    "Wha-" Shikon didn't get a chance to finish her question as he carried her off in his arms. Where could 'home' be? Her cave? He didn't know where it was, and it was pretty small. His house? No, he had a family there. "Where?" She asked.

    Shikon paced the clearing, impatient. Where is here? He promised he'd be here! She thought, scowling. She growled quietly, her red eyes ablaze. Five more minutes, then I'm leaving. She thought, after checking her watch. 12:24 a.m.

    "Guess who." A hand reached out, grabbing Shikon's shoulder and pulling her into shadow. Jace hung upside down from the thick branch of a tree, his golden locks framing his face perfectly. He smiled, his eyes gleaming in the darkness, and pulled her towards him, planting a soft kiss on her lips. He dropped down from the branch, somehow landing on his feet, and straightened up, brushing himself off.

    "Jace!" Shikon greeted him with a hug as soon as he was on the ground. She stepped back, forcing herself to frown, though it was difficult. "You're almost half an hour late, you know." She pointed out.
    ((Did you know that gerund is a word? I did not XD Imma look it up))

    Jace smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "What did you think I was supposed to tell my family? 'Hey, I'm going out to the middle of the forest to meet my new vampire girlfriend. Keep dinner warm for me?'" He shook his head, leaning against the tree and crossing his arms. "Normal people don't usually go for that excuse."

    Shikon's frown broke, revealing her affectionate smile. "What did you tell them, anyway?" She asked, starting to pull a rubber band off her wrist. She wore a red and black plaid skirt, a black blouse with a bloody spiderweb design on it, and her black converse, with her long red hair down.

    Jace ignored her and glanced up at the branch he'd just fallen from. "If I made a joke about just dropping in," he said thoughtfully, "would you write me off as a cliche?”

    "Yes, I would." Shikon said, though she didn't appreciate it when he ignored her questions. "So how have you been?" She asked. It had been a week since they had met.

    "Okay," Jace said, crossing over to where she stood and pulling her into his arms. "A lot better now that we're here together."

    "Same here." Shikon said, smiling broadly. "I've missed you." She leaned in to kiss him, her hands on his shoulders.

    Jace smiled and kissed her back for a few seconds before brushing past her. "I want to show you something." He said before disappearing into the trees.

    Shikon followed him quickly, grabbing a hold of his hand to walk beside him. "Show me what?" She asked.

    "You'll see." Jace said, grinning. He pulled her on until they arrived in another small clearing. The moon shined brightly overhead, bathing the clearing in moonlight. A single large, budding flower with silky purple petals that seemed to radiate light sat in the middle of the clearing. Jace sat down beside it, pulling Shikon down beside him.

    Shikon sat down next to him, looking lost. "Why're you showing me a flower?" She asked.

    Jace only shook his head, watching the flower. As he watched, the petals began to peel open, revealing a sizzling ball of silver light. Jace sighed and reached out, taking a handful of the light as if it were a solid material. He stared down at the light which danced around in his hand, reflecting in his eyes. He suddenly turned to Shikon, throwing the stuff all over her.

    Shikon shut her eyes, but slowly opened them. "So many things to ask..." She said, shaking her head and chuckling. "Why did you just throw that at me?"

    Jace grinned, dusting his hands off as the flower once again sealed up and melted into the ground, where it would remain for years. "It will give you anything you want--anything in the world--for three days," he paused, his tone growing serious. "But be careful what you ask for. The Luxor Rose can be very sly, and tends to turn your words against you. One minute you're wishing to be more of a buck of a man, the next minute you're running naked down Madison Avenue with antlers on your head. Not," he added hastily, "that this has ever happened to me.”

    Ooc: I'd rather you not, since this is kind of just Shikon & Jace thing. Sorry! (Scarlet rose is pretty popular, I'd try that thread)

    Shikon looked taken aback. "I, uh, can't really think of anything I want," She said. Except... She shook her head, knowing she couldn't ask for such a thing.
