***warning, gore // song i wrote to

it was rough being a lone wolf. it was also common knowledge and instinct to hunt those of the weaker physique; the easier catch. however, when one is stuck in a battered down city, roaming the back streets filled with filth and famine, you find food in minuscule portions or none at all.

am i the only one i know?

a haggard shape could be seen leaning against a sooty wall, all scenery around dark as he was, save the extensive and complicated patterns across his back. the coat on his back was greatly desired by the man of the white room, who saved the owner of that coat for last and forced to watched the suffering of his littermates. nights he was haunted with nightmares, riddled with heavy sweat, and emptied of his own screams. that very coat no longer had it's old shine and beauty- that was long gone. especially his fondness of it.

waging my wars behind my face and above my throat

"you're in my territory, rat. move it before i rip your windpipe open." golden eyes filled with a volatile glitter raised to meet the large mastiff that was in front of him. eyes that were like a fire that was going out but still had desperate flames licking at the air in the ashes, flames that were burning with a red hot fury. the stray in front of him stumbled back slightly, a growl picking up as his lips were raised in a hostile manner at the now dangerous eyes. eyes that had seen all they needed to see.

shadows will scream that i'm alone.....

"you want to fight, sh-thead?" an elated mutter came from the dark wolf, raising his head now to meet the other head on. he didn't look like a wolf at the moment, just a broken and ragged mutt deserted and left for dead, but he still had the pride of one. no way he was going to let a f-cking stray tell him where he couldn't be.

    i-i-i, i've got a migraine

another deep growl was emitted from the mastiff, slobber flinging out of his drooping lips as he shook his head to rid it of the buzzing flies. and that's when he launched forward, massive jaws apart as he was aiming to go straight for a fatal bite to the throat. the wolf simply sidestepped him, lunging forward in a swift movement as he drove his teeth into the other canine's leather like fur. he twisted to the side as a sudden paw swung out in an attempt to throw him off balance, a roar-like howl escaping the parted mouth of his attacker. the unkempt wolf did not have much muscle on him, unlike this dog, or much of anything on him and was torn away from his hold and sent skidding away.

and my pain will range from up, down, and sideways

"not bad for a sh-tty mutt like you, but you'll have to do better." despite what the large dog was saying, crimson was streaming from the side of his neck, a sizeable wound on the side of his neck. "your're free to act all tough but should you do so, don't go run away crying like a little b-tch." the dark coated wolf surged forward before he could hear a response, snapping at the other canine's muzzle, bringing a fast paw to rip across the soft tissue of his enemy's face. in turn, he received a bite to his shoulder, followed by a shock filled and powerful blow to the side of his head.

thank god it's friday, 'cause fridays will always

stumbling away, he released a nasty snarl and dropped to the ground, realizing he would need to do something drastic if he even wanted to make a dent in this stray's flesh. a warm liquid was welling at his forehead and was traveling down the side of his face to impair his vision. now his right eye was of no use at the moment. he was also already feeling a bit dizzy- he would need to end this fight quickly.

be better than sundays 'cause sundays are my suicide days

    ***gore starts
springing forward, he reached out with a determined paw, objective clear in his mind. he would mess up this b-stard's vision as well. it was only a millisecond later he realized he wouldn't reach his objective. it was another millisecond later that he dislocated his shoulder and plunged his paw into the mastiff's tender and completely vulnerable eye.

i don't know why they always seem so dismal

he harshly wrenched it out, along with the canine's eyeball, sickening and guttural screams seized his opponent the moment contact was made with the back of the eyeball socket. gore splattered the other male's appalling features and the wolf's guilty paw, nothing quiet as the previously hostile stray went sprinting away howling with the most harsh and amplified shrieks of the night.

thunderstorms, clouds, snow and a slight drizzle

minutes later, a gory eyeball still between his claws, he found and settled himself down inside a recently cleared out cardboard box. the screams must have scared them off.. he dropped to the much welcomed floor of his new abode, about to drop his head and shut his eyes before he heard someone speak.
    ***gore ends

    whether it's the weather,

"i hope you don't mind me asking, but i'd like to know you're name."

or the letters beside my bed

his name. he hadn't thought or even said it in what seemed such a long while. but, without even a thought to wonder who this stranger he could only see the snowy feet of, he replied without hesitation.

sometimes death seems better than the migraine in my head.

    "sarcophagus nil."

"i believe you are a wolf, are you not?"

he paused for a moment before answering,"i am."

    "then come with me, please."

"why the f-ck should i do that?"

"because i believe if you do, you will find a home and comrades that you belong with."

this stranger, despite their voice sounding almost completely emotionless, the offer was drawing him strongly. a home and comrades was something he had longed for ever since he lost all his siblings and left that disgusting place. now, it was all being presented to him, practically with a f-cking bow and ribbon on top of it.

    "okay. fine."

sarcy got up, struggling a bit with the headache that was coming on, and came out from his newly found shelter to get a good look at the stranger. it was a surprise, especially since it was a female, then again he couldn't had been able to tell since she kept her voice so even between a feminine tone and a masculine one.

besides that, she was a pure white, her very self standing out against the ashen alleyway and surrounding dark. she had clear blue eyes, which made her look more angelic than she already did. she would be considered a breathtaking sight to most, most definitely beautiful. however, sarcy couldn't see her beauty, only simply glancing at her for a moment before looking towards the exit of the alleyway.

    "where are we going?"

the white canine beside him only sightly smiled,"it's a bit complicated." she reached a paw towards him. yet not touching him,"may i?"

he nodded, curious to see what would happen. however, the moment she touched him, both of their shadows went with them, leaving that filthy place. they had disappeared into thin air, from the point of view of the dogs watching.
