This rp takes place a few hundred years ago in the Kingdom of Ronan. Alec Stone is 19 years old and he is already very high up in the kingsguard. Alec is basically a step down from the captain of the guard, which is surprising for someone of his age. He's sort of mysterious and nobody knows about his past. Anyway, your character is the princess, and she isn't exactly...the most behaving princess. She tends to go out into the town a lot without getting permission or protection, she sneaks out at night, and is not afraid to get into fights with others. She basically does anything that could cause trouble. She's adventurous and sometimes reckless. Her father, the king, knows this so he orders Alec to be on the watch for her, to be her guard, and to follow her when he cannot. He's basically her babysitter.

Neither the princess nor Alec are too happy about this. In fact, they almost despise each other. But nevertheless, Alec does as he's told. However, Alec ends up learning a huge secret about the princess, after she sneaks out one night (and it's totally up to you what the secret is. Maybe she's an assassin, or has powers, or anything you prefer). Alec realizes there's more to the princess than he thought and the two build a friendship, that eventually turns into a romance. But Alec is just a kingsguard, and she's a princess. The world is against them being together. Especially when the king arranges a marriage with a prince, and then an attack on the kingdom occurs. How will the two save their romance?

    This is my character, Alec.

[align=center][font=arial][color=white]Please post a picture of your character, and please try to be active. Also, I would prefer it if you could at least write two good sentences per post. And please let me know if you have any questions and feel free to suggest any ideas that you may have. I think that's it, thanks!

  • Yeah sure. I was thinking we should start out with them meeting for the first time. Like maybe one night she sneaks out and Alec catches her (which is something the others guards could barely ever do). And the king himself thanks him and assigns him as her bodyguard, and therefore she automatically doesn't like him? Is that ok?

  • Alec hated the winter. It was far too cold outside. He would rather be inside the walls of the warm castle with the other members of the Kingsguard than outside freezing his toes off. But he didn't complain, there was no point. He had to follow Captain Andre's orders and make his rounds of the castle's perimeter, while also checking on the other guards that were posted outside. Another one of the many responsibilities of being second-in-command of the Kingsguard. Captain Andre said it was part of the new security measures, and that's all he would say about it. Alec wondered why the Captain would bother with such protective measures when the Kingsguard and the castle's walls were basically impenetrable. Who were they trying to keep out?

After checking on the few guards posted outside the side entrance, Alec started to make his way towards the back of the castle. Alec shivered a little beneath his light, black armor. He could feel the chilly air within his bones. But the cold air was the only thing keeping him standing so late in the night. He told himself his movement would keep him warm, and he continued walking. In that moment, he wanted nothing more than a nice, warm cup of tea. But he knew that his shift wouldn't be over for hours. Alec then let out a long breath before glancing up at the full moon in the sky. His body ached for some action. Something to get his heart racing and his blood pumping, rather than just walking the perimeter. He needed something to release his mind from its present state of boredom.

As he made his way along the back wall of the castle, he heard something that peaked his interest. It was the slight creak of a door opening. He looked up and scanned the dimly-lit area. And as if it was second nature to him, he placed his hand on top of his sword handle ready to pull it from its sheath. And there amongst the shadows, Alec spotted a figure walking out of castle's secret back door. Not many people knew about since it was only used for emergencies. He then realized why the new security measures were put in place. They weren't trying to keep someone out...they were trying to keep someone in.

  • It's now or never Dorothea thought looking out her window out at the snow covered landscape of the kingdom. She quickly slid on the hood of her cloak and ran out of her room down the halls. She had been doing this for a while now though she knew it was going to be more difficult with mire guards posted around the castle.

Her father knew about her leaving to go off on her adventures in the forest, but didn't understand why she left. No one except Dorothea did and for the time being she would keep it that way. She reached the secret back door and opened trying not to cause too much noise. She looked around the dimly lit area before taking off to the wall. Though as she ran, she felt the eyes of someone watching her.

  • Once the figure moved from the shadow of the castle's walls and into plain sight, Alec recognized her instantly. It was the young and rebellious princess sneaking out at all hours of the night. And suddenly, everything made sense. Why the increase in security and why Captain Andre insisted that Alec take the night shift and make a perimeter around the castle. He was trying to prevent this.

Alec had to admire her carefulness. As soon as she stepped out she was cautious of her surroundings. She would have seen him too, if he were not pressed against the castle walls, hiding in the shadows. He didn't know why he didn't just stopped her immediately. Part of him guessed it was because he wondered where she intended on going. And as soon as she felt that it was safe, she was in plain sight and heading towards the wall. He followed her of course. For as long as he could, and then he would stop her eventually.

  • Dorothea faced the wall still feeling as though someone was watching her in the darkness. She looked over to see some of her red hair was sticking out from her hood making it obvious who she was. After all she was one of the few people with red hair in the castle. She cursed under her breath while pushing the hair away behind her ear before reaching up and began to climb.

Hopefully this'll go as planned she thought scaling the wall one in a while her foot would slip sometimes. She glanced back to see if anyone was in the darkness watching her directly. Then she spotted him, the young second-in-command of the guard. Her heart beated faster and it made her stop for a moment. Please him not see me she thought resuming her climbing almost reaching the top.

  • Once Alec got to her she was already scaling the wall. "Oh my God," he whispered under he breath afriad she was going to fall. He was debating on whether to call out to her. He was afraid he would startle her and then she would definietly fall. She was almost to the top, and just then she turned her head. She saw him. But instead of stopping, she continued to climb. That's it. Alec had to stop her.

"Princess!" he called out to her. "Where do you think you're going at these ungodly hours? Come back down so you don' get hurt!" he had to yell a little so that she would hear him. Alec almost couldn't believe this. He had heard of the princess sneaking out many times before, but the other guards had almost always caught her. And he would just hear stories, like how she sometimes ran and how they had to chase her down, or how she would hide the crowds in town and it would take the guards hours to find her. Alec laughed inwardly at this. She was a troublemaker, no doubt. And he never had really talked to her before. Of course he's seen her around in the castle. But he's never talked to her. This would be their first time, and in such an unusual situation at that.

  • Dorothea looked back at the guard who yelled at her and tried to get a good look at him. It was rather difficult due to there barely being light. She could tell he was young, about her age or so, but he was the second in command. She admired the fact that he could get up to that rank at such a young age.

"I'm sorry commander, but I'm not coming down that easily" she responded jumping over the other side of the wall, landing on her feet. She ran off into the village. There weren't that many people out and about, but there were some so she could hide among them like she had done before when hiding from a guard.

  • Alec closed his eyes and sighed. He wondered if he should turn back and go get some other guards. No, by then she will be too far gone. He would have to find her himself. Alec then started to scale the like the princess had but at a much quicker pace. When he reached the top he could see running into the village. He's needs to hurry or it'll be impossible to find her. He quickly climbed down the wall and took off running. When he wanted some action tonight, he didn't have this in mind. Running after the rebellious red-headed princess through a crowd of people so late at night. Once he reached the village he looked for any sign of her.

  • As he arrived, she hiding was among a small group of peasant girls trying to converse with them to make it less obvious that she was there. Her hair was showing again from under her hood. Dorothea looked up to see the guard running into the village and ran off into the closest building which was a pub. I doubt he would think I'd come in here she thought sneaking inside.

  • Alec looked around at the crowd. He didn't see princess. Great. She wouldn't have kept running through the crowd. She's good and she knows how to easily allude guards. Alec looked around, if he was her where would he hide? The only places that were still open were the pubs and the inns. The inns have more hiding places but less people. She would hide at the pub he decided. It's the last place any average guard would look and she could hide easily amongst the people there. "The pub it is," he muttered before walking towards the pub.

Once Alec entered the pub he instantly felt a few people eyeing him. He couldn't blame them. What would an especially young kingsguard be doing in a pub at this late hour anyway? Alec brushed them off and started to scan the room. Looking for any sign of the princess.

  • Well time to blend in Dorothea thought sitting at the counter and ordering a beer. She kept her gaze at the door wondering if the guard was going to figure out she was here. After all only this and a couple inns were open this late. Maybe he'll check an inn since it has more places to hide she hypothesized when the door bursted open.

"Looks like he knows I like to hide in plain sight" she commented while taking a sip of her beer. She decide to stay blending in until he eventually found her. She heard whispers around her wondering what would cause the guard to come here out of all places. Dorothea smiled amused by the scene while sipping her beer.

  • Even though it was late the pub was still quite crowed. This is when the whores and thugs like to come out late at night. He ignored the people's stares and whispers as he slowly made his way through the crowd. He scanned the area but there were too many people in such a small area. He would have to walk around and look for the princess himself. He started walking towards the bar, when he got stopped by a blonde woman. She was beautiful with golden blonde hair, and her curvy body was about to spill out of her dress.

"Hello, there. What seems to bring a guard like yourself to a place like this so late at night?" she asked, her voice was rich and as smooth as velvet. She placed a hand lightly on his shoulder, which was covered with armor. "Looking for something?" she asked looking up at him seductively. Alec had to refrain from rolling his eyes. This was the last thing he needed, getting hit on by a prostitute. His eyes continued to dart around the room for the princess. "You could say that," was all he said. She had to be here somewhere.

  • She watched him scan the crowd trying to find her while she finished her last drop. Suddenly, she saw a golden mess of hair on one of the many ladies of the night within the pub come towards him. She'd seen this before, but never with one of the guards trying to find her. She knew he could get in trouble if he neglected his duties and went off with the temptress so she got up and walked towards him.

She snuck up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. "Um commander, I heard you were looking for me" she said removing her hood to show who she was knowing this might startle a few of the patrons of the pub.
