The Twist of Fate {Female Demon Needed, PAFP}

Lee flinched slightly when she had as if he felt like he had done something wrong. He was slightly surprised as the wound had sealed up, though it still faintly stung a little at least the initial pain of it had lessened. He looked up and spotted the shock and confusion upon her face though his eyebrows furrowed upon seeing that she had been tearing up just a few moments before. He spoke up hesitantly, "..What is it..?" He was rather confused judging by his facial expression, a deep frown upon his face, however he had withdrawn slightly from her as if he had convinced himself already that he had done something wrong.

Lee frowned slightly, though he was intrigued as he watched the flower wilt away and her explanation. He hesitated for a few seconds as if thinking intently over it slowly mulling it over. Then he spoke up quietly, slowly allowing the information which he was given by the manticore to come out, "..Maybe it's because I'm.. Not completely human." His gaze was focused on the ground now, lost in thought before his attention turned back towards her, "Try it again.. I want to confirm your tears can heal me." His voice had a certain edge to it as he said those words, blue gaze intensely focused upon her.

He curiously watched as the wound on his leg healed. A look of just as much confusion yet curiosity showed up on his face as he muttered, "..It really is fully healed." He cautiously stood up though he was surprised that he didn't feel any pain. He crossed his arms, tilting his head he was in deep thought for a few moments then he muttered, "This is odd.." He turned towards her, a slight frown on his face just as confused as she was, though he looked away after a few moments, "..Hmm." The more he thought about it the more confused he got, with a sigh he shook his head and held out a hand towards her to help her up, a gentle smile on his face, "Well, I suppose we'll get an explanation soon. There's no need to be stressing over it right?" At least Lee seemed a little bit better, not feeling the pain before though his mind was still whirling with unanswered questions he at least convinced himself that he'll eventually stumble upon some answers to all of the questions coming up in his mind.

Lee nodded his head though looking up at the moonlight coming in as well. He wasn't particularly unsettled by it, though it did cause a chill to go through his spine considering the statues within the area, all of the sane demon with those blank eyes.. He felt as if he were being watched by them which caused him to shudder slightly, though his attention once more turned towards the nearby wall, gazing at the Oni, his brow furrowing as the thought went through his head, Is this demon really my father..? He turned away after a few moments feeling exhausted though his gaze turned up towards the opening above them and he hesitated, he didn't want to put much strain on Karis.. But he couldn't really fly out and he honestly wasn't sure if he could climb out.. That would take too much energy and time.

Lee had hesitated though nodding his head. He closed his eyes tightly, not wanting to look down either way, after the fall down there he wasn't too eager to even open his eyes. However, his heart had quickened up a little as he had felt Karis' arms wrap around him though dismissing it as the anticipation as they got out of the hole. As soon as his feet met the ground again, he let out a sigh of relief his nerves feeling on edge. He felt guilty for having to rely on Karis too much, it wasn't right for him to rely on her for everything. He paused for a few seconds before he started walking again, though with ease as he spoke up in a quiet tone, "..Karis, I'm sorry." He awkwardly looked at the ground in front of him, "..This won't happen again." He was serious though, he couldn't rely on her constantly to bail him out of trouble besides he had a sinking feeling the more he stayed around there and the more information he learned, things would be a lot more risky and he didn't want her getting involved.

Lee was a bit surprised by her words, however a small smile had crossed his face. He felt a little bit... Happy? He wasn't sure, but either way this allowed him to relax a little bit at least relieved that she didn't hate him. He found it a little strange, the possibility of him befriending Karis but knowing that she liked him had unknowingly soothed a part of him that was unknowingly anxious. He looked over his shoulder towards her, a rather relaxed and cheerful grin on his face, "That's a relief. I guess I was a little bit nervous about that." He looked away, admitting in an awkward tone, "I always was a bit paranoid about you possibly hating me.. I mean it was my fault for you being bound to me," He heaved a sigh as he muttered, "And being completely useless when it comes to fighting.. " His voice trailed off, not bothering at the moment to even mention the two kisses they had shared, he wanted to avoid that topic altogether as he said in a gentle tone, "I just really don't want you to risk yourself for me Karis." He gave her a soft smile, "I really began to care for you too, and I don't want to lose you either. So even if it might not be much, I'll try and get stronger so I can protect you instead." The expression on his face was genuine and sincere, his gaze looking upon her with an expression of warmth though he looked ahead, seeing the trees were slowly beginning to thin out, quickening his pace slightly as he completely went off unto another topic entirely, "I never thought I'd be so relieved to see the shrine again!" He began moving ahead, a grin upon his face, clearly eager to get back inside but hesitant to face Kyoko's worried outrage.

Lee paused and looked over towards her once again as soon as she had spoken then gave her another grin, "I'm glad you feel that way Karis." Lee honestly felt completely distracted from his previous sense of gloom earlier though as he stepped out of the treeline he paused then said, "Oh yeah, Karis," He smiled at her again, "You should really smile more often, it's cute when you do." Another sincere comment of course from him, he was being genuine with her, he did like her smile as since he had gotten used to her appearance those smiles has gotten endearing to him in a way.

Lee paused, as if he couldn't really speak for a few seconds as if captivated by her appearance within the moonlight. His heart began to pick up speed as he looked away, a faint blush crossing his own face, however before he could say anything he nearly jumped as soon as he spotted Kyoko standing outside the front of the shrine, her arms crossed though as soon as her gaze landed on Lee he felt a cold chill go through him as he said in a very quiet and nervous tone, "...I think I'd rather take my chances with the manticore again.." The expression on his grandmother's face was intimidating as he hesitantly approached expecting the full out rage coming from her soon though as soon as he was close enough he was surprised to be pulled into a tight hug as she said in a quivering tone, "Do you realize how worried I was about you?!" Lee honestly would feel guilty.. If it wasn't for the fact that he felt like he was being crushed by the force of his grandmother's hug, whispering in a pained tone, "..Cant breathe.." Eun luckily seemed to be nearby, the old man coming out of the shrine though there was obvious relief in his expression too he said quickly, "Kyoko, you're crushing the boy. I'm pretty sure he needs to breathe." Lee was relieved as soon as Kyoko let go, struggling to take in a few breaths only to freeze as Kyoko said in a scathing tone as she looked between them, "Now, explain why you two were out there especially when you both were wounded? And don't lie to me, I don't have the patience to deal with that."

Lee have her a quick look, almost as if he had thought of the same thing. Clearly by the look in his eyes that wasn't to be the right thing to tell Kyoko at the moment, besides, he wasn't sure he could even bring himself to say anything about it either since he still felt very guilty over it. His attention turned back to Kyoko as she sighed, giving him a scathing look, "Well, I suppose there was no harm done considering the both of you are safe." She heaved a sigh as she turned away from both of them, "Come on. You two must be tired, plus there's no use in keeping you two standing outside." Lee relaxed as she had said those words with both his grandparents going inside, he had walked inside although though moving quickly to his room not wanting Kyoko to see his wounds were healed, though still mystified by the whole thing himself, he had decided it wouldn't be wise of him to allow Kyoko to know at the moment so he could wait until things died down for a little bit. However as soon as he went into his room and with exhaustion had laid down upon the bed, his mind was now restless with unanswered questions as he gazed up at the ceiling.

Lee sighed as he forced himself to go to sleep, though once more he had a strange feeling that he'll honestly won't be prepared for what might happen the next day. By morning however, opened his eyes slowly though pausing as soon as he felt a dull pain upon his bottom lip. Cautiously he raised a finger to his lip, though it came away with blood he frowned as he realized he must've been biting his lip when he was asleep, though he couldn't possibly have remembered what he was dreaming about. With a sigh, he reached over tiredly to the bedside table to reach for his glasses only for his hand to come in contact with something oddly.. soft? Huh? With a frown he cautiously looked over, though unable to see clearly since we'll he couldn't really see well up close without his glasses in which he cautiously squeezed which his face grew a darker red as he heard a soft gasp before it turned into amused laughter, "You do have a really nice grip exorcist." Lee immediately scrambled backwards, a startled cry escaping his lips as he fell into the floor with a solid this in which he stammered, "W-what did... H-how.. I.." He let out a squeak of surprise as he was soon looking up into the manticore's face in which she gave him a grin, "Hmm.. Let's just say when I want to get into a building I can sneak in undetected." His face went a shade darker as she pressed closer to him, her face inches away from his, "..Plus I can't allow something that interests me get away so easily can I?" Lee's remained wide as he could only stare up at her thinking, This is a huge attitude change.. N-no focus Lee, ask her why she's here, surely she's trying to.. Oh my god.. Lee's face grew darker as the manticore leaned closer and he couldn't help but stare at her chest, thinking wildly, ...Ok.. Can't help it now. D*mn. Lee shook his head quickly as he stammered, "W-what are you doing?" The manticore raised an eyebrow though clearly seeming amused in having Lee so utterly flustered, "Hmm? Oh just enjoying myself. It's not everyday that an exorcist catches my attention, plus acting like the bad guy gets a little bit old after nearly being killed.. Twice." Lee's brow furrowed, processing her words as confusion ran through him, "Huh?' Before he could say anything more his body went completely still as the manticore leaned forward yet again and a shudder ran through Lee as she licked away the blood from his lip only to snicker, "Your face is so priceless right now!" Lee couldn't even speak now, much less even process what was possibly happening as the manticore grinned down at him, "Now be a good little exorcist and entertain me for a little while." Entertain?! W-what!?
(And poor Lee gets attacked by a less aggressive manticore.. He only wanted his glasses X3)
