  • "So now what?" Rainkit asked Spiderstar. She was willing
to do whatever it takes to be welcomed in her new home,
Stormclan. In the past, other cats have been..unwelcoming and
rude to her, so Rainkit was determined not to mess up this time.

"You're an eager one," she remarked, eyes glittering. The oriental liked the spirit this kit showed, but there wasn't a lot to do when you were injured.
"For now, your job is to rest up and recover. That cut wasn't deep, but if it gets infected then things could get nasty."
She gestured the her clanmates one by one with her tail.
"Seir, Graves, Arizona, who already introduced herself to you, Larkpaw, our assistant deputy, Blazeheart, our Medicine Cat."
The black cat paused, and then bowed her head a little.
    "And I'm Spiderstar, the leader."

  • Rainkit bowed her head, showing respect to the leader.
It was true, she was eager to get started, but Spiderstar
was right, she did need to rest. She looked back at her wound,
hoping it would heal soon. The young kitten couldn't wait for the day
that she would be ready to participate in different jobs.
