He looked like a fucking emo kid or something, walking around in pure black plumage and a look that could kill. He didn't like it - it made him self conscious. He didn't look ominous on purpose, and he hated that fact that he put everyone on edge. He wanted to be at least a little bit more normal than he was. But he wanted to stay unique as well, despite his hatred for his body. Plus, shapeshifting took a lot of energy and caused him a lot of pain, so he'd go with something a bit... different.


    Ronan didn't even care if he was doing this in plain sight in the middle of the camp. He wasn't someone who cared about those things. The hiisihound sat still as a statue, his fur gradually going from a jet black into a smoky gray, light gray, and finally ending up pure white. His whole form was now covered in glossy pearly feathers, and as he opened up his four eyes, instead of two pairs of mismatched optics his gaze was now ice blue - all four of his eyes holding that same color that paired up rather well with the icy glare he was currently sporting.

    The pelt that clung to Kate's athletic frame was entirely black as well, like it had been her entire life. Unlike Ronan, though, she was far from self conscious about the dark color - anyone could tell. Her voice was loud enough to draw much more attention than necessary without trying, and her pelt wasn't always groomed as neatly as it could have been. Frankly, Kate would say that she had too much going on in her life too worry about what she looked like. That's what she thought now, at least. Soon she'd be getting older and attracted to guys - times she didn't like to think about.
    She'd been padding through camp, her interest mildly caught by Ronan, simply because she couldn't find herself recognizing him. Her blue gaze lazily rested on him for a second, before it widened and she stopped in her tracks. Ears rising in the back of her head as she watched as she shifted before her very eyes. What once was an ebony hybrid had just turned into an alabaster feathered male, sporting two heads. The transformation was awe-inspiring, and she couldn't help but find herself padding over to get the scoop.
    "That was sick, mister," Kate would intone, her blue eyes still sparkling with admiration. [b]"How'd you do that?" It would be pretty cool if she could turn white every once in a while - she forgot about the shape-shifting power that she possessed.

He always had those, and shape shifting had played no role here. He didn't like moving into new bodies - he liked his old one despite the color. But he wouldn't be surprised if someone who had never seen him before didn't know that.


    The canine's ears perked forward at the question, and the moment that he heard a voice his whole form stiffened up, a silent snarl pulling his lips down. The two heads snapped towards Kate, icy eyes shining with a dangerous look to them, one that screamed "go away I hate talking." But he'd be... Civil. "Color manipulation. It's not something exactly special, though, so.... Run along," he muttered out through his gritted teeth.

    If there was one thing that Kate didn't get, it was obvious hints. Ronan's forced tone and angry glare should have been enough to turn her away, but still the lab mix stayed, her interest piqued to the point where she didn't feel like leaving; at least yet. Ronan was just a challenge - she'd make friends with everyone at one point or another. At least, that's what the naïve lab believed.
    "I'll run along soon enough," she retorted cheerfully, unfazed by the messages that Ronan was sending her in his tone and expression. [b]"Why'd you change, though?" She gave him a smile, at the peak of obnoxiousness yet she wasn't backing down.
