Ricky raised an eyebrow as the boy slowed his car to a stop beside him. "Sure," he mumbled lowly, his expression blank as he climbed in the back seat. He wasn't the most social person, but Rick wasn't one to turn down a free ride. Since he walked everywhere, it was nice to ride in a car every once in a while. He slurred out a thank you before sitting down and crossing his arms.
Marilyn didn't hear her friends' car stopped next to her. One the boy spoke, she jumped out of her skin. "God, you scared me," she giggled. "But sure, thanks!" The cheery girl climbed in beside her sort-of-friend Ricky. She knew him, but they never really talked. "Hi, Ricky," she started, to which the boy only grunted and looked out the window.
