It was meant to be a simple trip; a simple ten hour plane trip over international waters. The pilot had performed it many times before. He could fly the bird with his eyes closed, though he wouldn't due to lawsuit issues and downright stupidity.
The passengers varied from experienced flyers to panicked newbies, and all their feelings differed as the plane took off. The air was clear and the clouds were light and fluffy for the first two hours of the flight. The pilot and his co-pilot felt pretty confident and the passengers were settling in.
The signs were small at first. The sky darkened and the wind resistance picked up, beating the cockpit a little. No matter, the pilot had flown out of a minor storm before. He took himself to a higher altitude to fly above the storm clouds, but it seemed luck would not have it. The light all but disappeared and the plane shuttered. The attendance calmed the passengers by saying it was merely turbulence, but the more the Great Bird shook the more everyone knew it wasn't that simple. Rain beat the small, circle windows and against the cockpit's clear glass. The pilot lost complete control, and the storm pushed the plane around in every direction, while lightning and thunder cracked and boomed with a dominating force.
The pilot spoke through the monitor, warning the passengers to brace themselves for impact. He tried his hardest to make the crash he knew was coming as soft as possible, but the Bird was going on a downward spiral and even his brain was rattled at the excessive amount of combustion. The world was spinning, and no one knew what was up or down, and no one was prepared for when the crash finally came. It made no difference, however, as upon first impact, everyone blacked out.

The group wakes up, unscathed and very disoriented. The plane is in tact and the jostled look of a plane that just went through hell is no longer evident. It simply appears as if they landed.
The catch? They landed in 1916. It was one of the rare, unexplained moments where people got to step into history, but it wasn't as interesting as T.V made it sound. No one could know about what time they were from, so they had to look and talk like a person from the 1900s. They had to act like new technology was amazing and that life before the internet was just life. Life was in constant fear due to the World War, and they know to feel the same, yet just when they all think they are starting to get the hang of it, they go to sleep, and they wake up a decade later. 1926 is a year without war and is where you spend all your money on riches. Forget the troubles of ten years ago and indulge. It's easy to get lost in the mindset, but the group knows they don't belong. Eventually, they fall asleep yet another fateful night, and they wake up in the brink of the Great Depression. 1936 makes you forget about the easygoing life of a decade previously very quickly, and the group soon feels an urgency to get back home. It seems the only possible way is to go through all the stages of the 20th century. However, just when they think they are figuring things out, just when they think they can ride this strange week out and end up back in their own time, the passengers go to sleep in 2006 and wake up to gunshots and cowboy hats. 1816. Nothing was going to be just predictable, and when they feel like going their own ways, they just might have to band together to figure this all out. That plane, though they felt it was more trouble than it was worth, might be the key.
