the demon strode to the border through the forest that was new to her. there was no beach anymore. huh. that was a bit weird. she had just taken down a deer nearby and had ripped that poor carcass to shreds because honestly, she was hunger. the ebony lioness had been keeping to the edges of human places and heading to all types of clans to get work. last time she left shadowclan, she left because she wanted to pursue this work and they weren't that cool with her being there when she did it. especially because it broke alliance rules. she actually did go to the exiles for a bit, where she saw set get the absolute sh-t beaten out of him, which now would be funny to think about it but at that time it was kind of serious.

however, she was mainly back to see koko and dad. she knew she wouldn't see tastumi, which slightly saddened her, a reminiscent jingle of the bell on her tail reminding of him. dad #2 wasn't here, last time she saw him he was heading to sunclan. or rather, she didn't see him but instead read a note of his. annoyance bubbled up in her rather quickly at just the thought of him and a slight burst of electricity flared out from under her paw, only resulting in a slight twinge of surprise from the lioness. she really needed to get this sh-t under control, especially since it was getting stronger as the weeks went by. she then moved a few feet away so she wasn't standing on smoldering earth and called out,"yo, anybody here? i'm here to visit." f-ck. she forgot flowers.

[size=9pt]Visiting? Who was visiting now? Nowadays, she usually ignored visitors because they weren't for her. They were usually coming to see a friend, or a family member, or maybe a lover. Whatever it was, she usually didn't show up to those kinds of things. She didn't want to see the warm, loving reunion between the visitor and the person they seemed to be looking for, oh no. It just wasn't for her. Especially since everybody in her god damn motherfucking family left her, she had nobody to visit her. Just looking at something like that might remind her of the pain and heartbreak she felt when her brother disappeared, her sister disappeared, her parents, her girlfriend, and Pixelle. Pixelle, not only her sister, but her best friend. The person she could undoubtedly say she loved the most. Gone. Abandoning her.

"Hm...?" The gruff voice of the ebony lioness at the border snapped her out of her negative thoughts. She let out a small, slightly thankful sigh, and turned over to where the voice was coming from. Immediately, her eyes widened. Who was that? She gave the large feline a once-over, lips pursing into a firm line as her optics narrowed into slits. They looked... familiar. All too familiar. And yet she couldn't give a name to the face. Or maybe she just couldn't believe it was that... someone.

"I'm... here." Kotoko said as she trotted over cautiously, eyeing the other slowly. She stared, and stared, and thought... Wait! No, it couldn't be! She stumbled back. "P-pixelle...?" The pale feline's lip began to tremble. Visions of her and her sister began to flash before her eyes, running around the beach, playing hide and seek in the forest, snuggling together, happy times. Then the note came back into her mind. The note. Oh god damn it, the note! She lowered her head, pressing her paws against her temples as a pounding headache came crashing in. "Pixelle..." she hissed, the name coming out like the horrifying screeching of nails on a chalkboard, like the scream of someone falling into despair, like agony summed up in a single sound.

After all this time, this is when her sister decided to show her face?

"What the fuck are you doing here!?" Kotoko roared as she lifted her head back up, expression stiffer, angrier, luminaries glowing with fury. "After all this time... Now is when you decide to come and see me? Why the fuck do you think, after so god damn long, you think it's a good idea to show up!? You disappeared, abandoned me, and then come back like it was fucking nothing!" A heavy breath. She clenched her teeth. "Do you even have any idea what the hell I was going through!? Everybody left me, Pixelle! Our siblings! Our parents! God damn it, Pixelle, I was alone! And you decided to go away too!" Tears began to form at the corners of her eyes. She didn't bother wiping them away, only lowering her head and taking in a shaky, gasping heave. By now, she was sobbing. The tears came flowing down, staining the hard dirt.

"B-but... I can't fucking hate you for it. God damn, Pixelle... you're... my sister..." She came stumbling forward, aiming to throw her tiny arms around her much larger sister. "Jesus Christ, Pixelle... Y-you're so huge... Too huge..." So much bigger in comparison to her tiny little cat body now. She sniffled, burying her face deep into her sister's chest (that is, if, well, Pixelle allowed her to hug her) and flattening her pointed ears against her skull. "F-fucking Christ... at least you bothered to come back and s-s-see me..." More crying. "I'm... I'm sorry." She pulled away, bringing a paw up to wipe at her disgusting, wet, snotty face. "It's... It's good to see you again."

A small smile. Gentle and warm. Just like she used to smile when she was just a small lion cub, hanging around her siblings and parents and enjoying life as it is. A smile she hadn't smiled in such a long time. It brought a pang of nostalgia back into her mind, but she didn't push it away.

when a small snowy figure came into view and out from behind the underbrush, she couldn't recognize the feline. not like she expected to, however she was looking for sitri, koko, or even set- just somebody she knew. ha, maybe even radio, jim, or sadie. then the white she-cat spoke a name- her name, after announcing her arrival. weird. how did she know pix's name before she had even said it? the feline before her seemed to be having a realization, which was clear by the stumbling, eye widening, and over all the consistent shocked look at the lioness.

honestly, pix was confused, however there was something that was prodding at her instincts right now. this cat was so girly looking and even had that red bow on, and her scent was similar to her littermate's. however, she hadn't been around her sister in so long that she was sure that maybe it was just a coincidence..?

however, in the next moment, the other female's eyes narrowed to angry green slits and there was a change in her posture. what came next was a sh-tstorm of nostalgia and anger hit pix with a f-cking train of guilt. she knew who this was exactly. her own instincts had been telling her right and she just brushed it off, however deep within her mind, this cat before her had already been recognized as her sister. all the anger koko had been feeling was just unloaded like a dump truck and it was hitting the dominoes in her mind that was making her understand.

f-ck. she hadn't meant to leave koko like this. especially not sad. well, let's face it- your family will be sad when you leave, but she had hoped for her to not grieve. scratch that. now that she thought it over, that was impossible. she would have felt the same anger if koko had left.

pix dropped out of her faze of guilt, mentally slapping herself to get back to reality, in time to have koko throw her arms around her large lioness body. at the words that were too koko-like, pix broke into a smile and dropped to the ground so that she was laying and koko wouldn't be in the air. she brought a paw to go over her sister's body and squeeze the feline into a much needed hug.

"hey calm down, i'm here now." she comforted her sister, a smile on her face that she couldn't remove right now. nothing like family reunions, that was for sure. but, she also didn't feel that right now was the time to tell her sister that she actually wasn't going to be staying permanently- that would come a while later. pix would hopefully be staying for a few weeks, anyway.

"so, hey- how's life?" she broke the silence that only consisted of her sister sniffling and the occasional dingle of her own bell that made a noise whenever a breeze hit it.

ughh i feel so bad that i went inactive for a few months but i was just overloaded with projects and schoolwork that it was impossible to do ff at the same time
but alas, i'm back ^^ how have you been?
