But cracking things was fun.. He gave a playful little pout at her as he reached over for the second egg. Of course, it didn't really help that he hadn't totally been looking at it because he half missed and the egg was sent rolling across the counter to land at his feet. Egg and egg shell was now all over the floor, with Tom staring down at it in almost confusion like he wasn't sure what had just happened. Ooooops.. She was gonna be mad at him, huh? 'This place must be haunted or something. There's ghosts throwing eggs at people.'

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-family:arial;]Georgia's eyes followed the egg's journey from the countertop to the floor below and she made a bit of a face but nothing that could really determine her emotional state. "Well... One egg lost for humankind. But at least we got plenty more where that came from. Just...watch where you're going this time, will ya?" she added that last bit with a laugh.

Tommy slowly lifted his gaze to look at her, relaxing when she didn't yell at him. Huh. That was a change. He laughed mentally, before pushing off the counter. His plan was to get paper towels and another egg. What actually happened was, as he was turning to face her, he misplaced his foot and suddenly it was no longer beneath him and he was leaning forward. Evidently, it was too far forward for him to keep himself upright because suddenly he was falling towards Georgia. Olive eyes grew wide in surprise, and out of instinct he put his hands out to catch himself on the counter behind Georgie, it just happened that he managed to put one arm on either side of her, essentially trapping her against the counter, as he stumbled forward, barely managing to stop his fall before they collided. It was fairly close though, assuming she hadn't moved completely out of the way, his nose nearly touching her's. In the movement, his hood had fallen from his head, and shaggy orange hair fell across his eyes as he grinned in an awkward, boyish way, too stunned by everything to move.

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-family:arial;]One second Georgia was moving to go back to mixing things but the next second she was turning when she noticed that Tommy was moving quite quickly in her direction. Turning, she backed up rather quickly once she registered that he was was falling towards her, though he caught himself right before he collided with her. His hands gripped the counter top on either side of her, and he was so close to her that it was like there was no air for her to breathe; as if he was stealing it all away. She stood there in the silence, lost in the fact that they were just...there. Her gray eyes were frantically searching for something to focus on other than the fact that Tommy's face was quite close to hers, so close that if she leaned in just a bit she supposed her roommate would count it as a kiss of some sort. But they kept coming back to his eyes and the strands of curly carrot hair that fell down his eyes. Usually he had his hood on, so it was strange to see his hair there. But his eyes; an olive color, so worn down but also so full of life. They were standing so close and yet so far. Should she or shouldn't she. She wasn't stupid. This was the moment in the movies and the books where the girl just went for it; just straight up kissed the guy. But Georgia wasn't that girl. In her head, her story's happy ending didn't come this easily. Chuckling a bit she looked down, short blue hair covering her face for a moment before she looked up. "Didn't I tell you to watch where you're going?"

It was kind of like one second he was there and she there and the next they were both there. And in that second everything just kind of flipped in his head because he was staring at her storm colored eyes that were trying so hard to not look at him, and he was so very aware of how pretty everything about her was. His smile just kind of faded as confusing thoughts filled his head, that he was trying to keep straight and it wasn't really working. Just little notes of everything about her that he hadn't seen before. He didn't fully understand what he was thinking because he hadn't thought anything close to that before. Smiling innocently, he'd lean forward only slightly out of some strange impulse so for a moment their noses touched, before he pushed off the counter and sat back on his heels. All of a sudden the light feeling in his chest was gone and he felt heat rush to his face as he stood there, realizing that maybe what he'd just done was pretty weird and she would be offended by it or something. Immediately the idea of her disliking him made his heart drop to his stomach as he tried to keep his awkward smile on so she wouldn't be weirded out by his silent display of thoughts. 'Sorry, it was probably the ghosts..'

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-family:arial;]The ghosts. Oh how ironic.

Reading his words she realized that her mouth had been slight agape, as it stretched into an open smile. Feeling the heat rising to her cheeks, she turned away as he released his grip on the counter; essentially freeing her from his makeshift prison. The girl turned to the side and crossed on arm over her chest while she held her head with the other, making something of a thinking pose but she definitely wasn't thinking so much as trying to figure out what to say next. She wasn't angry or sad or annoyed. No she was...elated. Her heart was bouncing in her chest and she could feel her body starting to shiver nervously at the idea of the two of them almost locking lips. Should she have done it? Looking back on it...probably. It was highly unlikely that she'd ever get to that spot with him again any time soon. But she didn't want to essentially throw herself out there and possibly get hit head-on by a a bus of rejection.

Looking up, she glanced at the clock. There was no way they were going to finish those cookies in time for class. But hell if she was going to abandon what they had done so far.

"Where were we... Right! Eggs." It was a bit of a derailment of the intimate encounter that they had just had but she had to get them back on track somehow. The girl reached across the counter and put the other egg in the bowl and then tried to remember what was next. More mixing probably. So she picked up the bowl and began to mix and beat it, looking towards Tommy and motioning towards the flour mixture that they had made earlier. "Could you pour that in here for me?"

For a moment he was terrified. Simply because any normal person would be irritated that some moron just slipped on an egg and nearly slammed into them. But he.. He didn't want her to be irritated at him, and the thought that he'd been making a fool of himself this entire time was sort of just now starting to sink in. However if she was annoyed she certainly didn't show it and very soon they back on the cookie making track. Okay. Quietly pulling in a deep breath he'd nod and dump the mixture into her bowl with an awkward grin as he tried to pretend like everything was perfectly normal.

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-family:arial;]Tommy was right about one thing. Things were very much not normal anymore. As Georgia continued to stir up the mixture, she found herself trying to avoid his gaze, him, anything really. She didn't want to add to whatever had just happened considering she...honestly didn't really know what had just happened. But she hated the silence; as if it was slowly building an invisible wall in-between them. So she reached out, and she punched it back into crumbling pieces. "Thanks...by the way." She opened a new hole in the bag of chocolate chips and poured a bunch in before continuing to mix again. "For helping me with the cookies. Pretty sure that if you were someone else I'd be doing this on my own."

It was odd because he'd always been so used to silence - for obvious reasons - but now it seemed like it was suffocating. But he didn't have anything in particular to say - er.. write - so he couldn't fix this. And maybe she didn't want to talk because she hated him now or something. That would be sad. But then she was talking. Thanking him. For what? He paused as she added in the making cookies part. Oh. "It's no problem. I mostly just did it so you wouldn't beat me up." Well, he supposed he could've just said no and walked off. But he was scared of Georgia's anger. But.. That wasn't totally true, he realized. Going back to his thoughts in the moment he realized he'd done it simply because he liked her and deep down had felt bad for messing up her class project thing or whatever it was. And.. Spending time with her might be fun. So.. So there.

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-family:arial;]//now we gotta make one where they're dating and he can actually speak + we could just use this one and switch the setting/circumstances

As Georgia read the words she frowned a bit. Did she scare him? Did she...really? Sure Georgia Cipher knew she wasn't exactly the nicest girl on the block but...the guy she liked was scared she was gonna beat him up? That didn't exactly make her feel any better. But she wasn't going to say anything. He didn't need to know that. So she laughed instead, laughed to hide the slight discomfort and pain but it was something she had to live with daily. Georgia had always been the one to want to get in fights, even as a kid. It was just a shame that it had followed her all the way to college. "I don't think I could beat you up even if I wanted to." Well... It was the truth.

yeee should they like continue from this point or start back at him eating strange cookies in the hallway?

She seemed.. Slightly upset. Maybe not. Maybe he was making that up. But.. Had that not been okay? Probably not. He was never good with words, in several different ways. He was faintly aware of her history of violence but he wasn't aware it was a touchy subject, he was trying to make a friendly jab at her temper but he'd been stupid again. Awesome. As her laughter faded and she spoke, he smiled lightly, unsure totally what that meant. Like.. She didn't think she could hurt him? Because he was definitely not stronger than her.. Or.. She didn't want to hurt him? Because.. That would probably explain the discomfort before. Had she been offended that he'd even suggested she'd hurt him? Was it so painfully obvious that she would never even try because she cared? No that was.. Just silly. It was probably the first one but she just overestimated how strong he was.. Yeah.. "Actually, you're probably a lot stronger than me," he'd try and laugh to make it less awkward. Had she known that already? Maybe he was completely wrong about this. Panic kind of started bubbling in his stomach but he ignored it and added on, "so what's the next step?" He wrote it kind of awkwardly and the writing seemed slightly shaky, like if he'd been speaking that sentence would've included multiple 'uhhs' and 'ums'

"Well now it's the boring part." Turning back to the counter, Georgia slid the cookie sheets towards her while she held the bowl in the crook of one of her arms. Using a tablespoon to scoop pieces of cookie dough onto them, she repeated this until both of the cookie sheets were filled. Then she slid them into the oven and pressed the timer. 10 minutes. Then she reached into one of the drawers and pulled out two spoons and held one out to him. "Now it's the fun part."

He would probably try to stand up on the Ferris wheel and almost die

Tommy would watch as she scooped the dough onto the pan. He was pretty sure he understood what was happening. When they cooked they'd flatten out into cookies. How did that even work? They were just balls of stuff. Oh well cookies were cookies. When she offered him a spoon he reluctantly took it, unsure why they needed spoons. As she mentioned the fun part he frowned. What could they do when the cookies were baking? There was literally nothing left to do. Evidently, he'd never made cookies with his mom - he'd never really had a mom - so he assumed she'd just wash the bowl as it was, which left no reason for the spoons. So he just kind of stood there, head tilted awkwardly, holding the spoon like he didn't even know what it was.

And this was the part where Blue hit the fastforward button on everything. Now the setting and the circumstances were different and everything was good. Yes yes very good.

It was the middle of summer, and Georgia was pretty sure she had never been as thankful as she was for summer vacation than she was right now. Perfect day to head to the Amusement Park. And who better to go with her than her new boyfriend. Yeah you heard that right. Georgia and Tommy were now officially a thing, having gotten together soon after classes let out for the summer and now they were usually always seen together. They'd been at the park for the past couple hours, and now it was waning into early evening, about 4 or 5 o'clock if you wanted to be specific. Running a hand through her short hair, recently dyed blue again so that it was brighter and fresher than it had been weeks ago. It got her some stares but she didn't even care. She'd recently stopped caring considering how happy she was, which was a miracle in and of itself. Glancing over at the boy, still wearing his white hood even if it was like 90 degrees, and laughed, "Okay so where to next? What rides haven't we gone on yet?"

It was hard to let a girl who made great cookies go. He'd found that out pretty quick though it'd taken him almost a million years to say something. But that didn't matter because it was over and everything was great. He threw an arm over Georgia's shoulders, though it was probably less romantic and more dorky when he did it. "Um.." he looked around thinking, as well as fighting the urge to say 'food court'. "I think those two roller coasters," he pointed at a few large metal hills in the distance. What else? "Oh, we haven't gone on the carousel," he was joking, just naming things as his olive eyes found them.

"Oh oke-" He was cut off as she suddenly started dragging him along. He only tripped once as they went, and just kinda laughed at her energy. He was glad she wasn't totally against the idea of fun - not that he'd thought she was.. At least, out loud.. To her face - and actually seemed pretty relaxed in this place. She'd loosened up considerably from when she'd been anxious about everyone's opinions of her, as well as despising everything at the same time. But this was nice. Being a regular, totally normal couple for once instead of just two dorks messing around. Although normality probably wouldn't last long knowing them. That was okay too. "Wait, are we seriously going to the Ferris wheel?" he asked with a laugh. "I'm not complaining, I just have to ready myself for convincing the ticket lady I'm eleven."
