Dean wants them to say yes so this can all be over and Cas doesn't want them to because he risked everything for the two boys and he doesn't want them to give in now. They go to sleep mad at each other. Dean wakes up in the morning to find that Cas is missing and Lucifer won't give him back until Sam and Dean agree to take their roles as vessels. Later in the story Dean and Cas find that they are able to communicate with each other telepathically through Dean's dreams. Eventually they find out where Cas is and attempt to save him. Somewhere along the way through all the dreams and rescuing, Dean and Cas realize that they have a stronger relationship than they'd thought... other stuff; we can work out who plays which characters below. I don't mind who I play as.
