  • "...Those yokai barely pose a challenge anymore Takemi... It's rather boring." Kaede lazily spoke such words as he gazed boredly at the nearby wall of the onsen they had taken to as soon as their little terrorizing of lesser yokai had come to an end.. normally Kaede would never be bored like he was, in fact he would still be quite riled up from the violence however now... he didn't enjoy it anymore. His ears twitched slightly as he glanced over to the kitsune female next to him, the adoration in her eyes being quite laughable to Kaede as he looked away in dismissal as the yokai peppered kisses upon his hand, seeking no doubt attention from the powerful male before him... yet he wasn't interested.

Takemi on the other had was chuckling as he started guzzling down sake bottles left and right, yokai women clinging to him as he exclaimed, "I'm sure the Sea Dragon would be a lot tougher than those small fry!" Kaede tilted his head slightly to one side as his bored golden gaze focused in the sight of the oni's boisterous behavior as the kitsune woman had sat upon Kaede's lap, slender fingers turning his head towards her as she smiled, "Kaede-dono, you seem quite bored. Please, let me entertain you." The fox woman however turned her gaze to the scar that was visible at the top of his kimono where it didn't seem to completely cover the injury, "..Ah.. such a terrible wound.." She placed a hand to the wound, though Kaede barely reacted not wanting to think about the village of humans as he muttered with distaste to the fox woman upon his lap, "You smell of another man, Miro. The least you could do is try and clean yourself beforehand." ...Fool. The woman's face colored as she bowed her head, "O-Of course, my apologies." Kaede scowled slightly at the quick compliance to his complaint. ...She's not like Akira.. Even if the human didn't say anything, or refrained from it at least he would see some anger or anything... He closed his eyes as his ears flicked back. Why did that human woman yet again invade his thoughts? I need to dispose of her..

"Kaede, not enjoying yourself?" He could hear the faint edge in Takemi's tone, despite how lighthearted it was it was clear that he felt a bit on edge for the blatant disinterest Kaede was displaying when he normally would indulge himself. Kaede's gaze turned to Takemi and gave a faint smile, "Just thinking." His gaze turned back to the fox woman upon his lap in which she still seemed rather off-put by his attitude. Miro after all, was the only woman he would bother to allow approach him or bother to please him... but now he was finding her insufficient. Everything was insufficient now, except for that human. His eyes narrowed as he scowled, grabbing Miro and pulling her close as a gasp of surprise escaped her before her lips met his. ...Its not the same.. The frustration growing inside of him was building, despite the look of being pleased was on Miro's face as her eyes closed... Kaede wasn't finding enjoyment in this anymore. There was no pleasure, or surprise.. just an emptiness as his kiss became viciously passionate to possibly cause any sort of emotion or enjoyment to spark in him... but there was none.

Moving his head away as the woman's face was flushed a deep red as she looked up at him in surprise, her bottom lip bleeding slightly though the pleasure in her gaze was undeniable... there was no satisfaction. Kaede's eyes narrowed as he said coldly, "Get off of me." Miro blinked in confusion though seeing the cold edge to his eyes made her quickly get off of his lap as he then stood up and crossed the room as Takemi said in bewilderment, "Where are you going?" Kaede's expression didn't ease as he opened the shōji, "Outside. I need to cool off for a bit." With that, the fox walked out of the room and closed the shōji behind him as he walked forward until he was outside the building, his gaze turning upwards towards the darkening sky. ..Why does my heart ache...?

  • Akira groaned in frustration into the pillow.*I have no self preservation instincts!if I did,I would've ran,I wouldn't have stayed with this crazy fox man!*She thought, berating herself.she sighed, putting the pillow down with a strange expression.*Why do I feel so empty when he's gone?*She thought in slight dismay."maybe I just need some fresh air...or something to do..."she muttered, stretching before getting up.
She decided to walk around the building, not really comfortable walking outside yet.She didn't know anyone here and the fact that the villagers hadn't recieved her in the best of ways made her cautious. She wondered what Eshime was up to at this time.her big blue eyes looked around as she explored.

  • Eshima's gaze listlessly scanned over the villagers milling about, mostly putting an end to the day with their final duties. The sight always managed to cause her to smile, temporarily forgetting her troubles for the time being as her arms crossed over her stomach, green gaze seeming distantly lost in thought as she muttered under her breath, "If only you were here Tojo.." She closed her eyes as a soft sigh escaped her, however she could hear footsteps though detecting the aura being Akira's, she had relaxed as she said, "You seem to be troubled Akira, is something wrong? Is it... the fox?" She added the last question in a quieter tone, considering that Akira had eavesdropped upon Kaede's conversation with Takemi earlier, she couldn't help but feel a bit of worry at the situation.

  • Akira shook her head"no,nothing's wrong, the only thing bothering me is my own thoughts."she said quietly."I came out to clear my thoughts."she said, smiling slightly. She seemed a little less bothered, actually talking to someone...well someone other than Kaede.

  • Eshima smiled slightly at her response, "I see." She gazed upon the villagers for a few moments, "...Akira, do you... miss your home?" An expression akin to almost a slight saddened look had almost came to the young woman's eyes though she shook her head as he said quickly, "Ah, never mind. Don't bother answering that question... I just was thinking out loud."

  • Akira closed her eyes and gave her a small smile."It's ok,It doesn't bother me."she said, opening her eyes again."In a way I do,I miss the normalcy...but,to be honest I don't have much left to call home."she told Eshima"All of the people who made home feel like home are gone."she said.she seemed calm,But inside she still felt the void they left in her heart. She watched the villagers and it reminded her a little of the bustling of her own time,it calmed her.

  • Eshima's expression softened slightly at her words, though she didn't say anything quite yet in response as she turned her attention back to the villagers before saying in a gentle tone, "I understand quite well what you mean." She was silent for a few more moments, though not saying anymore on the subject itself, "Now that I think about it, it's nearly the time for the harvests to begin. I was wondering why everyone was still out and about." A light chuckle escaped her as she said in amusement, "Things seem to really slip my mind more often."

  • Akira smiled, watching them. She chuckled a little at Eshima's last comment."I think any woman about to have a child has that happen."she said"My aunt always told me these funny stories from when my mother was carrying my sister and I."She told Eshima,a bright and fond light coming into her eyes as she did, remembering some very funny ones.

  • Her happy expression fell as she remembered there wouldn't be anymore funny stories with her sister or mom.She let out a sigh, shaking it off.Akira began watching the sky,It was beautiful, actually watching the sun set without A bunch of buildings in the way.

  • Eshima smiled slightly at her words though as she watched the skies, she paused as she could feel the faint and small presence as of a very small demonic energy. A heavy sigh had escaped her, though knowing fully well that it wasn't much of a threat and certainly nothing compared to Kaede's and Takemi's it was still enough however for her expression to grow cold as she stepped forward, stepping out from the house itself and upon the grass below as she made her way to the location in which she could sense a faint fear coming off from whomever it belonged to, moving aside a bush within the yard itself as she glared down at the small fox that was shivering in fear, though judging by the size it was still relatively young so Eshima slightly relaxed though it was still enough for her to take irritation at herself that she failed to notice it sooner. "...What are you doing here yokai?" The small fox seemed to nearly jump out of its skin, shrewd eyes wide in horror and tail bushed out in fear, "…I... I'm lost.. please.. I mean no harm.. I just want to find my mommy..." Tears seemed to swell up in the young fox's eyes as it cowered before Eshima in which the woman didn't say a word, only looking over her shoulder towards Akira and said apologetically, "It seems we have a lost fox here." Though as much Eshima wanted to exterminate it then and there, she didn't.

  • Akira was broken from her thoughts as she saw Eshima leave her spot and walk to some bushes. She hadn't sensed anything at first because she was so used to Kaede and how strong his energy was.She could tell it had to be a Yokai just from the expression on her face,But she was surprised it was a young Fox.she frowned,Her blue eyes concerned. On one side she wanted to scoop him up and help him,but another side of her,a slightly more rational side reminded her that Yokais were tricky and would do anything to get out of trouble.Akira was surprised however as Eshima didn't try to exterminate him on sight."He's only a young one."she said quietly,She felt sympathy for the terrified young fox.

  • Eshima frowned as she glared down at the fox who seemed to be further terrified at the intense distrust coming off from Eshima as she said in distaste, "Young ones grow up into adults, and I don't want another unruly fox running about." Clearly by the edge in her tone she was speaking of none other than Kaede however she sighed as she looked at the fear upon the fox's face, "...Then again, this one is still very young and if anything if he had any experience he would have avoided a village like this..." After mulling it over she looked over to Akira, "If you want to assist him then do so."

  • She got up"Young ones can also be taught so they don't become unruly."she pointed out, walking over. Her heart gave a little squeeze, seeing the fear in his eyes."trust me,I'd rather not have two unruly foxes running around either."she said with a huff,Kaede was such a pain sometimes. She turned her attention to the cowering one infront of them."It's ok,we're not going to hurt you."she said*unless you hurt us first,so please don't do anything rash.*she thought."Now,what is wrong?"
((I can see like she takes in the small fox and Kaede comes back and acts as what can only be described as old cat new kitten syndrome.xD))

    ((Am I making you bored?))

  • OOC: No, not at all! A lot of personal things have been getting in the way that I haven't been able to respond as much as I would have liked to >.< So I'm sorry for being so inactive as I had been recently

The tiny fox's ears flattened as he gazed up at her warily, clearly uncertain whether he should even put any sort of faith in her; however seeing as she didn't seem too threatening at least at the moment he had calmed down slightly as he said hesitantly, "..My... my mom... I'm trying to find her... I-I just got lost and I don't know where I am..." A wary glance was then cast over towards Eshima who had only raised an eyebrow however had turned away and walked back within the house itself, not bothering to stay around any longer which admittedly had eased the fox's nerves however it wasn't enough to put him at ease completely, as there still seemed to be tears spilling forth from the fox's eyes as a mixture of fear and nervousness, causing dark streaks through the young fox's fur.

  • ((oh,that's ok!:) i was just worried because other people have told me i can be a bit boring at times.))

Akira looked sympathetically at the small fox."well,I want to help you.. when was the last time you saw her?"She asked him.she felt sympathetic for the small fox, knowing how it felt not to know where their parents were. She felt a little irritated at Eshima for just walking off...she knew the woman didn't like yokai, but she also left the girl who doesn't know how to control her powers with one.

  • OOC: Really? You're not boring at all. I'm sorry that I made you think I lost interest in the thread >.<

The fox seemed shocked by the sympathy he was receiving from her, which spilled over to more tears streaming down the fox's face as he snifled, his form changing as it was revealed to be just a child, appearing around just five with tears still relentlessly streaming down his face, his reddish hair though short was ruffled and messy, and his fox ears and tail were of the same color. Yellow eyes gazed up at her pitifully as he responded, "I-In the forest not so far.. she was n-near a river- eek!" Immediately the young fox clung to Akira tightly as if suddenly fearful of something behind her, and of course it was none other than Kaede.

Kaede's gaze though rather blank as well as his facial expression was in fact very much irritated that the small fox was clinging unto Akira. …Pathetic. His golden eyes turned towards Akira briefly before looking back towards the now yet again fearful fox child clearly being intimidated by Kaede's presence, "Who's the brat?" There was no edge to his tone however, but the sentence used in such a casual way would only hint that he was irritated by the meer presence of the young fox.

  • ((It's alright :) and thank you.))
Akira looked down at the small child clinging to her leg with a little surprise.she then heard Kaede.*Greeeeeat...*she thought sarcastically.she looked back at Kaede."We found him hiding out here."she explained*Ill destroy him if he hurts this precious cinnamon bun.*she thought."He was looking for his mother and got lost."she added simply. There was no warning in her voice

  • OOC: You're welcome :3

"I see." Kaede's gaze turned upon the small fox child as his eyes narrowed ever so slightly, "..." He remained silent for a few more moments before saying simply, "I'll come with you to look." Clearly he seemed like he wasn't going to take a simple 'no' as an answer and though he was acting quite calm at the moment he was seething with annoyance and how the fox was shamelessly clinging to Akira's leg. …No one should be touching her except for me.. He looked away from them however as he started walking, "C'mon, we shouldn't be wasting much time here."

The small fox's ears flattened as he held fearfully tighter to Akira, whimpering, "S-scary..." Clearly it seemed he was more than just fearful of Kaede's presence, feeling the hostility that Kaede was hiding but it was evident that the adult male didn't appreciate the young fox's presence.

  • ((So Today I watched a movie that was awesome that I never knew existed until last year,Spirited away.It was AMAZING.:)))
She caught the narrowing of Kaede's eyes.*Why is he upset now?!*she thought in slight annoyance. She outwardly didn't display her annoyance, but she saw and felt how scared the little one was,it Madame her unexplainably agitated. She held out her hand to the small fox Yokai and smiled."Come on,let's go find your mother."she said, taking his hand so she could walk. She followed Kaede's lead.

  • OOC: I've heard of it but I never watched it before, I probably will soon though when I get the time to. I've heard a lot of good things about it :3

The little fox held tightly unto her hand though sticking practically glued to Akira, keeping himself as far as possible from Kaede though the fox didn't bother to look over towards the younger one, his tail was lashing with irritation as he continued walking though saying over his shoulder to the young fox, "Hey brat, what's your name anyways?" The young fox flinched before saying shakiky, "Y-Yuko.." Kaede glanced over his shoulder briefly towards the fox who now was sufficiently hiding behind Akira though he let out a huff of faint annoyance as he turned his head away and continued walking, "Alright Yuko, from what I overheard your mother was looking for you by the river right?" Yuko nodded his head though realizing Kaede couldn't see the confirmation he then spoke up, "Y-yes.." Kaede sighed as he thought for a few seconds, "Hmm.. then I suppose that means there's only the river that goes through the forest or the river closeby the village..."
