    Acies nudged her mate gently away from her belly, feeling as if she needed more space now that she had squirming booed inside her. "I praise them just as well as I do Nuru. I only praise him more (sometimes) to encourage him. Those girls are naturals, and do a fantastic job. They don't doubt it. But Nuru? He needs encouragement or else's he won't try at all," she woofed, annoyed that Vera took it as favoritism. The general stood, shaking her fur out as she rose. "And yes it would annoy me if someone did that to my pups; but those who aret the parents are bound to have favorites as they are drawn to different personalities, same as adults."
    The heavy, painful weight in her belly fulled her motherly instinct, turning her words more bitter then she intended them to be said. With a sigh, she looked around. "I'm going to train with someone. I need to work out this stress. Not good for the pups," she murmured softly, licking Novocains cheek as she padded away, contemplating on really training or just a walk.

    Nauru snarled hatefully as he turned, swinging Megumi off of him and unintentionally towards the edge of the cliff, pouncing onto his smaller built sister and pinning her down in an inescapable lock, one that took him months to even master slightly. He clamped her muzzle shut with his jaws and growled, eyes wild with fire. "The only reason Acies gives me credit for my training is because she, mom, and Dad all know you are both better than I am! A little praise never hurts! How many times has Mom taken you aside to talk and say you were both naturally born to be Alpha, Beta even? How many times do you think I've heard her talk with Dad about how you two are excelling above me? How...many times do you think I've been told that I'll be better next time while you are always called perfect?" He said, eyes tearing up slightly, stinging and red.



    Bentley huffed and nodded to his mother, smiling softly as he was affectionately nipped at before she left to find his siblings. "See you later mother." He called after her, sitting outside the den patiently waiting.

    Vera's ears shot forward at the cry of help from a pup and cursed under her breath rushing forward through the tree's and brush as she tried to reach them.
    There was a slight yip from Megumi as Nauru shook her off sending her rolling to the cliffs edge. "Ugh... nN-Nauru?" as she looked up the edge began to crumble, she scrambled her paws trying to grip the rock giving a loud scream. "HELP!"


    Amethyst snarled as Nauru pinned her eyes flashing at Megumi's cries. ears back she looked venomously at her brother giving a snarl. "Nauru get off you idiot!" Snarling she forced her chest up lifting them before slamming back down to lift her back hips and roll him over herself. With a snort she rushed forward her teeth gripping the nap of Megumi's neck and started to pull. As she pulled the ground under her paws started to crumble Making her panic. With her eyes closed she gripped Megumi's neck tight and threw her behind her to safe land looking back as the ground fell out from under her paws. She opened her eyes as the loud warning howl of her mother was heard watching as the angelic white fea soon went over the cliff after her. She flinched passing out, Vera grabbing her neck as they fell into the fast flowing river sweeping them down through the rapids. Vera fought the current as she tried to get her and Amethyst out of the water only to get slammed against a boulder losing consciousness and her grip as the dark cold water dragged her down.


    Megumi shook as she slowily stood watching her mother and sister disappear over the edge."MOM!" She moved to the cliffs edge watching the waters swiftly drag them away, her eyes flashing angrily towards Nauru. "GO GET DAD!"With a huff she turned running down the sloped land as she followed the water fear filling her as Amethyst and her mother slipped bellow the waves. She rushed down to where the river split looking around for the white pelt of her mom and the brown of her sister. Amethyst was no where in sight but she could see the unconscious form of her mother caught on a group of fallen trees. Carefully she moved towards it gripping her teeth as she looked around. She was strong but she couldn't hope to pull her mother in from there. Her ears laid flat as she looked up the steep hills hoping her brother was faster than the water that was slowily pulling the trees her mother was caught on.

    Novocain smiled nerviously towards Acies as she spoke slowily going to her side. "Maybe just a walk? I fail to see training being any better for them..." He turned his head sharply to the cries of a wolfling followed by the sharp howl of his sister. "What was that?"

    Amos perked his ears at the sharp cries of panic from his daughters and mate. He got up, rushing through the trees and darting over the brush. In his rush, he grabbed Nauru in his jaws and followed the scent of Megumi. He came upon the scene, tossing Nauru gently to his sister and grunting as he scrambled under the logs, lifting them up with his body and tossing them away, down-stream as he grabbed Vera's scruff and dragged her along shore with Megumi and Nauru. Then, he turned to the icy depths and jumped in, searching desperately for Amethyst. After minutes, minutes that seemed like hours, Amos emerged and coughed up water as he clambered up to the shore with Amethyst in his jaws. He gently set her down, tears dripping down his face as he shook from the cold.


    Nauru watched in horror, eyes widening in utter shock as his mother and sister went over the edge. He yelped as he was picked up, and then tossed to Megumi over the rushing current. As his father once more went to shore, he shook as his sister's body lay limp on the ground. He closed his eyes, tears streaming down his face. "I'm...sorry, Amethyst..." He managed to croak out, laying over her body and shaking.

    Fora short time Megumi stood frozen in her tracks eyes set on her mother watching her cough and choke as she was dragged from the water before laying still and unconscious her breaths sharp and jagged. Pale violet blue eyes looked over towards Nauru as he slumped over thier sister her ears slowily laying back as sorrow was quickly replaced by anger. "You...YOU JERK!" Snarling she seemed to disappear from her place grabbing Nauru by the scruff of his neck before throwing him away from her twin who laid still her body cold and void of life. Megumi shook violently with restraint as she stood protectively over her twin moved forward one solid step her ears flattened. "You did this to her!" Her chest shook as it rose and fell oily tears staining her face and slowily falling onto Amethysts muzzle. "Always a hot head never listening to anyone! I told you the cliff was there and she sacrificed herself to fix the danger you put me in!" Her voice was shaking as her hatred slowily ran down. Her breath became shorter and shorter, her ears blazing with heat laid flat to her skull as a sheer cloud of intimidation rolled from her small frame. "Have you learned anything!" Her lips quivered over bared teeth while her ears laid flat and her eyes blazed slowily calming down as she nudged her sister placing her nose deep into her wet coat before her teeth gripped and she threw her head back letting out a smooth melody of pain, loss, and anger.

    Amos joined in on Megumi's howl, sorrow, anger, and pain evident in his melodious song as it echoed through the valleys and the forests. He ended it softly, slumping over Megumi, Amethyst, and Veragrey as he huddled them all close together.


    Nauru whimpered as he was tossed away, silent as his sister snapped. As they howled, he didn't bother with joining. Regret, sorrow, and confusion were the only present emotions in his fire-colored eyes. He turned, walking off as his father sent him a dark, hateful look. Why...?was the only question the young pup could muster up in his thoughts. Why didn't he listen? Why didn't he just face the facts and wasn't so impatient, jealous, and hot-headed? He cried and cried, his body turned away from everything and his mind shut off. Tthe only emotion he had now was sadness. Even if he didn't ever admit it, Nauru had always loved his sisters and brother. They weren't exactly the best at times, but they were the only thing he knew and he had killed one of them without even knowing it.

    [hr][font=Optima] Ai perked her ears up, hearing the bone chilling howl of the alpha. "What happened." She mumbled, her body sick from the sound.

    Crystal heard the howl and looked to Jayren. Having gained most of her weight and muscle back, she raced over to the source of the howl, fearing what she may find. "Amos, what's wrong?.." She stopped as she saw Amethyst's still form and Veragrey's soaked pelt. She backed up a bit, overwhelmed by the scene. Tears welled up in her eyes, watching the pups.

    Acies ears snapped up, eyes wide as her instincts and predetory urges rose foawrd. Surprisingly fast and limber for her size, she dashed through the forest, branches whipping her face, leaving bloody gouges in their wake. As she skidded to the cliff edge, she slowed in shock as she saw. The alphas and pup looming over a waterlogged scrap of fur. Acies drew a breath sharply as he realized what had happened. The small brute of a female turned, her heavy belly sagging between her legs.
    Upon seeing Nuru, she let out a soft, motherly warble and slunk over to him, pulling him below her soft underbelly and grooming his fur in a sorrowful manner.
    "It's okay Nuru, it was an accident. I know, and I'm so sorry," she murmured, holding the shivering pup user the protection of her body.

    Ayiana jolted at the howl, fear filling her emotions as she ran to Amos seeing the scene unfold before her. "Oh ..no...dear god" she said sorrow filling her tone, the female tipped her head back joining in with the howl the same raw emotion of sadness lacing in with multiple vocals. She went over to Vera knowing the outcome of the mother "I'm so sorry ... I'm so so sorry" she whispered into her fur giving the same thing to Amos.


    Decebel flinched at the howl "I don't know.." he said quietly and jumped at his brothers tune. "No.. not him " he said with a low whine, the male turned to helped A up looking ay hus mate with worried eyes but the sadness already kicking in.


    [color=yellow]The far stopped hearing the howls of sadness, she urged closer hearing a familiar one. She moved with stealth and eagerness bit stopped the scent of many wolves filling her nostrils something was wrong maybe she should wait.

    Bentley perked up as the pained howl rant through his ears. He rushed after Crystal and stopped short to find Amethyst dead on the ground, his mother unconscious and drenched, and Nauru nowhere to be seen. He silently approached, no tears or sorrow evident upon his calm face. All he did was pick Amethyst up gently, slide her into his back, and carry her back up to the camp.



    Sable widened her eyes as her brother, Bentley, carried Amethyst into camp.. "Ben...wha...oh..Amethyst...?" She asked, confused and dumbfounded.



    Nauru cried into Acies fur as she pulled him close, heart heavy with grief. "They...they all hate me now..." He managed to cry out, ears flat against his skull as he tried to wriggle into her sort fur further.

    Helios stepped for behind Acies, his green eyes latching onto Vera. Amethyst was too far gone to save, but Vera was not out of the woods. Quickly the male moved up the the alphas, pushing Amos away gently with hushed words. His ears swiveled about as he set to work. Swiftly he rubbed her chest and throat, before rolling her into her stomach and smacking her sides. As he did so, gritty water bubbled from her lips onto the shore, slow and thick. With no thought involved he sailed into auto drived, reaching his paw down her throat to clear away any grit before pushing more water from her lungs. When all was cleared out he closed her mouth, scooping the piles of sand away from her. The alpha, if she made it, would be lucky to be alive. E turned to Amos, voice sharp like a angered parent. "You idiot lick her! Hard, you need to warm her up; her body is in shock, and so help me if she suffered from this ill box your ears off!" He moved to her legs, rubbing them visiously to try and increase their circulation.

    Acies hugged him with her front leg, ducking her head down to warm his troubled heart with her love. "They do not hate you sweet heart, they are just hurt. Time heals every wound my little one; as so time will heal this." She closed her steel colored eyes as she held him close. Her heart griefed for Vera, Amos, and the pups, alongside the entire pack. Losing a pup was never easy, but it did happen every so often. The General was accompanied by death where ever she stepped; it was her ever silent but always present conpanion, lurking in the shadows to take the next life she slew. Because of this she was conditioned to accept death. So as she tried to sooth Nuru, her own pups twisting inside of her, not a tear fell on the rocky floor of the cliffs as she watched, eyes dull, to the scene before her

    Jayren widened his eyes in shock as he padded up close behind her, flinching at Helios' loud voice.


    Nauru listened quietly, shaking but his tears had stopped. "I hope so. I...I was just tired of being in her shadow....but I...I didn't mean for this to happen..." He explained quietly, eyes heavy.


    Amos nodded, roughly licking Vera all around so she warmed faster.
