Tomoe moved over silently towards Gorou, speaking up only when he got close, "Gorou... I need to ask of you something very important." The man turned his head towards Tomoe though upon seeing the serious expression on his face had made his eyebrows furrow as he said, "Yeah? What is it?" Tomoe took in a breath then said quietly, "I need you to tell me if there's anyone suspicious around.. just for precautionary measures." Gorou frowned though he sighed as he nodded his head, "Very well. Though I don't know what you're up to now, please be safe." Tomoe nodded his head, a faint smile crossing his face, "Of course." With that he had turned away from the man, beginning to move up the stairs though a faint frown crossed his face. The feeling of apprehension never left him, which made him slightly on edge.
-
Skylar slept in the bed curled up with the blanket. She was deep asleep and hoped to stay that way. She had no dreams while she slept in the bed. She didn't plan on sleeping long so her mind didn't create a dream for her. Soft breaths left her lips as she slept. She didn't completely peaceful because of the odd feeling of something being wrong. Sky hoped that everything would be fine and she only felt that way because the day had went relatively good and she had doubts. She knew that the people they were running from were looking for them but didn't think they had found them already.
-
Tomoe made his way into the room, though pausing as he looked at Skylar. Seeing her sleeping so peacefully made a faint smile crossing his face, even so... he did need to stay alert. There was no time for him to simply let his guard down. So, as he closed the door behind him, he had sat down upon the floor near the door as he laid the sword he still had with him upon his lap, leaning his head back against the wall and merely listening. Though he did doze for a few times, he still kept himself alert enough to listen for any suspicious sounds.
-
Skylar slept a little longer before slowly waking up. She slowly turned her body in the bed and looked over at Tomoe with tired eyes. She smiled softly before seeing the sword and frowned. Her eyes moved back up to his quickly with confusion and worry. "What's wrong?" She asked quietly. She got up from the bed and stretched before moving over to him. Sky sat down with him and looked over his body to make sure that he didn't have any wounds. "Why do you have your sword out?" She then spoke again. She looked around the room to see if something bad happened in there while she slept. She looked at Tomoe once more still confused.
-
Tomoe's attention fully came into focus as soon as Skylar had approached in which he met her gaze, almost startled for a few seconds before he calmed and said, "I just had a bad feeling," His hands tightened upon the sheath of the sword in his hands as his eyes briefly seemed to go back to the cold expression, "...I've learned quickly not to ignore such a thing. If something is happening then I want to be as prepared as I possibly can."
-
Skylar frowned as he spoke but nodded her head. She reached out and touched his knee gently. "Why don't you rest. I will watch out and if anything happens I will wake you. You can rest for a little bit then i can wake you up and we can go." She spoke softly. "The next town isn't too far away. If we leave in maybe an hour and a half we can get there in the middle of the night if we don't stop for long." She added and stood from the ground. Sky moved to the bed and made it neater before turning back to Tomoe. She didn't say anything as she waited to see if he would allow himself some rest.
-
Tomoe smiled slightly at her, "...I'll be fine without a bit of rest Skylar. I've trained my body to remain alert for at least two days." He paused however as soon as the apprehension grew to a heightened point as it seemed his eyes grew cold as he immediately rushed forward, grabbing Skylar and immediately pushing her to the ground, holding her underneath him as his body seemed to be attempting to shield her from view, with one hand coming to her lips he whispered very quietly, "Shh." Obviously he seemed to have sensed something as his now cold eyes seemed to drift past her to the very floor itself, remaining ahsolutely tense and still as if he was listening for something.
-
Skylar sighed but nodded his head not wanting to fight with him. She turned away from him but gasped when she was grab. She stiffened under him seeing how cold his eyes were. Her heart raced as she stared up at him. "Tomoe-" she tried to speak in a shaky voice to him until he shushed her. She slowly nodded her hand and tried to stay silent. One hand moved up to hold his tightly while the other one rested against his chest feeling his heart. Sky closed her eyes and turned her head away from the door. She was terrified but tried to relax herself, her body was shaking and her breathing had picked up.
-
Tomoe's heartbeat was calm and steady as well as his breathing. There seemed to be no fear coming from him, only a steady calmness. His gaze had turned towards the door as he heard footsteps coming up the stairs, uneven and heavy. His jaw clenched as his body tensed up, coiling in anticipation at the approaching footsteps, however his brow furrowed as soon as the footsteps stopped in front of the door, slowly he rose off of Skylar and gave her a look as if warning her not to move as he slowly moved away as he took his sword and tightly held it as he slowly made his way over towards the door as he raised his sword slightly as if preparing to strike down anyone that could go through, however he froze as soon as he heard a faint whisper, "There you are, my dear Tomoe.." Tomoe quickly turned around, his eyes widening only to narrow at the woman now standing behind him. Though he was irritated that he'd not felt her presence go through the door... such a thing..
"What? No warm reception Tomoe? What a shame.. I'd thought you'd have better manners." The woman smiled coyly, "Though I'm guessing you're on guard because of the pitiful woman in this room. Her breathing is quite quick and fearful... Ah, but I nearly forgot our other old friends!" The door opened and a man walked in, his piercing gaze unnerving as she murmured, "I hope you remember Buyo?" Tomoe's cold gaze remained upon the woman in front of him though he said calmly, "How could I forget?"
-
Skylar let go of his hand and looked up at him when he started to get up. "Tomoe no." She whispered. She was too afraid to get up though so she watched him with fear. She stared up at the ceiling and waited patiently. She jumped when she heard a voice. Her eyes widened when she heard the woman speak of how she knew that she was there. Sky closed her eyes for a moment before slowly getting up. She looked over to Tomoe after looking at the woman and the man, Buyo, with fear. She didn't say anything, she didn't know who these people were and if they were who they had been running from or not. She tried to relax herself as best as she could to not look so fearful which was obvious to see.
-
The woman smirked slightly as she moved closer to Tomoe who kept a calm and cold expression, though he was thinking about how to get Skylar away from this situation. The woman cooed as she moved closer to Tomoe, raising her hand to the side of his face and caressing him, "You've disappointed me Tomoe, and after all I did for you too... turning on your comrades and killing them?" Tomoe remained quiet as she moved closer, her fingers trailing up the sides of his face and to his glasses as she took them off, staring into the cold depths, "I could've killed you sooner you know? But I didn't have enough heart to do it... after all you seen to enjoy your little pet now do you?" She turned her head towards Skylar, the woman's glistening blue eyes holding only a venomous expression in them, "But, of course I can give you another chance Tomoe.." She turned towards him yet again, a smile upon her lips, "If you come back to me... we won't have to worry about this little incident.." Her fingers trailed across his chest ever so slightly, "I'll supply you all the medicine you'd need.. and the only cost would be being mine again... I'm sure you remember what it was like, the pleasure I supplied you... Tomoe-" However the sword came up to the woman's neck, though Buyo seemed to be about to move forward, Tomoe spoke coldly, "If you move, I'll kill her. If you approach Skylar, I'll kill her. Either way," Tomoe's cold smile crossed his face, "I think it'll be quite difficult to negotiate with me in the current position you're in Ayami."
The woman's eyes were wide for a few moments, as if completely taken off guard, her heart pounding in her chest as she sucked in a breath, "..You've grown since the last time I saw you Tomoe... Buyo," She looked over towards the man, "Stand down." The man hesitated before he stepped back, although slowly and hesitantly.
-
Skylar stood their scared mostly for Tomoe. She didn't speak but simply listened. She hated the woman that was trying to take Tomoe back, she knew that she was bad news. She took a fearful step back from the look in her eyes that she gave her. She couldn't help but feel jealous, she knew that they had a history and that they were close from the way she was touching him. Pain ran through her at her words now realizing just how close they had been. Sky gasped when Tomoe pulled out his sword and placed it against her neck. Her eyes immediately went to the other man in the room with fear as he tried to move forward. She looked over to Tomoe when he spoke but glanced back at Buyo. She relaxed slightly when he was told to stand down by the woman Ayami. She looked back over to Tomoe but stood frozen in her spot.
-
Ayami's gaze met Tomoe's though amusement was in her expression, she did glance down nervously at the sword pointed at her neck which it was beginning to pierce the skin, a small trickle of blood coming forth, "So, what are you going to do to me Tomoe? Kill me? Torture me?" Tomoe's eyes narrowed, his hand tightening upon the sword in his grip in which he felt tempted to just slit the woman's neck right then and there... the temptation to do such an act was actually making him consider it however...
Tomoe looked over towards Skylar and he spotted the fear on her face which his jaw clenched as he turned his attention back towards Ayami, a cold smile playing across his face, "No. Neither of those things are good enough for you, Ayami.." He then spoke directly to Skylar, "Skylar, grab the supplies and bags and get out of here. And Buyo... don't you dare hurt her... I still have Ayami.. remember?" The man's eyes narrowed however he stepped out of the way of the entrance.
-
Skylar's heart was racing as she watched Tomoe. She ignored the woman who had the sword against her neck. She could see the look in Tomoe's eyes, she knew he wanted to kill her. She met his gaze for a moment and frowned. Her eyes then went wide at his words. She moved forward and shook her head. "No. No I will not leave you with them." She spoke. Sky grabbed the supplies but moved next to Tomoe and faced him. "There are two of them and one of you. They could kill you." She spoke with worry. She didn't want him to get hurt or him to go with them.
-
Tomoe's jaw clenched as he said through clenched teeth, "Skylar, just go. I can't protect you and hold them at bay if they do decide to attack." His eyes narrowed, "Besides... I've been in situations worse than these." Ayami laughed, "Oh? So Tomoe is protecting his little toy? That's cute.." Tomoe's lips twitched up in a cold smile, his gaze turning to Ayami, "It's best of you stay quiet. Or else when it comes time to deal with you I won't hold back." Ayami chuckled, though her eyes narrowed, "Trying to act like a man.. admirable, yet you're still just the inexperienced child that- grrk!" She sucked in a sharp breath as he pressed the sword tighter against her neck, "Careful Ayami, I'd rather not speak of my immature past." His cold eyes turned back to Skylar, "Go. Now."
-
Skylar frowned but nodded her head. She glared at Ayami with every word she spoke. She wished that Tomoe would kill her. She didn't want her to take him away from her in any way, though it would hurt more if he left with her. She looked back at Tomoe when he once again told her to go. "Fine. You find me soon." She spoke as a demand but her voice was shaky. She cupped his cheek and pressed her lips to his for a long moment. Sky pulled away and kept her eyes on me. "Promise." She spoke. She looked back at Ayami and glared then turned to Buyo and glared as well. She moved to the dot and opened it but stopped to look back at Tomoe with concern. "Be careful." She spoke as a beg before walking out. Sky couldn't help the tears that filled her eyes as she made her way down. She didn't know where to go for safety. She found Anzu and walked over with tears in her eyes. "Where is a safe place that Tomoe knows of so he can meet me there later?" She asked in an uneasy voice.
-
Tomoe went very much still as Skylar had kissed him, his attention being split between Ayami and Skylar herself, though this time he did not kiss her back his lips remaining unyielding against hers though her presence was reassuring to him, in all honesty he was taken off guard by the display of affection, yet the demand she had made caused him to pause for a few brief moments before nodding his gaze turning back towards Ayami who seemed to have gotten in quite the foul mood at the sight in front of her. As soon as Skylar left, Tomoe sighed though he murmured, "Finally.. now I can kill you and not feel guilty about it." Buyo had immediately rushed forward, however he quickly turned and grabbed the man by the throat with his free hand and before the man could begin to fight back, his neck was snapped in one swift, quick moment. As Tomoe dropped the body to the floor, Ayami smiled slowly, "Quite impressive.. your skills haven't dulled at all haven't they?" A cold smile crossed his face as he looked to her, "I've been preparing for a situation like this.. I never intended to stay under the Zashi for long, even you should've known this Ayami."
His eyes narrowed however as she brushed the sword aside from her neck as she stepped closer to Tomoe, pressing close to him, "Right, right... and I'm assuming you're quite the man now aren't you? I've been always watching your successful kills.. mmm, how long has it been Tomoe? You're what... twenty-six, twenty seven now? It's been fifteen or so years.." Her hands came up to the sided of Tomoe's face, "I'll even forgive you finding a pet behind my back..." She then kissed him, slowly and softly though a grunt of pain escaped her as blood boiled forward from her lips, her eyes wide in pained shock as Tomoe's free hand gripped her hair and yanked her head back as his tongue licked away the blood that had smeared across his lips, the sword he had swiftly impaled her through with, "As appealing as that sounds... I quite remember you torturing me so much that the pleasure blurred with the pain, I'm not too interested in being a plaything for you anymore... plus I'd much rather Skylar over someone so unreliable as you Ayami." Tomoe ripped the sword back and then angled it at her face, "Now... shall we begin?"
Anzu's face was pale, seemingly anxious as well as Gorou though the man was murmuring reassuring words to his wife. She looked up towards Skylar, though seeing the tears in her eyes she said in a frantic tone, "Yes, he's always been leaving lately to outside of the town it's near a large tree.. but what's going on? Are you alright?"
-
Skylar looked between Gorou and Anzu before focusing on Anzu's words. She nodded her head hearing about the large tree outside of town. She wiped a few years that fell and smiled weakly at Anzu. "Everything will be ok. I am fine, Tomoe... He will be meeting me there soon." She spoke. She cleared her throat from the knot forming there. "Thank you so much for letting us stay and for helping me. I really appreciate it. I hope this isn't the last time we meet, I have to go. Goodbye." She spoke quick but her words were true and meaningful. Sky waved goodbye and walked quickly out of the town. She focused on where she was going and kept her eyes alert. She finally found the location Anzu told her and was quick to make her way over. It was clear and no one was around so she moved behind it. She set down the pack and slid her body down the large tree so she was sitting on the ground. Tears automatically started rolling down her cheeks. She was worried that she would kill him or convince him to go with her. She did have medicine for him and he wouldn't pay a terrible fee for it. He could easily live with no problem. Sky started to worry that he would go with te woman. She held her knees to her chest while resting her chin on top of her knees, the tears kept rolling down her cheeks. Her face held a blank expression as she sat there and waited.
-
Anzu frowned at Skylar's response though she said hesitantly, "Goodbye, stay safe." However she looked worriedly towards the stairs as soon as Skylar left, a frown crossing her face as she thought worriedly, Tomoe... were those people after you..?
Tomoe sighed as he lowered the sword in his hand, the blood dripping down the sword's edge as he stared down at the now deceased woman upon the floor. He'd taken his time in killing her, making sure to draw out the pain as much as could as he quite enjoyed every single response she would give him. A small smile crossed his face as he turned away, murmuring, "That was quite refreshing Ayami.. " He forced his expression to calm as he cleaned the blood away from the sword in his hand, realizing he had taken up too much time in the room, he huffed as he quickly rushed off out of the room though asking briefly Anzu and Gorou where she had went and quickly continuing on his way when they had responded, rushing off into the direction Skylar had gone. Upon reaching the clearing with the large tree, he paused as soon as he saw her and slowly approached saying quietly, "Skylar, are you alright?"
