    "Mhm," Charlie replies.
    She removes the carry-out box from the pie and sets it on the counter, looking with a raised eyebrow around the kitchen.
    "Ya'll know where they keep the knives?" she asks.




    Viktor is sitting on one of the workbenches in the lab, helping Tails build the anchor, when he catches the scent of something he hasn't smelt before. It's fruity and smells incredibly edible.
    "Tails, do you smell that?" he asks. "I think our friends have returned."

    • IC: Tails was busy carefully constructing a small object then grabbed a torch beside him and put on his goggles, melting two pieces together before lifting his goggles and getting a closer look. He was so deep in thought with his work that he barely even heard Viktor "oh..yeah I heard...them come in.." He said slowly since most of his focus was on what he was making.


    "Uh..I think right here?" Clash went beside the sink and opened the drawer, but ended up opening every drawer but to no avail couldn't find the knives.

    "Vell, I do not know about you, but I vant vhatever they have down there," Viktor remarks.
    He jumps down from the workbench, gently placing the tools he was holding back on the bench. He steps over to Tails' side and bends down to give him a little kiss on the forehead.
    "Keep up good work," he praises. "I vill bring you something."




    "Wow, aren't you a great help," Charlie remarks as Clash unsuccessfully searches every drawer. "Maybe we should wait for the people who live here t' help us out."

    "Hey who needs knives? We could just eat it like this!" Clash took the fruit pie and was about to take a big bite from it.

    "Hey, hey! Slow your roll sailor!" Charlie exclaims, slapping Clash's hand away from the pie. "Ya can't just take a chunk outta it! There are other folks who want some."
    She slides the pie closer to her side of the counter, giving Clash a glare, daring him to try again.




    It is at that moment that Viktor makes his way down the stairs and appears on the scene.
    "Vhat is gong on down here?" he questions, scanning the scene before him. "And who is that?"




    Charlie's cheeks flush red and she dips her head in embarrassment.
    "Terribly sorry sir, my name is Charlie," she replies. "Clash and his friends invited me over because I helped them get the best food in the market."




    Viktor narrows his eyes at Clash.
    "Vhy is she protecting pie from you?" he asks.

    • IC: Clash chuckled mischievously and his tail flickered back in forth but blinked as he heard Viktor and looked towards him. "It's to good to resist," he gave a light shrug "but we wanted some of the pie that Charlie here kept saying how good it was but we don't know where you put your knives to cut ourselves slices of it." He ran his fingers through his pink Mohawk then put his hands on his hips.

    Viktor laughs.
    "That is probably because Tails keeps utensils in veird place," he explains.
    He opens one of the cabinets above the sink to reveal a series of containers neatly lined up on the shelf, each full of a different utensil. He removes one of the knives from a cup sets it on the counter next to the pie.
    "He tells me it is more efficient, but I am still unsure as to vhy," he concludes.
    He sets out a few plates, one for each of them and an extra for Tails and starts cutting the pie.

    "He is very busy," he replies. "Vorking very hard on machine."
    He picks up two plates and makes his way back upstairs to give Tails a slice.

    • IC: Clash looked at the piece of pie and picked up the silverware to take a bite, grinning as he loved the wonderful taste "hah that is good!" He then ate the whole slice in one bite.


    Shadow arrived at the G.U.N headquarters and proceeded inside, passing by the other humans as he went to the meeting room. Some of the humans glanced his way as they tried to get a look at the dark hedgehog but he didn't pay any mind to them as he walked into the room and stood at the door way before stepping inside, glancing behind him as the door closed shut. Narrowing his eyes he looked ahead and surveyed the room which held one long table and several chairs on either side of it, since this was a meeting room it was for many people to gather in the same area and discuss problems or plans. But there was only one person sitting at the end of the table, Shadow didn't bother sitting in one of the seats and proceeded to speak.
    "This must be an important assignment if you arranged a private meeting for only you an I..why did you call me here?" He went right to the point as he didn't want to waste anymore time than he needed to.

    The man looked up from where he sat while looking at files in front of him, setting them aside to speak to Shadow. "We have recieved information about a discreet secret lab working under our noses...without our knowing it's been apart of the G.U.N for several years conducting experiments on...alien organisms...we want to send you in to destroy ever single evidence that could possibly affect our organization without any information touching the public about this, can we count on you to achieve this?"


    "Do you even need to ask?" Shadow muttered unfolding his arms and turning away towards the door, but looked over his shoulder to continue speaking "send information about where it's located and anything else I'll need to know.."

    He swallows before saying anything else.
    "This certainly is one of the best things I've had in a while," he continues. "Then again, I haven't had many good things in my life..."




    Rogue is sitting up in the rafters listening to the conversation between Shadow and the G.U.N briefer. She had been assigned to the same mission, but was unaware that she would be working with Shadow again. She stands up and flies down to the floor, landing silently behind Shadow.
    "Hey," she coos, tapping him on the shoulder. "I guess we're partners again."

    Shadow blinked and looked at Rouge as he heard her land behind him.


    "Also, Rouge will be accompanying you on this mission..." The man told them then went back to his files. "Head to the preperation room once you two are ready.."


    Shadow grunted his response and walked out of the room as the door opened in front of them.

    He places his plate in the sink and washes it off, then puts it back where he saw Viktor get it out. He then returns to the counter, places his elbows on the surface and clasping his hands together.
    "There's not much in the way of food where I come from, so pretty much everything I eat in this timeline is the best thing I've ever eaten," he concludes.




    Rogue gives the briefer an almost mocking salute before following Shadow out the door. The door closes automatically behind them, leaving them alone in the hallway.
    "Long time no see, Shadz," she remarks.

    "Aw, I would've hoped you missed me," she laments. "You've got a distinct lack of common courtesy you know?"
    She removes a jewel from her pocket and stares at it as they walk.




    Charlie looks up from her plate, which she had finished moments ago and forgotten to put away.
    "I actually come from 'round here," she replies. "Most people don't believe me, and honestly it's probably the accent. That's just a family thing. But yeah, I live in a tiny little house out in the the big meadow a few miles west of the market."

He went straight to his motorcycle that was stationed on the side and knelt beside it to check if everything was functioning.


    "Oh yeah?" Clash looked up and rubbed his chin in thought "I think I've been down there a few times, but anyways Silver here comes from the future and I come from the Dark Jungle."

    "The future, eh?" Charlie repeats, raising an eyebrow at Silver, who gives her a confirming nod.
    She stops speaking for a moment, giving herself time to process that. Silver frowns, unsure of whether or not that scares her or confuses her. He bites his lip, opens his mouth to say something, then apparently decides against it.
    "So, how do ya'll know each other?" Charlie asks, completely ignoring Silver's distress.




    Rogue frowns again, returning the jewel to her pocket/(actually mallet space because pockets aren't a thing the weird physics of sonic world). She shifts her weight to the right, sticking out her hip as she watches Shadow inspect the motercycle. She can fly, so she won't have much difficulty keeping up with him, but then she wonders.
    "Will you by any chance met me ride with you," she inquires.

    • IC: "If it's necessary.." Shadow blinked and pressed in his ear piece that was now giving him information about where this mission was going to take place and narrowed his eyes. He stood from where he knelt down and turned to Rouge, "In fact you're probably going to be the one using it the most to keep up with me.."


    "Well let's see..I think it was when I nearly got struck by lighting? Right?" Clash looked to Silver for confirmation as he tried to remember how he met the time traveling hedgehog.
