[fancypost borderwidth=0;width: 485px;font-family: verdana; line-height:94%; font-size: 8.5pt;margin-top:10px;][justify]"Nee-sama," a petite mouse-gray feline would speak, her silvery voice containing equal parts respect and apprehension, as she attempted to catch her sister's attention for the umpteenth time that day. Suppressing a sigh, the girl would hesitate for a moment, narrowing her gaze ever so slightly as she considered attempting to address the other again while her lips were still partially parted—though, in the end, she opted to close her jaw, and swallow whatever thoughts she'd wanted to voice, as the chances of her hearing were quite slim, and she so despised wasting her breath. Goodness... as lovely as her twin was, she could be quite scatter-brained at times; often did she allow herself to become lost in her thoughts like this, inadvertently tuning out the rest of the world. It was a troublesome habit, to say the least. However, what she lacked in attention, she made up for in her self-confidence and determination—all traits to be admired, for sure; and Amaya would certainly not hesitate to correct anyone who suggested otherwise; she wouldn't have anyone undermining the talents of her beloved older sibling, or contradicting her views on her one and only role model—such was simply unacceptable; there was no rhyme or reason to it, but was there really any need for one at all? She didn't think so—and at the end of the day, as selfish as it sounded, her personal views were really all that mattered in her eyes.
As the two of them continued on in silence, rather than vainly calling out to her sister another fifty times, she settled for training her azure-kissed gaze hard on the other's lithe, cream-coloured figure, contenting herself with the simple action of observing the graceful lift in her step, the fluidity of her movements; just what the hell had the others been thinking, when they'd said they had wanted to cast her out? Had it been herself being considered for being driven into exile, that might have been understandable... but her sister? Her oh-so wonderful, flawless, and far-too-kind-for-her-own-good older sister? It was unthinkable, unfathomable... were they all blind to perfection when it was staring them right in the face? In that case, it was the loss of their com— no, former comrades, not hers, not her sister's. If their old place of residence had thought it right to drive them out, then clearly they weren't deserving of their presence at all. She and Asami would find a different home, one far nicer than their first one had ever been. Who cared that they were searching for one in the mortal world, who cared that they would both disappear if they didn't manage to convince someone to enter into contracts with them; those were all issues they could worry about later. For now, all they needed to do was put distance between themselves and their old establishment— enough so that she and her sister would never have to cross paths with those assholes ever again.
Now... she really only hoped that her twin knew where she was going. How pathetic would it be if they were to both suddenly walk over the edge of a cliff and plummet to what she would assume to be their deaths? (Given that they weren't mortal, she admittedly didn't quite understand the concept of 'death' or know whether or not such a concept applied to them for that matter, but someone had once said that it was better to be safe than sorry, right?)
"Asami nee-sama," she suddenly would intone, loudly, and in a far more insistent fashion than before; pausing in her tracks to regard her sibling with an intensely expectant stare, her normally-taciturn gaze appearing considerably more stormy and tumultuous than it ever had before. "...With all due respect, do you really know where we're headed?" Though clinical as ever in her manner of speech, Amaya's voice had acquired a subtle edge, which served to further communicate her sense of unrest and disquiet (though she did a fairly decent job of hiding it all beneath her cool exterior; her level of composure had always put her far above most of those her age in terms of maturity—not that it was necessarily anything to be proud of, but it was useful in of itself at times).
