fancy, jude was not. he enjoyed things in life and disliked aspects of things that would have classified him as a peasant had he lived many decades ago. centuries previous to the present, his tastes would have been frowned upon. he'd take a glance upon extravagance, upon the size compared to the flavor of the fanciest dishes and the outlay compared to the aesthetic of the most longed for designs and fads in clothing, and feel no interest. he wanted things to be efficient. capable. competent. and while extravagance could display these qualities, they more often lacked them in favor of facade.
perhaps this was why the sight of a castle, while abandoned and crumbling and unappealing aesthetically to any perfectionist but still in and of itself a castle, threw jude off in at least the slightest. how well the structure held up, he did not know, and warily eyed the building for a long few moments before moving his olive gaze across the territory as a general habitat. he saw nothing of interest, or at least nothing that caught his attention beyond what he'd already seen. therefore, the alabaster male moved slightly closer to their borders, ivory tail twitching warily behind him as he settled into a seat.
despite his opinionated mind and... taboo tendencies, jude was a timid creature. he was au fait with this fact, not minding it as he wouldn't want to bother with the effort of changing himself or even attempting to. because of his shyness, he didn't want to interact with anyone. he really, really didn't. and jude was well aware of the rumors of inactivity among this clan in particular, something that didn't bother him. but he didn't want to wait to be accepted into what he believed to be an idle clan; he wanted to get the process of joining over with as quickly as he could.
chops parting in a deep yawn, he settled his flickering dock and curled it around his paws instead, waiting with ticking patience.
