At the last second, he pulled up, the pressure wave forming ahead of him pushing the waves away from him and cleaving out a path behind him. Banking a hard left, he rose once again, shooting into a cave set into the cliff, flying blind for a moment but following the air flow, and he came out at another cave, well away from Poppy.

Smiling, Hawk stood, looking around for driftwood. It wasn't hard to find much, saying it was low tide, and he soon had a large pile of it. He sat down in front of it, focusing, and a small glow appeared inside the pile, growing until the flame burst into life within it. "There."
