  • So basically I'm potentially wanting to bring back older characters who were adopted out to me, but I know that a lot of people adopt out inactive kits of their characters. I'm not sure if these cats are mine still because of this? I never got any messages saying they were adopted out or anything, but I don't know if parents typically message the roleplayers when they rehome? These are characters from like 2012/2013 and the parent roleplayers are all long gone so I can't ask them sadly. Should I just bring them back under the assumption they're still under my belonging? Also, if your character has had kits, did you/would you message the roleplayer if you rehomed their character?

  • I would say that you should be good to roleplay them. I've done this before in instances where I did not get a message notifying me of being rehomed. As for messaging them, yes I would because they deserve to know that the character isn't theirs anymore.

  • Dittoing the above; it's completely fine if you rehome a roleplayer's kit that was originally yours if the roleplayer of the child has fallen inactive and hasn't provided any notice.

  • Thanks everyone for your opinions on this!! Seems the consensus is it should be fine, which is what I was thinking but wanted to get some second opinions on. Thanks again!
