  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 10.5px;]Aru honestly didn't think he was going to be staying around BloodClan for too long so long as his resentment towards the clan lingered but he needed to stay for ... reasons he could not (and most likely would not) elaborate on. Everyone had some sort of objective they want to reach by joining a clan rather it be to rid themselves free of stress, become known, or something else like to cure the ever common emotion of loneliness and sometimes they expressed this, directly or indirectly, if he was correct judging from close analyzing of people's mannerisms and character and, of course, asking questions. However, he had been doing a lot less of the latter as of late. He's been too tired, too irritable, too stressed to care about his detective work. He needed to work under a calm mind in order to progress successfully. But, then again, he found calming himself to be almost impossible unless he was focusing on working.

Which was why he was currently in the progress of growing sage.

Somewhere outside of the camp, the albino kitsune was planting sage in the ground. He had found a nice amount of the stuff on his travels and needed to grow more so that he'd have a steady supply. Aru patted the dirt around the sage he had planted and sighed. So far he had three rows of the stuff. That should be enough, right?

Aru blinked his rosy red luminaries as he sat down, suddenly coming to the rapid conclusion that ... he now had nothing to do. He filled out his Sudoku book, played chess with a few NPCs (and won all four games), and made himself some herbal tea. He was left with nothing else to do, really. He was quite new here and there were people whom he didn't know. It didn't take the kitsune long to come to yet another conclusion, though he really didn't want to do it. Yet, he was bored with nothing else to do so something to do was better than dying of boredom, was it not? Since he wasn't far from the entrance, he turned and called for his clanmates to gather.

"Oi, everyone. Meet and greet over here."

He continued on, nodding at bit. Taking note of what the kitsune had been doing, the devil tilted his head at the sage. "What are those, may I ask?"

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 10.5px;]Aru lifted his gaze towards the first person who arrived, someone who he had met only recently at the border. Usually, he would not forget names but this one managed to slip past him. It was to be expected. After all, he was hard at work training in exorcism and tracking his tormentor. The albino kitsune fluttered his ears and dipped his head, mostly out of habit since that was what he often did to exhibit politeness. "It's nice to meet you Horizon. I'm Aru Akise." The introduction was simple and sweet, no other common pleasantries added just to be nice. He offered the slightest smile in Horizon's direction when he asked what sage was. "This is sage," he gestured towards the plant with a dainty paw, "Not only does it smell good, it cleanses your home. It basically frees you of whatever "bad energy" resides in your home. Keeps the evil spirits and demonic creatures at bay." He explained.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt;]Duskmire did not have a very wide knowledge of herbs and their uses; he knew only what he had been taught in herb training sessions and what he had read in books. Aru's definition of the use of sage was something of interest to him, that said. Dusk believed in the supernatural, of course - how could he not, he could create fire with his own paws and he had come back from the dead - but the power of a plant to ward off evil was something he was skeptical of. The red tabby sat beside Horizon, casting him a sideways glance of mutual curiosity. Looking back to Aru, Dusk managed a friendly smile. "I'm Duskmire, but most people just call me Dusk. Nice to meet you. Ah... what do you need that sage for? Do you deal with a lot of... uh, evil spirits?" Duskmire never would have thought he would think this, but he almost wished he was still a vampire right now. He was curious what effect this so called demon-repellant plant would have had on him when his spirit was still dark and clouded.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 10.5px;]Aru wasn't entirely well-versed in the knowledge of the supernatural and would love to learn more about them (and had gained quite the experience staying in PhantomClan's haunted asylum) but he couldn't find anyone who knew the more... complicated stuff. There had been one PhantomClanner that had offered to train him but nothing much has happened since then, unfortunately enough. Anyway, Aru shifted his attention from Horizon to Duskmire when he approached and settled next to the other BloodClanner who had approached first. Duskmire. Aru had once tried to go with a more traditional name but it hasn't worked out very well for him. "Yeah, likewise Duskmire." He said, dipping his head towards the male before going on to answer his question which he regarded with a more genuine smile. "Yes. In my career of choice, I'm forced to deal with a lot of evil spirits, demons, and whatnot. I'm an exorcist." In training, he added subconsciously with a single lash of his twin tails. "Well, when I find where I'm going to be staying I'll use the sage to cleanse my home of choice. There's not much more you can do with sage other than for cleansing and for medical purposes, I believe. You usually burn sage, it's the most effective and ancient way of purifying an area... or person."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt;]Dusk's ears perked slightly, his interest piqued. An exorcist. "An exorcist...? You mean like, curing possessions and banishing ghosts and all that?" the red tabby inquired, blue eyes wide. Perhaps as a young boy, he would have laughed at the idea and mocked this fellow, but he had seen too much in his life now to doubt that the supernatural was capable of terrifying things. The existence of real life exorcists was something that was given, naturally. "I was infected with vampirism in a previous body," Dusk shared cautiously, watching Aru carefully since he had no idea what his reaction to that would be. "Could you cure that sort of thing? I'm clean of it now - that body died, but... is that in your skill set?" His tone was heavy with curiosity, it was clear this was a very interesting topic to him. He didn't know what he would do if the answer was yes - perhaps he was too far away from that incident now to feel much regret over what he could have done to save his birth body and life, but still...

[fancypost bgcolor=#77aa77; bordercolor=#bdbdbd; borderwidth=1px; width: 315px; height: auto; padding: 10px;][justify]Little did everyone know that Saltpaw himself was actually an exorcist... kind of. The only thing he knew how to do was get rid of things with, well, salt. He wasn't very confident in his exoricsm skills, but then again, he wasn't a very confident guy. He felt as if nobody would care to know how he felt, so he just proceeded to introduce himself. "I'm Saltpaw, but you already know me," He stated quietly, casually interrupting the conversation. The male looked up at the others with his blue eyes, and smiled. "Nope, being an exorcist is easy if you have salt," Sal answered, even though the question wasn't directed towards him. He was half-joking, and half serious, but hopefully they could all tell that from his tone of voice and his expression.

Saltpaw felt a little wary around these full Bloodclanners, since they were just so different from Blizzardclanners. He was friends with almost nobody here, and he was just a little lonely. It was a tight-knit group of people with their own unique ways of living, and he respected that. He was just afraid of being judged or hated, that was all. "I'm... Kind of an exorcist too," The feline muttered quietly to himself, though his rituals were kind of half-assed.

[shadow=#c25568,left]♔[/shadow] Demons and evil spirits? Well, she apparently didn't count, since she could skip in casually. Did she count as evil? Or Tectus? It was hard to say, but she doubted that they'd be repelled by a smelly plant. She wasn't the superstitious type, although she did believe in gods and demons and angels. She just didn't follow any religious principles. She'd met Aru previously, but now she was getting lots of information on him. He was an exorcist? Well, she didn't really mind. But it seemed interesting that one would actually devote their lives to such a thing. It seemed like it'd be boring to do. Useful, but still boring. Apparently, Saltpaw was one too. So was a fad of some sort? She didn't know, but she didn't trust this sort of thing. The supernatural and paranormal were things that she didn't fully understand, even though she herself was a saint who'd been appointed by a goddess. "Exorcism? Wow, you're an exorcist? So, can you exorcise demons in salt water? I wanna see if that works! Is there such thing as salty holy water?" her questions were slightly odd, but she was just being creative. She could learn things from this, and she didn't even have to remember them. Tectus had plenty of time to take notes in there. "Oh, and in case ya missed me earlier, I'm Lunae! You can call me Lulu now, since I got a fourth surname! Wanna guess what it is?" she was practically jumping around him now. She found it hilarious that she'd taken on the surname.

[justify]Ah yes, meet and greets. Those were always fun. Adelaide padded over shortly after Lunae, taking a seat somewhere nearby. "Hi! My name's Adelaide Harbringer-Darling, but Addy works just fine. Nice to meet you."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 10.5px;]"Yes, we do all of that." He confirmed with a single nod of his head to answer Duskmire's question. It was quite obvious to Aru by now that Dusk was rather interested in what he did for a living. It was always nice to see someone would be curious as to how someone can cure possessions and send demons back to where they belonged, and even more so that no one was giving him shit about it. After all, not everyone believed ghosts and demons existed. However, as Duskmire shared what Aru would have otherwise presumed to be a rather large secret, the kitsune leaned forward with curiosity sparking within his rosy gaze. Vampirism? He personally never had to deal with vampires before but he has had a fair share of encounters with ghouls. They were similar in many ways, actually. His elongated ears swiveled forward, and Dusk had his undivided attention and he gave a soft hum when the question was asked. Curing vampirism? "I don't believe curing that sort of infliction would be a part of my skill set. Gomen'nasai." He had said finally, dipping his head towards the red tabby.

And then Horizon piped up again and he turned his gaze back onto the other once he questioned if it was hard, and had been about to answer when Saltpaw spoke before him, introducing himself as well and ultimately answering the question that had been directed towards him. "Being an exorcist is not the easiest job in the world." He quickly said, his tails giving another lash as he fixed his gaze on Saltpaw. "Salt does not make an exorcist's job 100% more easier. It takes a lot more than that." He turned back towards Horizon. "You need to be trained well in mind and in body, being an exorcist can be immensely stressful especially when you don't take it seriously enough. Otherwise, the first exorcism you do may end up killing the one you're trying to free of possession."

Aru then realized he may have gotten slightly agitated with Saltpaw's response to the question from earlier and rolled his shoulders back before glancing towards their ambassador. "Anyway ... it's nice that another exorcist is here. Perhaps we could train together on a later date." He would say, briskly dipping his head towards the male before shifting his gaze to- oh god. Aru supposed he was lucky he was good at hiding his irritation. The male, however raised an fictive eyebrow to the rather odd questions Lunae was asking. "I've ... never tried that before. I suppose whenever I find a demon, I'll try just that Lunae." He said. Exorcising a demon with salty holy water? Who would have guessed that might actually be a thing? "Yes, yes, I remember you Lunae. I don't forget names all that easily." And she adopted a fourth surname? Why would Lunae think he could name what family she could have joined out of the countless others that he was sure that were out there? Oh, well, Aru did like guessing games even if they held no logic. "Vennum? Wulfgang? Soler? Nani?" Aru twitched his ears as the bubbly girl jumped all around him, gaze narrowing just slightly. After his answer, he shifted his gaze towards Adelaide. "Addy... I'll remember that. It's nice to meet you as well, Addy."
