The mermaid smiled a bit at the words, eating quietly and gazing towards her plate. She missed the water, the faintest bit, but was not ready to go back. She didn't miss her water home enough just yet.

"You okay?" Jude asked, trying to make it seem like a casual question. He was trying to worry less for Ella, trust that she can keep herself safe. He didn't doubt she could protect herself, but he was just prone to worrying.

Ella breathed out, swallowing and shifting, "I think I'm doing okay." She said softly, glancing at him and giving a weak smile, "thank you for asking, though." She had a few pained words in her speach the faintest of those, but refused to admit it.

Jude gently reached over and set his hand on her shoulder for comfort. Laguna and Amarie continued watching the kittens on TV, letting Jude and Ella work this out.

Jude put his arm around her to hold the mermaid close, "maybe its the memories of the place you miss." Jude said gently, "most people don't like to move away from home because of the memories and the familiar surroundings." He said. At school, Jude took a psychology class.

"Hmm... Well, that's all the heavenly wisdom I have." Jude teased, not lieing about that. He really didn't pay attention in most of his classes at school, passing them all with sheer luck.
Ella laughed softly,mclosing her eyes and keep close to him, "you said enough." She whispered, hiding in his body.

Jude smiled and held her close as he simply enjoyed her being there. Nothing could be better than this, watching cute kittens and holding Ella close. Jude then got an idea to take Ella to the local aquarium, and of course his family as well.
The small female shifted, yawning quietly and pressing near. Ella was more than content with this... She was so happy with all of this; sitting with Jude and his family... It was so nice.

Amarie volunteered to do dishes that night, leaving Ella alone with Jude and Laguna. Jude was enjoying this time with Ella while Laguna was silently proud of Jude for making a very nice friend... Even if Jude's friend was half of the one rung in the world he was pretty afraid of.
Ella fell asleep in Jude's arms a little bit ago, hiding in Judes side and quietly sleeping. She shifted awake and gave a hum, slowly opening her eyes.

There was a blanket over them and Jude was asleep, not to seemingly have moved from earlier. Laguna and Amarie weren't on the couch and the TV had seemed to have turned off.
Ella took a moment to remember where she as, peering around in the dark. She gazed up at Jude and gave a faint smile, nuzzling near and signing happily.

Jude looked peaceful as he slept, though he didn't show signs of waking up soon. Amarie had gone off to bed hours earlier she had thrown the blanket over them.
Ella slowly moved from the couch, slipping down to the basement to look at the down. She felt slightly bad for leaving Jude there, but he should be okay....

The tank wall glowed softly as the fish lazily swam around. The couch bed was all made up for Ella, there was even a few extra blankets and pillows for her next to the couch.
Ella gave a faint smile at the sight, crossing to the tank and placing her hand on the glass, "hello." She said softly.

A few of the fish bumped the glass while others swam by lazily. They didn't seem to really know the presence of a mermaid like wild fish in the sea did.
