Dark Beat

"It's no problem." he smiled. "See you Alios." TORTUER said as Reginald walked over in his street clothes. "you two be careful heading home." he then turned to Pericolo. "Come on. I'm parked just out front." he then led him on.

He noticed the struggle and slowed down. Soon they reached his car. It look normal in every since of the word for the Dark Zone. Just a regular blue car with a black strip down the middle of it. TORTURE opened the passenger door for Pericolo with a smile.

(Hahah. Right. Let's do this. :P)
"I'll be right here waiting for you my dear." Reginald smiled.

TORTURE shut the door and got in on the other side. He turned the car on and made sure the heat was on. "Buckle up ok." he said putting his seat belt on. "We don't move till you do." he then said making sure his mirrors and all were good and that the heat was blowing properly.

"You look dashing as always." Reginald smiled as he stood up.

Once he was sure Pericolo was buckled in, "Then we're off." he said putting the car in reverse and driving off. "Where exactly is your place at? Just give me the name of the place. I've got the rest." he asked as he drove on not taking his eyes off the road.

"Yes. Let us walk." he said holding his hand out for him.

"Understood," TORTURE smiled in the dark. "I know right where that is. I visit that place regularly. Not to hard to get too."
He drove on carefully and followed the rules of the rode. Till something seemed to eat at him. It was barely noticeable in the dim glow of the car's interior lights but he was almost constantly checking his rear view mirror. More then anyone would ever do. He also seemed to grip the steering wheel tighter and had a slightly stern face. He also seemed to be taking a longer route back to the loft. Before Pericolo could ask anything.
"Don't panic, Pericolo. Just act normal." he paused a moment looking in the mirror. He stopped at the red light in front of them since it was red and turned to the back seat and pulled something from back there. He handed it to Pericolo. It was nothing more then just a stuffed animal that appeared to belong to a young child. "Ok. Just act normal and don't panic from what I'm about to tell you. I think we're being followed. I don't know who they are exactly but I have my suspicions." he started driving again when the light turned green. He took a deep breath and let it out becoming looser. "I promise you, you are in safe hands. Just trust me and we'll get through this ok. I wont let any harm come to you... I hate you're being drug into stuff like this. I never meant for it. Heh.. Crummy first date." he went silent still checking his mirrors as they went farther and farther away from the loft. "....... You trust me Pericolo?..." TORTURE asked genuinely concerned.

Reginald smiled and led him on. When they were out in the street he moved his arm and linked his and Alois' arms together so they were closer together. "You did amazing tonight." he smiled.

"Good." TORTUER said concern on his face for his new friend and love interest. "I'm going to make a turn up here that no one ever makes. If this guy follows me then we're being tailed. You just hold to that stuffed animal. I'll get you out of this I promise." He then watched the car behind them and made the turn.
Sure enough the car turned with them.
"Ok. They turned with us. Hold on to that animal." he said making the seat belts tighter in the car. "You're safe with me. If there is one thing about police officers here." he switched his hand quickly to shuffle steering, "We're trained to protect kings." He stomped on the gas hard then and the car quickly accelerated.
The car behind them did the same and was hot on his tail. "Hold on to what you have Pericolo! You're my king tonight!" he said and made a very hard turn making the car skid sideways and shoot down an ally.

"And I caught you. The crowd loved it." Reginald smiled.

(Shuffle steering is steering at the bottom of the wheel. It gives the driver more control over the car. It's how I usually drive. It's with the hands at the 5 and 7 o'clock position.)

TORTURE's eyes were fixed on the road as he barreled down the ally with the car still on them. There was a sharp turn up ahead of them with a wall to another building dead ahead. Without missing a beat(heh) TORTURE pulled on the emergency break, while keeping his foot on the gas, and forced the car to start turning sideways again. He released the break just before the turn and the instant they were clear of the wall the car shot forward down the next ally.
The car that was following them had down the same but not as graceful as TORTURE.
This seemed to give TORTURE an idea. "Have faith in me, Pericolo! You are my king and I am here to serve and protect you! And I am going to do! Just! That!" The car seemed go faster now as they barreled down the ally way the car still with them but not as close as before.

"They don't love you as much as I do." Reginald said smiling at Alois. "None can."

(I find it really hilarious the huge difference between both of the scenarios here. In one it's fast pace Fast and Furious. The other just a lovely walk at night. Both oblivious to what it going on with the other. XD)

TORTURE kept a close eye on both the ally and the car behind them. It looked like the road suddenly opened up ahead and dropped off with a kind of cliff. He gripped the steering wheel tightly and throttled up.
The car behind them seemed to be gaining which was exactly what TORTURE wanted. Just before the ally ended and a little too close for anyone's comfort he pulled both the emergency break, stomped on the breaks, and turned the wheel as hard as he could causing the car to skid horribly. They slid out of the ally sideways and he released everything and stomped as hard as he could on the throttle causing the wheels to spin out and the car to fish tail before taking off.
The car that was tailing them flew past where they had just been and through a guard railing and plummeted to the sand below.
TORTURE got them out of there as fast as he could. Soon he slowed down and came to a stop in a safe area not too far from the station. His arms dropped from the steering wheel with exhaustion and he gave out a long sigh of relief. "You ok, Pericolo?" he asked more concerned about Pericolo then himself.

"You. I love you. Just who you are. I love you for you." Reginald smiled, "You make my days brighter."

"Good." he said sinking in his seat. He didn't seem to notice how Pericolo was blushing. "I'm sorry you got dragged into that. I know that must've been horrifying."

"Well I could ask same of you." Reginald said.

"Still," he said rubbing his fingers through his hair to rub out stress, "Civilians like you shouldn't get drug into stuff like this. It's not right." TORTURE said.

"Well guess that comes from being through a lot of hell over years." Reginald smiled.
