Kabuki had been journeying for a while, and had no shame in stating that he had been complaining to himself the entire way. He wasn't ashamed of the amount of complaining he did on the daily--it was just normal to him. And to him, his complaints were always justified. The sun burning down onto his back could easily lead to sunburns or even worse--skin cancer! The rivers he was forced to drink out of probably had the amount of bacteria a port-a-potty did, and he wasn't planning on catching any terrible diseases anytime soon. And this terrain! Sure it was only slightly--very slightly--at an angle, but he was a pretty clumsy cat and if he fell--"Mother nature has a lawsuit on her hands."
He continued walking until he smelt something different hitting his nostrils. Creatures? So he was close to civilization? To Kabuki this was good and bad. Good on one hand because he had went out to search for others to join. But bad in the sense that he did not like being around others. Not because he hated others--although he was pretty anti-social--but because he wasn't just worried about himself 24/7, but other people too. If he had made even someone as close as an acquaintance, he would always been thinking about how easily they could get hurt! He would need to protect every creature he saw, whether they liked or not.
"I should've packed more hand sanitizer..." He grumbled to himself, just thinking about everyone he'd meet and the possible diseases they could catch. Being out here in a forest was not exactly germ free. He sighed. Why was he born as an animal, forced to live out in dirty, dirty nature? Sure the scenery was great--but think of how many ways you could get hurt? The white and red striped tom had grunted to himself and tried not to focus on that.
Instead, he would focus on the adventure in front of him. This was definitely clan territory--and that meant that there had to be people nearby, right? He sat down onto the green grass and let his tail curl neatly over his paws. In the distance he could spot some sort of building--a haunted house or something spooky looking like that. That had to be a place full of creatures, right?Straightening out his back and tilting his muzzle up into the sky, he had called out, "Hello? This is a clan, correct? I would like to join, if I may?" His voice was raspy and judgmental, as if he was already opposing the idea of joining a clan. But, it was too late. The words had already left his mouth and had entered the ears of anyone surrounding him.
