  • [color=orange]The colony ship was merely an hour away from touchdown. The planet they had come across(Shear) looked extremely promising. It was a month long trip even at speeds faster than light. While colony ships did have extremely basic warp drives, the planet was still extremely far from their home. A small probe was being sent down into the atmosphere to test for oxygen levels, though enough supplies were brought to supply[ the population with oxygen. The Rurnian government wished to start from this planet and spread out across the rest of the system. It seemed like a promising plan. The planet was seemingly resource rich, and using the resources from that planet they could expand to others without damaging the government funding.

It was a time of reconstruction for the Rurn. The government was still being reforged. The capital lay in waste. But the people were now united. The minority that had supported the old leadership and ideals kept silent. They didn't want to draw out hate against themselves.

((From here on out its just politics))

In the almost fully repaired council building, the empire's legislatures were debating. The constitution would mainly be kept the same, but what they argued about regarded rebellion and future methods of taking leadership. Previously it was based whomever was next in the Royal line, but now they planned to move towards a more democratic stance and allow popular vote to be the method of choosing. The council still wanted to hold power and some argued that they should be granted the ability to vote against whomever was elected ruler of the Rurn.

What also came up to question is how long of a term should rulers hold. It was decided that only six year terms would be allowed, yet you could run as many times as you'd like.

Now to deal with those leaders of the old government, the debate was still going on whether they should be treated as traitors or left to be free. On one hand, if they were killed the minority of supporters of the old government may even more strongly oppose them. On the other, they didn't take the chance to defect when it was given to them. /color]

  • (like what we did in the other NRP?)

The Ancients had been at peace for a while. They didn't feel like expanding at the moment since they had more than enough Territory for themselves, but the population was growing a lot. At least hey were just doing what they do and wanted to. The Military was not relaxed due to the tensions that were high a while ago. They no longer are because the Primordial silenced any talk of war. The dragons only goal now was too prosper. The Factions and Sub-Factions were now due for a meeting with each other in the council. With of course, the mental super-vision of the Primordial. They were all prepared to voice military concerns, problems, new goals, deals, and control in the meeting.

  • The Luminas were working on inhabiting a brown dwarf, trying to see how well nurtured they'd be from the colder, dimmer star. A meeting of Lahn's council was being held to determine the fate of a star which they wanted, but which supported a semi-intelligent race. The Luminas did not want to have an effect on the lower race as any interaction, physical or visual, would ruin the species. Their decision was unanimous; the star would remain untouched. They had more stars to inhabit, stars which were larger than could be easily imagined. The numerous race would be fine for many millennia.

  • Should've known I would've not been able to get on last night. I will post soon. In the meantime, please wait for me lol.

Shear was still somewhat recovering from the 'spacial-rend' phenomenon that had thrown it into temporary chaos. The magnetic fluctuations had eased, and environmental disorder had balanced itself out quickly. Wildlife re-stability reflected this apparent recovery, however the incoming Rurn ship had not been noticed yet. Attentions among the sentients (Kaiju), was diverted elsewhere. Several monster groups were congregating in one of the old human colony settlements for a summit (annual meeting of tribes), so most were not concerned with the heavens at the moment.

  • The probe brought back positive results, and the ships began to touchdown onto the planet's surface. Robots designed for construction began to deploy makeshift shelters while the cargo ships would bring down the building materials for the long-lasting buildings. The shelter held its own power supply and provided communications to Razek. It only took a few hours to have it fully set up.

Within that time the thousands of colonial inhabitants moved to their rooms in the shelter, moving their supplies into place. Whatever belongings they had chosen to take, at least. There was no form of security in the camp of shelters. The only way to call for help was a distress beacon or a direct communication line.

But what would they ever need defense for?

  • The Ancients

    THE COUNCIL MEETING
    The Ancients began the meeting.

First came the topic of expansion. It was decided that each minor faction would grow by half their current territory, each Faction by a quarter, The neutrals, by a quarter of all land the Ancients owned as any faction can be within their territory.

Second Came the fact of population. The Cities were starting to have food and care problems. Many decided that they were approaching a high population density on multiple planets, hence why they have decided to expand, but they also want to expand because of

Third, They needed to Prepare in case they ever needed to expand their military anymore than they needed too now. Tensions were high between each of the current factions. There were 2 possibilities, war with each other or war with another. They could not war with each other because The Primordial would not allow it. They could only prepare in case another force were to prepare. Speaking of other forces.

Fourth, What should they do in the case of meeting another race. They needed to know how to react. Should they fight? Should they be friends? Two things were for sure. One is that it had yet to be resolved and two is that They would for now avoid all outside contact.

    THE RESULTS

They started expanding by first checking a planet for life. If it had a sentient living being it would be left alone. Otherwise they would colonize it. The Expansion was going nicely. The population density was once again at a fine amount and most problems were resolved. Each faction lay claim to their land and what was said was in fact done. The military took some resources and gave it to factories to put in reserve in case and emergency order came to build ships and gear. They had a great expansion in space for a second time. It would be a while before They did it again.

  • The Luminas noticed another race. However this one was not just semi-intelligent. It was expanding as a interstellar race would. It gave alert to the Luminas, the last time they had met with another race which expanded... it was not good. So what they did was send a Hydron-class ship to inform the other race that they would go no further. (Draco that's for you)

  • The Ancients on the colonized planet saw this ship of...hardlight? They were surprised but do to how it looked they knew it was not theirs. They thought they had made sure to colonize anywhere where they WOULDN'T find life. They Called home and soon a OT had arrived.

"SHIP OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN, STATE YOUR FACTION AND YOUR REASON FOR COMING." a Message was sent straight to anyone on the ship via magic. They Prepared everything they had for emergencies and all ships within the OT were on alert and on standby.

    SUMMIT

The Kaiju assembly took place in the aviary/bio-dome, refurbished to meet the needs of the sentient megafauna during the Summit. The following tribes were present: the Iso (leader=Crusher(Goliath)); the Kah (leader=One-Eye(Kraken)); and the Toa (leader=Skulk(Wraith)), their respective emblems painted on their bodies and flags which they bore proudly. The roaring and screeching died down as the Alphas stepped up to the stone podium, bowing to each other respectfully before seating. Originally, their Supreme Leader (the Mind) would be summoned by Skulk so that he could attend the Summit in his physical form (the Host). At first, it was necessity, but became unneeded when the Mind decided his presence would not be desperately needed. He knew his selected Alphas would handle worldly matters in his steed.

    THE MIND

The Mind's focus was more concerned with galactic events. During the contact with humans, his knowledge of sub-space allowed him to temporarily glimpse/open passage to different sectors. He used this to keep a tab on a confrontation between two beings, one composed of light, the other classed as 'Ancients'. The ordeal wasn't too exciting, however the Rurn vessel that was approaching his subject's domain was a concern. He refrained from making contact with the race for the time being.

  • The Rurnian government decided to begin more expansions to other worlds. Obviously not knowing the colony ship they were sending was heading to Ancient space, they began the launch anyway. It wasn't in the outer territory, neither too deep in the sector the dragon race had claimed. This was a much more modernized colony ship, and the ship arrived within a few hours.

On Shear a portion of the forest they were in was beginning to be cleared out. The robots were planning to build a small city for the Rurnians to inhabit.

((Hey, can you check the weapons section of my form? I added something))

  • (why is everyone coming to me?)

Another Ship appeared in the territory of the Ancients. They would have sent a regular ship but as this was a new race a OT was needed. They sent an OT right away. They sent a message. It seemed to be more of a civilian ship as there didn't seem to be any deadly weapons on it when they scanned. "
"ATTENTION SHIP. YOU HAVE ENTERED THE TERRITORY OF THE ANCIENTS. LEAVE NOW."
it was short and was meant to sho away the civilians of the race they had just met. They could care less about how they were at the moment. They wanted to deal with diplomacy one race at a time.

  • "We want you to stop expanding in our area," they responded, using a device to boost their telepathy. They didn't want to give any information away to the other race, especially to a ship as large as that one. Their scans of it said 300km, which was very large. They sent the coordinates to the other ship in a simple, understandable, coded light message. It covered a large area of the galaxy, enveloping many giant and hypergiant stars. The battle suits in the ship prepared for a battle, though, they didn't quite think they had this one in the bag.

Five Hydron-class battleships jumped out of a nearby blue giant, jumping into hyperspace for the location of the OT. They'd be there in a few moments.

The post was edited 1 time, last by Mataus ().

  • "You say you have this land claimed but we see no land under your power. Furthermore, we have already finished colonizing it. We checked to see if any sentient race were on these planets and we saw nothing. That includes yours. We will not leave. All we can say is that we will no longer expand anymore than we have already for a long amount of time. If we do we will keep away from your lands you have marked, Even if you haven't even touched the planets." The ancients replied with a AI this time. They would not let some random person come and claim a system they had verified had no life. They were prepared to fight for it. Ships within the OT prepared all weapons and prepared to leave it in a moments notice. The OT engaged all defensive counter-measures. They would not enter the Galactic community as people who were pushed around.

  • "And that is what we ask. Note you would be invading our space just as if we were invading yours... just because there isn't life there doesn't mean it isn't planned. You'd feel the same way if we took your planned habitable places." Just as they finished this transmission the other 5 ships showed up behind the ship which was talking with the OT. "We do not ask you to leave, just to stop. Otherwise you'll find yourself in a horrible, intergalactic war."

  • "You may have planned it, but you failed to follow through fast enough. We also have planned to colonize and we wet through with it. If you got to it first than so be it. Also-" said The Ancients as some of the ships of the armada within the OT went out."War is never one-sided." They waited a moment and than said
"That is all we have to say. We will no longer spread towards you. However we would like to make a deal. A Non-aggression pact with some modifications. We won't attack each other but we also stay away from each other. Do you accept?" The message was sent. They wanted to be done with this. They wanted to finish this ordeal and go back to normal, or at least something similar to it.

  • "Deal, for now." They replied, though they didn't have any intention to have any slack on the deal. If an Ancient ship went on their controlled territory, it'd be full on war. "You'd be surprised of what we have." They replied before jumping to hyperspace.

  • The Ancients Went back to what they did. They had their ships and detectors on alert in the case they saw the other race on their land. The alert level of the military across every system by one. They wanted to be alone.

    (Addition approved)

The Mind was displeased. He would not stand for another invasion on his world. He would warn them who the Rurns and their machines were dealing with. He didn't dare interrupt the Summit (it was considered ill-fortune to do so), but several clans that had not attended were nearby, so he warned them with a psychic image of the intrusion, and urged them to be on their way. This insult will not go unpunished. Destroy the machines. ALL OF THEM.
