They named her Tiny and then ignored her. From the time of her birth, young Tiny was used to being the third best, or, more likely, non existent. This is why she was so surprised when a tom took a liking to her. His name was Brave, and he was the eldest son of the group's leader, Hawk. He was like the popular jock, and she was like the quiet shy nerd, but they bonded almost at once. When Hawk died, Brave, as the eldest son, took charge of the group, placing Cinder as his mate. For a while, she was happy. Sadly, another cat was not. Shine was a pretty silver she-cat, Brave's first crush. She was jealous of Cinder, and decided to do something about her. Cinder was expecting, and so Shine realized that if she chased Cinder out, told Brave that she had been killed by a fox and that the fox had taken her body, Brave, believing his mate to be dead, would mourn, then choose a new mate. And that new mate would obviously be Shine. It worked. Well, most of it. Shine cast Cinder out, threatening to kill her, should she return. When Brave learned of his mate's 'death', he was so heart-broken, that he never chose a new mate. Instead, he chose a deputy to succeed him, making the group a Clan.
