  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 475px; text-align: justify; font-size: 11px](if you don't feel like reading, malaella developed molecular manipulation and water elementals. she basically can "create" ice now)

The night was crisp and warm and Malaella found herself comfortably settling down in an abandoned courtyard with a book. The title had been long since washed away but the contents were very well intact so she read and read until her eyelids began to droop and her shoulders sag. When it was finally time to retire, she firmly shut it before curling up around it, reasoning to just sleep there for the night. King's Landing was a large place but she figured that nobody would bother her. If they did, she would rain hell down upon them.

There was little hope in that promise though, and it took almost an hour for Malaella to drift off into an unsettled sleep, lips twisted into a deep frown. But time passed and she relaxed, a dreamy sigh harshly escaping from her snoozing form... that was when she began to dream.

At first, all she could detect was the cold. . It bitterly nipped at her paws and caused her to huddle to the ground for warmth, lavender eyes falling shut. An ominous wind berated her lithe figure and at one point, she even began to whimper, finding that she did not this weather one bit. But she was a fighter and managed to persevere, eventually gritting her teeth and standing up once more. She could overcome this chill, she knew she could! And she did, she pushed herself forward and while the cold was still there, it was a friend, not a foe.

Her vision had been white this entire time and, finally, it seemed to clear, revealing a forested setting draped in ice and snow. Everything was silent, muted by the white fluff everywhere, and as she tested out a few hesitant foot-steps, a look of childlike wonder moved to embrace her pale features. Her house words might of been 'Fire and Blood', but there was something appealing and magical about the snow everywhere. Warmth certainly ran through her veins, but it didn't run through her heart and soul... She was aware of that now.

Suddenly, Malaella awoke. She did not know what had just happened but wrote it off as a dream spurred by an imaginative mind- she had been reading fiction before bed. Still, there was something oddly real about what she had dreamed, something that caused her to silently approach the fountain that rested before her, something that caused her to extend a paw and watch as the water, not a lot, moved towards it. Closing her eyes, she did the only thing that felt natural: she froze it. Somehow, someway, she managed to manipulate the molecular structure of the substance and all that was left in its wake was a perfectly round piece of ice, one that she could not keep floating in the air. It entered the water with a small splash and left the Targaryen lioness looking absolutely dumbfounded.

"What just happened?" She questioned aloud, shaking her head. Her attention was so fixed on the slowly-melting ice that she didn't even realize that her nose had began to bleed, her body temporarily drained by the use of new powers. It was no matter though... she certainly wouldn't mind sacrificing her energy for the sake of these abilities. Not everyone had things like this happen to them, after all.

Did Mala have water elementals too? Hey they could be water buddies now! April went over and smiled. "You've got elemental powers, I can too!" April said, and would gently pull a tiny amount of water out of the air and onto April's nose.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 475px; text-align: justify; font-size: 11px]Still blissfully unaware of her nosebleed, Malaella would turn to face April with an obvious frown. For a moment, it seemed almost as if she was disappointed, her pride crushed as the Tyrell displayed having a similar ability. But she didn't let it get to her for long, and after a moment of silently reprimanding herself, she appeared to be perfectly fine once again. Who cared if they had an ability in common? In retrospect, hundreds had to be able to do something of the same caliber- she wasn't that special. She was still a child though, and the logical side of her figured that that was where the sudden burst of jealousy originated from. Sometimes her adolescent instincts took control and she thought or did something unforgivably impulsive. At least this time, she caught herself and calmed down... were she to call the other female out for something that might not of been helped.... well, that would be disastrous and possess repercussions she certainly didn't want to deal with.

    "What do such powers entail?"

Sniffling (and thus ceasing the flow of blood for a second or two), she would curiously watch the girl manipulate the water and move it to, of all places, her nose. She seemed to have a good handle on it though, and were she not completely opposed to asking favors of the other Houses, she might of even contemplated vocalizing her desire for lessons. That being said, a Targaryen had to be able to do this and she reasoned to just seek them out later and ask them for help. She was certain that they (whoever they were) would be happy to oblige.

[color=#c0c0c0]"Will I be able to master them?" She proceeded to inquire, her attention falling back upon the water. By now, the ice had completely dissolved and she made the decision to make more. Raising a paw, she would concentrate all of her energy on manipulating the molecules and thus change its structure entirely. When she had frozen a decent enough chunk, which wasn't large at all, she sat back relatively satisfied, something that could even resemble a smile spreading across her lips. Of course, her nosebleed only intensified and she felt the back of her head begin to throb. What was happening...? Why did she feel so drained suddenly?

Inhaling a deep breath, she would steady herself and finally wipe away the blood that had gathered underneath her nose, staring at it in surprise. [color=#c0c0c0]"Why didn't you tell me that I was bleeding?" She practically demanded, brow knitting in frustration. She was making a fool of herself and for what? Huffing indignantly, the lioness would turn away from the Tyrell and stare at her thawing creation, muttering something all the while. [color=#c0c0c0]"Can't believe I was bleeding... Can't believe you didn't tell me. Can't believe this entire situation."

She was being bitter for the sake of being bitter and felt great about it. Pettiness was in her blood and she certainly didn't regret snapping at April. Nope, not one bit.

(this post is so bad towards the end bc i picked it up after four hours so sorry about the quality!)

Well her powers probably differed from Mala's. "Well it depends on the person. I can manipulate the water to move or come out of the air, but I haven't been able to turn it into ice like you. The power varies from person to person." she said. April watched as the Tar member manipulated some more ice, oblivious to the noise bleed she was experiencing. "Anyone can master them with enough work." the female commented. April would only realize the nosebleed after she wiped it away. Wincing a bit at her words, the Tryell would say "Sorry I didn't notice! I was focused on how cool it was that you could turn water into ice!" she said.
