As stated above, this clan was built from cats descending from each of the five clans. Moons ago, the first leader found the descendants of other clan cats, after those cats being visited by their ancestors, then called Starclan. These cats then became the first leader, deputy, medicine cat, and elder of Hurricaneclan. They found the new territory, followed by other descendants of clan cats, and spread out to find any more survivors. Along the way, they were met by rogues, loners, and kittypets, some of which they recruited into their new clan. Here, Hurricaneclan was born, strong and mighty and ready to brave the storm.

Commander- This is the rank corresponding to the leader of the clan. This cat receives more lives, like leaders would in the old clans, and their roles are similar. This type of leader receives 5 of their 9 lives, because the other 4 are reserved for their mate, because the belief is that they are 2 halves of a whole. They represent the clan, they lead the clan, and they conduct ceremonies. The suffix of their name is still -star.
Escort- This rank is always the mate of the Commander. The rank is also not always filled, depending on if the Commander has a mate at the moment. Like the Commander, this rank receives extra lives, but only 4 lives instead of 9. If the Commander dies, the Escort takes over their place and is not permitted to take another mate, until the time that the Lieutenant receives their 9 lives and takes their place as Commander. This cat's lives are tied to their role, and so at the time that the Lieutenant receives their 9 lives, the Escort goes back down to one, from whichever number they were at. At this time, the Escort has the choice of either retiring to the elders' den, or going back to regular clan duties. The Escort assists and supports the Commander, but does not lead the clan. They are present for all meetings of the clan superiors.
Lieutenant- This cat is the equivalent of a deputy, with no extra lives or anything. They organize the clan patrols and training sessions, as well as advising the Commander on decisions. They are also pleasant at all meeting of the clan superiors. The Lieutenant must have held at least 1 apprentice.
Medicine Cats- In this clan, because of the large territory and because of the mass of members, there are 2 of these. They have the same role as in the old clans, healing the clan as well as advising the Commander and taking an apprentice when they feel ready. They are present for all meetings of the clan superiors. They cannot take mates.
Medicine Cat Apprentices- Like the medicine cats, there are also 2 of these, and are chosen by the medicine cat when the time is right. They are present at all meetings of the clan superiors, though until they receive their full medicine cat names, they are forbidden from speaking at them. They cannot take mates.
Head Warrior- This was added to Hurricaneclan when it began again, and this warrior oversees the others. This warrior sleeps in a den with the Lieutenant, and has a high respect through the clan. They are wise, and chosen by the Commander, and must have held at least 1 apprentice. They are present at all meetings of the clan superiors. There is only 1.
Senior Warriors- In this rank, there may be up to 2. They must have held at least 1 apprentice, and are wise like the Head Warrior, but not the same. They are a group of wise, older warriors who have the experience to advise on decisions. They are present at all meetings of the clan superiors.
Warriors- Like in the old clans, these are the same. They fight for the clan, protect the clan, train apprentices, and feed the clan.
Messengers- This role comes in handy when a message needs to be brought to one of the neighboring clans. These cats are typically lithe and fast, and not only learn the warrior duties carried out by all cats but also the way of a messenger as well. This role carries respect throughout the clan.
Apprentices- Like in the old clans, these are the same. Taken from the nursery at 6 moons old to train to be warriors of the clan. The suffix of their names is still -paw, and they have a mentor.
Messenger Apprentices- These cats are in training to become messengers. They are taken from the nursery at 6 moons, chosen for their speed and intelligence as well as determination, and only trained by messengers. Typically, their training takes just a bit longer than that of normal apprentices, but they are also well respected.
Head Queen- This rank is given to a cat who always stays in the nursery, caring for the kits as well as their mothers. They are respected in the clan, and do not necessarily need a mate. They are present at all meetings of the clan superiors.
Queens- Like in the old clans, these are the nursing or pregnant mothers of kits.
Kits- Like in the old clans, these are all cats younger than 6 moons.
Head Elder- This rank is given to a highly respected elder, wise beyond belief, who advises on important clan decisions. They are present at all meetings of the clan superiors.
Elders- Like in the old clans, these are the former warriors retiring to the elders' den.
