took a deep breath, forcing her blue eyes shut and focusing her mind. Surely enough soon her body began to twitch and the hissing began in her throat from the slight pain she was forced to endure. Slowly her nails grew dark and longer and length and her skin began ripping away, revealing her white and blue marked scales beneath. The process began to speed up and her hair blew about as she let out more magic energy. It didn't take long and the 'fun' part began, her bones cracking and shifting as her arms and legs grew in size and width and her body completely expanded into a dragon-like form. Then wings sprouted from her back and thicker scales grew, a tail grew and her hair seemed to fade away into the fins and horns atop her head. Her clothes disappeared thanks to their magical thread and Eliza's eyes flashed open to their pupilless dragon ones. She grimaced for a second before shaking out her sore body and growling rumbled from her throat. Suddenly Eliza glanced up, a bit timidly looking at Lukas, slightly fearful for his reaction.

"I-It's okay... If you find it weird or anything... I think it's kinda gross honestly." She rumbled, her voice changed into it's deeper and more bold tone.
