  • [justify]And this was the third one! She was told to read a book to everyone, which wasn't exactly the most exciting task, but whatever. Lily was probably just scared she'd get herself hurt again. Which, she had. She got a paper cut. Oh well, it hurt like hell, but it was really tiny. Wincing slightly, she called out, "Anyone wanna hear a dramatic reading of Harry Potter?"

  • [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]As long as it wasn't My Immortal, he was there. Cringing inwardly, he'd make his way over to hear Ephemeral better. Harry Potter was cool. It was a nice read on its own, but a dramatic read of it would make it better. The tom-cat settled himself down and would offer the spotted female a light smile to signify he would be listening.

    Maybe he wouldn't fall asleep.

  • [justify]"Harry Potter's a book series crafted by the wonderous J. K. Rowling. It's about a boy called, you guessed it, Harry Potter who's a wizard and goes to this wizarding school in Scotland called Hogwarts," Ephemeralpaw explained, trying to do her best without completely ruining the story.

[justify]"I am in as long as what you will read is as poetic as your looks." Golden canine uttered in a honey voice as he flashed his signature smile; the bruises and cuts on this stranger's pelt told on Tamaki since his flattery was quite massive this time — if he complimented females to flirt. Yet, his innocent flattery was for their pleasure, so they could feel the best of themselves, so technically it was not purposeful lying. About this series, Harry Potter; he had no idea of it. Was it also a valuable literary piece? He had read about World Classics, famous writers and poets' masterpieces, but none was J.K. Rowling. Ah, he had to catch up. Still, at least he knew about wizards! He had had plenty of costume parties before, and once he had hosted a similar themed tea party. Speaking of which, he planned to organize a small event soon so he could greet new people.

He let himself slide next to Riverpaw, greeting his friend with a smile.

  • [justify]"We got quite a few flirts in BlizzardClan, huh? Dude, you should do talk to Francis," Ephie mewed in response to the compliments, grinning at the male. "Okay, I guess I'll start now," she continued, pulling the red and gold book from behind her. Clearing her throat, she began to read. "Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much," she read in an incredibly fake British accent. As the girl continued through the chapter, she threw in several noises to go along with the story and motions and other things of the sort to make it feel 'dramatic.'

[justify]When the small apprentice announced her presence, the golden canine found himself watching her actions and wondered; was it not tiring to write everything you would like to say out loud on a piece of paper? Tilting his head to a side he continued observing closely with a brotherly manner, a mild, geniune smile blossoming on his maw. That was until Francis was once again mentioned. "Eh?" His fictional eyebrows were furrowed as he glanced at Ephemeral. Then he chuckled, waving his paw in the air. "Oh I do know him, but you have mistaken my intentions. I only flatter out of my courtesy which is deserved by females in the world. Francis is..." A tint of red could be spotted on his cheeks with the idea of sexual matters. "You know Francis. Do remember my name, hun, it's Tamaki." His gaze slid over at the Riverpaw for a second. "Not Tomato or any vegetables' name." Then he fell silent, allowing the feline to do her job. It was entertaining to watch and listen, really, this dork was easily amused.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-family:arial;]Lucina was with Riverpaw on this one. A hairy potter? What on earth was that supposed to be about. But then Ephie explained that it was actually a person, a human, who was a wizard. A wizard? Well Lucina knew plenty about those. She'd known some of the best after all; Ricken and Miriel. So of course she was going to listen to a story about wizards. If anything this sounded like the most realistic story she was likely to ever hear.

Riverpaw suddenly asked, apparently not very good at following plotlines more complicated than those found on a preschool's bookshelf. Listening was not her strong suite. As Tamaki spoke and sat nearby, Riverpaw greeted him with a friendly wave of her tail. "Well hey, fancy seein' ya here, Tomahawky. Ya come to lissen' to the wizard story?" she asked with a bright grin, still somehow unable to get his name right. Well, at least she was confident even in her mispronunciations. As he mentioned his name was not Tomato, and in fact Tamaki, she tilted her head. "Yeah, tha's what I said. Hey, can I call ya Tom?" Maybe she shouldn't be babbling to her neighbor during a dramatic reading, but being quiet was also not her strong suite.

  • [justify]"He's Mrs. Dursley's nephew and a wizard. Now please, Riverpaw, pay attention," Ephie explained with a slightly scolding tone, a small frown etching into her features. She returned to her reading, dipping into chapter two at this point.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 240px;] Walking over, Reid sighed. Harry Potter. They weren't the best books he'd read. "Um, excuse me," he interrupted. "I'm no expert -- oh wait, that's a lie -- but Harry Potter is set in England, not Scotland." In his opinion, the younger one was quite an airhead.

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-family:arial;]"Yeah but the Wizarding school he goes to is in Scotland which is technically a part of the United Kingdom along with Great Britain." How did she know that? She wasn't sure. All she knew was that this information was falling from her lips and she just really wanted to hear the rest of the story right now.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; margin-top: -8px]A frown painted her features. "What Lucina said. And you're an expert on fucking Harry Potter? You need to do something better with your time," the servaline snapped, irritated at this point. Still glaring angrily, she returned to her reading, a lot more aggressively this time.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 240px;] Irritation began to rise in his chest, but on the outside he remained the same. Despite having an eidetic memory, he never had paid attention much to Harry Potter. It really didn't interest him. "I never specified which part of the story was set in England. Plus, I also never said I was an expert on Harry Potter. I am an expert in english, though, seeing as I have a Ph.D on the subject." He wasn't going to go on about how he could recite every word in the dictionary, he didn't want to sound even more rude than he was already sounding.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; margin-top: -8px]She literally threw the book in his direction. Ephemeralpaw was incredibly upset at this point, a frown etched deep into her features. "How 'bout you read the damn book then!" she practically screamed, storming away from the group.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 240px;] Reid winced as a book was thrown his way, the hardcover book hitting him on the forehead and falling to the ground. He yelped, putting a paw to the spot where the corner hit him. He looked at his pawpad, seeing traces of blood. Holding his forehead, he let out a few deep breaths. "That bitch," he muttered. He was lucky she didn't knock him out. Getting up, he walked off, staggering as he held a paw to his forehead.
