    In space resides a station known as The Ark. The Ark has strict measures, including capital punishment for those over 18 and population control, as the leaders of the Ark take steps to ensure the survival of the human race. But now, resources are running out and the Ark is dying. For the first time in nearly a century, there is talk of returning to Earth.




    For the 100, Earth is an alien planet; however, they quickly discover that Earth is filled with new wonders and dangers of all sorts.




    With the survival of the human race entirely in their hands, the 100 must find a way to transcend their differences, unite and forge a new path on a wildly-changed Earth that is primitive, intense and teeming with the unknown.

    GROUNDERS ; The Grounders is a term used to describe a person who was born on Earth rather than in space or Mount Weather. The Grounders alive today are descendants of humans who survived the nuclear apocalypse 97 years ago. Not much is known about their history on Earth other than them being descendants of radiation-tolerant humans and doomsday preppers who survived the nuclear apocalypse 97 years ago.


    MOUNTAIN MEN ; Mountain Men is a term used to describe a person who comes from Mount Weather. The Mountain Men alive today are descendants of humans who survived the nuclear apocalypse 97 years before the war, by living inside of Mount Weather. They are responsible for creating the deadly Reapers as well as the Acid Fog. They are not immune to radiation.


    REAPERS ; Reapers are savage, primal, cannibalistic, and brutal, showing no mercy to their victims. Most Reapers appear disfigured, with horns and bumps on their faces and head. Once a Grounder has been turned into a Reaper, they are left in the mines to guard Mount Weather.
