[[No prob. I just had a weird little moment...I was like 'How could you hate me? I'm AWESOME!' for some reason, thinking of a younger Shikon xDDD]]
"Why do you want to hate me, then?" In a moment, something dawned on her. "Because I'm like your father?" She asked, her voice suddenly uncharacteristically quiet.

((xDD lolnice))
Jace stiffened, some foreign emotion momentarily flashing in his eyes. Then, a scowl crossed his face, and he glared at Shikon. "Never mention my father," he growled, suddenly stepping towards her, until he was towering over her, his eyes flashing. "I hate you because you double-crossed me; made me think I had someone to trust in. I let down my guard, actually let you in--just for you to turn your back on me."
-
Shikon almost took a step back, fearing that Jace would try to hurt her, but she stopped herself, standing her ground. There was nothing but truth in his words. And, thinking about it, she realized it was just another thing to add to her list of regrets. She wanted to apologize, but she was almost certain that he wouldn't believe her, no matter how many times she said it. She also wanted to say that she knew how it felt, but it'd be lying. She had never put her trust in someone, only top be betrayed. She could imagine, however, that it felt terrible. She fell silent, her gaze finding its way to her feet.
-
Jace narrowed his eyes, gazing down at Shikon as if he wanted to put a bullet through her head, then he stepped back. "I loved--I love you, Shikon," he muttered. "But I can only assume," he said, turning away, "that mortal emotions amuse you because you have none of your own."
-
Shikon rolled her eyes despite the situation. "We've been through this." She said, raising one eyebrow at him. "And it won't work this time."
-
((Has he already said that to her? xDD I can't remember))
"I would expect not," Jace said simply, making for the cave entrance once more. "I wasn't planning on it, anyway." With that, he stepped out into the sunlight, disappearing from view.
-
[[xDD yeah, their first fight, remember? She kicked him out of the cave xD]]
Shikon could only stand in the cave--narrowly avoiding the sunlight as the door opened and then closed again--and watch him go. She turned her attention to Sebastian, sighing. -
((Oh xDD lololol I knew that))
Meanwhile, Sebastian lay unmoving on the floor, listening to everything that was going on around him but unable to respond; he felt as if his heart had been lodged into his throat. Normally, he wouldn't have been affected much by just a bullet wound, since he'd taken many of them in his lifetime; however, this was no regular bullet--in fact, he hadn't been shot by a bullet at all, but a tranquilizer dart.
As trivial as it seemed, being hit by a tranquilizer was worse for him, in this state, than being shot. Because of the effect they had on animals, his body naturally tried to change to human form so that it had no effect on him; however, because the dart had already drained him of most of his strength, it was impossible for him to do so. Because of this, his body was constantly being racked with painful contorts, enough to knock out most full-grown men. -
Shikon turned and walked into the guest bedroom, formerly Jace's and before that Adrian's. Inside a drawer that had been carved straight into the wall, Shikon found the first-aid kit. You wouldn't think a vampire would have one on hand, yet she did. She grabbed the little white box and went back out to where Sebastian was, crouching beside him, a wistful look in her eyes.
[[I forgot...did he get hit in the shoulder?]] -
((Er...Sure ^^'))
Sebastian gazed absently at one of the cave walls, his tail sweeping across the floor. He barely noticed as Shikon knelt beside him, wincing as another sharp pain racked his body.
-
[[...now I'm worried.]]
Shikon saw the wince and quickly noted it, opening the kit to pull out a small qhite cloth. She ran her hand over his shoulder for a moment before she located the wound, which wasn't difficult to do, and gently pressed the cloth to it, keeping a steady amount of pressure in order to stop the bleeding. "I'm sorry, Sebastian." She said quietly, unsure if he could hear her or not. -
((Wai? .3.))
Sebastian tensed some at Shikon's touch, then instantly regretted it; the simple movement caused a numbing pain to course through his body, and he clenched his teeth. He might've flicked his ears at her words to show that he'd heard her, but he wasn't going to risk it. Instead, he continued to just lay there.
-
[[nevermind xD]]
Shikon felt him tense, and worried for him. She could tell that he was in a lot of pain, and she let up the pressure on his wound. Hard as it was to ignore the sight and scent of blood, she carefully removed the now-red cloth and got out an antiseptic wipe from the kit and then slowly began wiping the wound clean. She was pretty sure it would sting, but she didn't dare risk infection. -
((Oh xD))
Sebastian tried to open his mouth as his shoulder began to sting, longing to tell her that resolving the situation was as simple as pulling out what was left of the dart; however, he couldn't say anything, and only hoped that she'd notice it before the pain literally killed him.
-
Sebastian remained silent, as if they weren't talking about him.
-
"You are a ztupid girl, we did zhiz to keep you zafe!" The woman barked, annoyance flashing in her slate grey gaze. "Now, I do not need to reazon vith you. Zebaztian, come, now."
-
Sebastian looked as if he were about to finally speak up for himself, but a tranquilizer dart had embedded itself in his shoulder before he could. He blinked, wincing slightly as he plucked it out, and sighed. "You people really won't listen to reason, will you?" He muttered, swaying slightly on his feet.
[[-points-]] -
((...Oh
xD
Erm
-cough-
This is embarrassing
Lemme try that again xD))Sebastian tried to open his mouth as his shoulder began to sting, longing to tell her that resolving the situation was as simple as retrieving the reactant to the tranquilizer from the woman's pocket; however, he couldn't say anything, and only hoped that she'd notice it before the pain literally killed him.
-
Shikon turned to look at him, pulling her hand away from his shoulder. She felt as if he were trying to tell her something, but she had kept her mind strictly shut around him. However, being a natural mind-reader, she could tell that he wanted her to do something. Deciding that he probably wasn't going to say it, she slowly slipped into his mind, hesitating at first. She didn't like to do this to people that she knew, as she felt is was invading their privacy, but she was pretty sure it was necessary. Her voice was soft in Sebastian's mind, What is it?
-
Sebastian stiffened as Shikon spoke. He blinked, frowning slightly. He'd obviously heard her voice, loud and clear, but it hadn't sounded natural. It had been more of an echo, less of what someone would sound like if they were talking directly to him. Wait, had she been talking to him through his thoughts? Well, he'd seen weirder. Still.... Er...The antidote. In Svetlana--I, I mean, the woman's--back pocket.
-
[[You stole Tigerblood's technique for making things awkward...]]
Shikon frowned. Why hadn't thought of that? Of course the woman had brought an antidote; it was only common sense. Bring the poison, bring the antidote. Glancing over her shoulder at the dead woman, she sighed at her own stupidity. After a hundred years, she was still having blonde moments--even though she wasn't a blonde. She got to her feet, walking back over to the woman and kneeling down to reach into her back pocket to quickly retrieve a small glass bottle.
[[low muse, sorry]] -
[Oh
Ahh
Cool xD]Sebastian continued to lie motionless on the ground, still in puzzlement from Shikon's little mind reading stunt. Obviously it wasn't just a fluke; he'd told her what to do, and now she was doing exactly as he'd instructed, retrieving the antidote from Svetlana's pocket. It amazed him a bit, but at the same time, it was sort of concerning; had she always been able to do this? What was he thinking, of course she had--it wasn't like the skill had developed overnight. But why hadn't she told him about it?
