PLEASE HELP!

This is an archived version of FeralFront. While you can surf through all the content that was ever created on FeralFront, no new content can be created.
If you'd like some free FeralFront memorabilia to look back on fondly, see this thread from Dynamo (if this message is still here, we still have memorabilia): https://feralfront.com/thread/2669184-free-feralfront-memorabilia/.
  • I recently tried to start a new thread on the "Other" Roleplaying page. It was quite long and descriptive, and I spent (at least) two hours on it (ah, summer). When I pressed the 'preview' button, this was what came up (can`t take a screenshot sorry):

    An Error Occurred.

Sorry, the page you have been looking for is currently unavailable.
    Please try again later.

If you are the system administrator of this resource then you should check the error log for details.

    Faithfully yours, nginx.

Thankfully, I`m a relatively paranoid person so I copied the would-be new thread and have it stored safely. If I hadn`t, however, I probably would have been upset, to say the least.

Please let me know if the problem is:

    A) Post size
    B) An "Other" page error
    C) Something else

I`ll be happy to help fix this problem any way I can (although I`m not very good with computers).

    Thanks!

    Added: This post appeared! Yay!

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=; overflow: adjust; width: 450px; height: ; text-transform: none; font-family: verdana; font-size:8pt;][justify]that usually happens to me when I spend too much time on a page?? I dont know though cx

  • actually, i have this problem all the time. i just go back, and my post is still there, so i copy it, leave the reply page and go back to the thread and reload it.
i think it's going to happen whether you want it to or not- nginx is actually a web server, one that is very popular and widely used. im thinking this is happening because this site uses it to host on? not sure.
however, i would suggest reading this thread about it.

  • [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; width: 450px; border: 1px; border color: transparent]
[justify]nginx is the web server that ff uses - usually that pops up when the site times out, but if you go back and copy your post, in a few minutes the site will run properly again and you can paste/repost it.

  • Thanks, guys! I`ll keep trying to get my thread posted (it`s still giving me the error notification but I think it`s just a hosting problem like you guys said). I appreciate your help (thanks for that link кaёмї) and I`ll be sure to come here again for any more problems! :)

  • BTW:

I figured out that the problem was the image links! I`m guessing that the ones that had a "]" in the link address were causing the problems, but I`m not entirely sure. I fixed it by downloading the picture to my computer and re-uploading it at tinypic.com/, so I was able to post the thread. Yay!
