  • @all tutors, you are welcome to help out customers whilst I'm away. It is your job as well, y'know :)
bingusmelon , I'm glad you've found a tutor! Have fun learning and improving!
Risk , I'm happy to take on another student, but I'll need more information on what you roleplay and what you're having a problem with to give you a suiting tutor. Explaining your problem doesn't need to be in-depth. A few simple words like 'describing my character' or 'conversational posts' will do. If you can't think of any major problems, go ahead and post a sample of your roleplay here!

    also, bump :)

  • Haha, I hope you're enjoying that. All of the tutors are welcome to pick their customers. I'll take whoever is left :)

sounded so selective and wrong, i'm so sorry ^-^

  • Thanks, Goldie-chan!
I think my biggest problem is that I don't roleplay out my characters' personalities, and I sort of post to go along with the plot. Like if I play a character that faints when they see blood, and they end up in the middle of the battle, I'll just forget about the whole fainting thing because I want them to react and stuff. But the more I do that the more the characters represent me and not themselves, if that makes sense?

So you need to work out your characters personalities? Keep with it kind of thing? Hmm, I might be able to help you. I have some interesting cats. (Like evil kitties hehe, kidding) If it is okay to have a second student? If not, that's okay too.

  • Risk , that makes perfect sense! You see, I have that problem as well, but you can easily get over it. It's only a bit of an explanation, so I'll just do it directly on this post.

If you want to really get into your character, you have to be your character. If you say that your character is afraid of blood, then in battle, you can say that she truly is afraid, but wants to stand strong for her clan/group and defend them, fight for them, etc. You are allowed to mixing a little bit of 'you' into your character- there is no rule for that. For example, I had a character who was protective and broken because of his past. I roleplayed him as an overprotective guy that doesn't care if anyone hurts him. However, I didn't want him to be so cold, as it was difficult for me to express himself through roleplay, so I added a bit where he will kill anyone that harms his sister.
When roleplaying, my biggest advice to you is to stick to the plan, keep it in mind, but don't be afraid to add in a bit of yourself.

You're more than welcome to help Risk and it is fine if you have more than one student.

  • No, not really :) The thread has kind of slumped, so I don't think it's going to be as popular as it was in the good ol' days.

    Bumpity bump :)
