[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;] Cale had to close his eyes again, ignoring the irritation that flickered to life inside him at her words. He wanted to curse and howl that that was absolutely bullsh|t, but he wouldn't risk that. He wasn't that stupid, he had never been so vocal anyways. So he began to eat, with his fingers of course. It wasn't unusual, hell he was thankful for the plate, but it felt wrong to act so uncivilized in front of his mistress who, honestly, seemed so poised and formal and pretty that his inability to perform like a good slave upset him slightly. Hoping not to make himself look anymore like an animal than Sabella already undoubtedly saw him as, Cale started with the bacon. [/fancypost]

Sabella gazed at him softly, she had questions, questions about his other owners. But she held her tongue and continued to eat. Finally to break the silence that seem to sink heavily in the air. "Do you like horses?" She asked, genuinely curious about who he was. If given the chance, maybe he would open up to her, he was taller than her and she likes it.
Sabella closed her book and set it on a small table on the other side of the chair. "I have three, one mustang, and two appaloosa's who look like dalmatians" she continued, smiling as her eyes drifted to the window that showed the side of the house and the wooded area around them.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;] Cale paused midbite on his third and final piece of bacon, mulling over the question. It didn't seem like a trap, but perhaps Sebella was more adept at hiding her intentions than his other owners. "They're okay, Ma'am,"he told her quietly, gobbling up the last bit of wonderful meat,"But I've never really been around them." His heartbeat began to race while he waited for her reply, and he quickly began to eat the rest of his meal in case he had displeased her. [/fancypost]

Sabella tapped her chin in thought as if to think of what to say next. "We're about to have a colt, our only mare is pregnant" she continued, looking at a picture on the mantle of the fireplace of all her horses. She took several large bites on her now plate full of eggs and toast. "Is there anything you like to do for fun?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;]That got his heart to speed up a bit, and Cale set his now empty plate down on the floor in front of him. "No, I don't usually have the time for anything other than work,"he said, only pretending to give it a second of thought; he knew she was fishing for punishments. Did she think he was stupid? Likely, actually, but he wasn't, and he wasn't going to give up his few means of entertainment. [/fancypost]
-
"Oh i almost forgot! Everyone gets at least one day off here, i'll leave that up to you to decide on what day" she began, remembering things she forgot to tell them. "Also while on time off, you mustn't leave the borders of my land, my neighbors will think you're a runaway and that will cause me to have to punish you." Her small tiny hand started to reach for his ear, slowly, she wanted to feel the tuffs of fur on his ears. Sabella felt a small need for him to trust her, because she knew he didn't.
She couldn't help but show her nervousness as she was so close to touching him, to show him a gentle hand, she always managed to get bit by scared pets when she tries this, so she was taking a risk. small scared bite marks could be seen on her hands.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;] Cale turned to a statue in an instant, his entire posture freezing as if caught in ice. He was stupid, he was being stupid and pathetic and he knew it, but he couldn't hide the fear that flitted across his features when Sabella reached for his ears. They were the one part of him that got the most attention, at least in regards to toeturing. He had had them pierced countless times, only to have the piercings removed a few days later so they could just do it over and over again without leaving any permanent holes. Pins, needles, burns and everything else had been done to his poor ears, he didn't trust this human's hand for a second. [/fancypost]

Sabella noticed the the fear, and her eyes widen and grew sad as she quickly pulled her hand back. Feeling pain in her chest she turned away, she then got up from her chair, without a glance back at him and walked to the door. "I'll be in my room" her voice was tight, like a lump was forming in her throat and she went out the door.
The servants asked her if she would like anything while she confined herself to her room. "Just some tea please, and a book i left in the library" she smiled and calmly walked up the stairs. Why was she acting like this? Usually she's calm when this kind of stuff happened. Why is it now that it's different?
Sabella then began walked down the hall of the upper floor to the large door at the end of the hall to the right. She opened it up to a white room, with a large king bed with satin white sheets. Even her curtains were white. She then flopped down on her bed with a rigorous sigh.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;] Cale remained dead still, his heart racing wildly in his chest. Oh no, he thought quietly, and scrambled to his feet. He f-cked up, so bad. No no no! He wasn't supposed to get in trouble this early! Panic shot through him like ice, and he silently padded up the stairs to his room. He didn't know what to expect, he didn't know if it was going to be trashed. He was so scared Savella was going to be standing there, whip in hand, ready to flat him alive. [/fancypost]

A male servant entered the library with a concerned face. "Cale? Did you see where miss put her book?" He asked as he looked around the room. Then he stopped to look back at Cale "Did something happen?" he asked softly, curiously and very concerned.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;] Cale silently shook his head, and then winced,"I upset her,"he blurted, and then flinched again,"I-i didn't mean to, she reached for my ears and I panicked, I'm sorry." He ducked his head immediately and resisted the urge to shuffle away. He deserved to be hurt, he knew that, but he wished he could have enjoyed the bedroom a little longer.[/fancypost]
-
The servant nodded "Ah, then don't worry, she's just taking it a little to heart, she'll be fine" he smiled, finding the book and is about to exit the room. "You may not trust us, but in time you will see that she's different...."
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;]Cale flinched again and returned to his bedroom, assuming that was a dismissal. Thankfully, the room was still intact, and he didn't hesitate to close the door this time. He jumped on the bed and snuggled beneath the wonderful blankets, trying to commit their texture to memory.[/fancypost]

The hours ticked by, and Sabella doesn't come out of her room until her bell in her room was ringing for dinner time. She shuffled out of her room, her eyes sleepy from an obvious nap, and slowly stepped to the stairs. "Cale? Dinner time" She called out, wondering what room he must have picked. Sabella then stepped down the stairs and went across the kitchen into the formal dinning room. It only had a small table seated for four people and she slumped down in a chair. "What's dinner for tonight?" She asked, and the answer was chicken fried steak, buttery mashed potatoes, and green beans with a side of brown gravy.
Sabella's eyes went to the door as if to wait to see if Cale would come down or not. "I did kinda scared him" she whispered to herself as she sighed heavily and was brought out a plate of foot and a glass of water.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;]Cale had actually fallen asleep, under his blankets and hidden from view. It wasn't the most restful sleep, not by a long shot, but he was sleeping, and the blankets still felt like heaven. [/fancypost]
-
Sabella had shrugged of Cale and continued to eat, soon when she was done she decided to return to her room. Grabbing an extra plate of food, she talked to a servant who knew where Cale's room was and directed herself to bring him a plate. Sabella then stood outside, carefully twisting the knob of the door and opening it as carefully as she could. Seeing him curled in the bed made her smile as she placed the plate down and exited quickly to return to her own quarters for early sleep.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;]He mumbled in his sleep, and began to toss and turn slightly. However, the blankets did wonders to soothe his nightmares, and actually began to improve his way of sleep. Against his will, so so much, he began to purr. [/fancypost]
-
The sun started to shine through the window the next morning, threatening the peaceful sleep Sabella was in. The sun was in her face, causing her to stir and open her eyes sleepily. She tossed and turn for several minutes before a servant came into the room to briefly wake her up. "I'm up, i'm up" she muttered, her voice cracking with tiredness. Sabella got from her bed, wearing a slim purple night gown that made her red hair stand out, and she gently slipped on slippers and exited out of her room. It was at least an hour before breakfast would be made, which she loved getting up early.
Sabella then sat in her study, reading new parcels of mail and the news paper that was nicely given to her by one of her 'toughies' (men who are rather large in size) and she thanked him and started her daily routine.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;] Cale hadn't stirred a bit during the night, nor had his purrs paused for a second. As the night went on, he slipped deeper and deeper into sleep, a wonderful dreamless sleep. He seemed to be so asleep, in fact, that the sun shining directly on his face didn't disturb him in the slightest.[/fancypost]
