    RECAP:     Cloudedstar punished Swiftkit for leaving camp, but allowed Ash to stay for a while to get to know the Clan. Also, in the middle of the night, Pinekit and Sunkit were found by Cloudedstar and Salmonpaw. The two kits were outside of the camp. In the morning, Cloudedstar called an early morning to announce the punishment of the three kits: they would have to be seven moons to become an apprentice. About to end the meeting, Cloudedstar gets a prophecy from StarClan's ally, LightPelt. When the time for the sun to be swallowed by darkness arrives, blind mice will be taken with it. Cloudedstar falls off HighEdge, and gets a head injury. Ash is now Hawkpaw, and will be assigned his mentor tonight. Speckfrost has just passed, and Falconwing has found her body while going to take a nap. Mosswater and Brackenspot are now mates, and they are out taking a walk.

Even though they were named this, it was very irrelevant. They were a sweet bunch, with smiling faces, and nice tones. The only reason they were named "The Scavengers" is because they stole anyone's prey, since prey was very scare where they lived. The bunch, lead by Owl, kept walking until they landed in the new territory of OakClan. Then started the Clan, where they gathered many rogues, and found out about the Warrior Code and StarClan. They have flourished ever since.

He blinked sleep out of his eyes, and got onto all fours. Shouldering ivy out of his way, he exited his den, taking a look around the camp. His fluffy pelt ruffled in the wind that came from some cracks in the brambles above.


    LIGHTNINGFLIGHT- Lightningflight was sleeping soundly until a drop of water landed on his nose. With a sneeze, he hoped he didn't wake anyone up. Twitching his nose and getting up, he hated waking up this early. But he had to, for the Clan. Padding over cats and out of the warrior's den, he spotted Cloudedstar. Dipping his head, he seated himself near the warrior's den.


    MOSSPAW- Mosspaw opened her eyes, hearing a sneeze from the warrior's den, which was right next to it. She sighed, getting onto off fours. Padding out if the den, she gazed around. She wondered where her mentor was. ((OOC: Her mentor is Piercegaze))


    SALMONKIT-[/fancypost][align=center] Salmonkit slept peacefully in the Nursery, her flanks rising and falling. When wind erupted into the den, she jumped. Holding back a yowl, she looked around, and her eyes adjusted to the dark. Seeing it was nothing, and just a cool breeze, she sighed, and settled herself down into her nest again.

    ASPENTAIL - It was that glorious time of day again, when the sun began its daily trek into the beautiful sunrise-pink sky. The new light shimmered upon Aspentail's pelt, portraying a beautiful golden-yellow coat color. The broad-shouldered female parted her jaws, allowing a yawn to escape her maw, the pearly-white fangs lined inside it glittering. Clasping them together again, she started to get to her paws, stretching as far as her limbs would go. After that luxurious moment, the deputy of OakClan padded forward and out of the den she found so much comfort in. She caught sight of her leader, Cloudedstar, first, and she made a mental note to organize patrols when more cats awoke.
    PIERCEGAZE - With a twitch of his tail, the long-furred gray tom took note of Aspentail making her way out of the warriors den. He would have followed her in a second, but he had hunted all through the night due to the shortage of prey they had; but, it turned out to be one of those "hard work pays off" times.
    Huffing quietly, the fluffy-tailed tom padded out of the den after a few minutes of further resting. Shaking out his fur, Piercegaze spotted Mosspaw out of her den. Walking over to her, he meowed, "I'm going to wait until patrols are made... and then we can go out battle training, if neither of us leave for the patrols Aspentail sorts."
    SMOKESHADE - She had been up most of the night. Not that she sincerely wanted to, but night was her favorite time, and sleeping during it just didn't seem right to her. Some cats considered her nocturnal; which wasn't very true, since she had just as much energy during the day, but they had their reasons to think that.
    Twitching her whiskers as she heard a sneeze, Smokeshade rolled her eyes and stalked out of the warriors den, her hackles swaying with each pawstep. She looked around, but tried to prevent eye contact. She wasn't in the mood for talking.

    LIGHTNINGFLIGHT- Lightningflight saw his leader nod, and he breathed a sigh of relief. At least he didn't get mad at me... For once. The tom thought, thinking about whenever he did something unbelievably serious, Cloudedstar got annoyed, because that was his specialty. With a flick of his ear, he watched Piercegaze approach his apprentice, Mosspaw. I hope I can get an apprentice soon.


    MOSSPAW- Mosspaw watched Piercegaze pad over, and she dipped her head to her mentor. When he finished, the Siamese cat nodded her head. "Of course, Piercegaze." Gazing around, she really wished she wasn't the only apprentice at the moment. Salmonkit is becoming an apprentice tonight, flea-brain. Mosspaw thought, lashing her fluffy tail.

    ASPENTAIL - The long-legged female could almost feel Cloudedstar's gaze before he padded over to her, an important air about him like every leader these days; she remembered when she was an apprentice how afraid she was of that same type of presence.
    But now, she was anything but shy. Clearing her throat, Aspentail meowed, "Good morning. I'm going to make patrols when more cats wake up; not many are up right now, which is a disappointment." Twitching her tail and glancing at the warriors den, she added, "If that's alright with you, of course, Cloudedstar."
    PIERCEGAZE - Piercegaze acknowledged Mosspaw's dip of her head with a slight twitch of the ear. He blinked thoughtfully over at the leader and deputy speaking to one another, and imagined for once him being in that high position. If only it were possible, he muttered inwardly. No need to get ambitious now.
    "I hope more cats wake up soon," he sighed, unsure of whether or not he was saying this to his apprentice or himself.
    SMOKESHADE - Maybe, for a moment, the she-cat wanted to talk to someone. It wasn't usual for her to actually intend on speaking with another clanmate, but sitting here wasn't productive either; she'd rather not act like a confused apprentice.
    Snorting quietly, the lithe dark gray warrior stalked over to Lightningflight, her head low. This wasn't any sign of submission whatsoever, and everyone in this clan knew that.
    "Good day, Lightningflight," she rumbled in her normal, rich female voice.

    CLOUDEDSTAR-     Cloudedstar nodded. "Of course it's okay. Salmonkit is becoming an apprentice soon, so I may as well call a Clan meeting." Leaping onto the large rock, which they called HighEdge, the wind died down, and now his fur was windblown. Parting his jaw, his yowl echoed throughout the camp. "All cats old enough to protect the Clan and hunt, gather around HighEdge fpr a Clan meeting!"


    LIGHTNINGFLIGHT- Lightningflight perked his ears at Smkeshade. She hardly ever approached him, to talk to the tom, ever. But now, here she was, talking to him. "Greetings, Smokeshade. Did you sleep well?" Before she could answer, Cloudedstar's voice rang through the camp. "That must be Salmonkit's ceremony. Come on." Seating himself down underneath HighEdge, he lashed his calico colored tail.


    MOSSPAW- Mosspaw, hearing her mentor's comment, nodded. "So do I, soft-pelt." This was her nickname for Piercegaze, sense he was so fluffy and soft. Hearing Cloudedstar's loud rumble, she noted, "I think a lot of the Clan will wake up now."


    SALMONKIT- Salmonkit was about to fall into another deep sleep, when Cloudedstar's voice erupted into her den. Jumping up in excitement, she knew it was time for her to become an apprentice. She started to clean her fur hastily, and rushed out of the Nursery. Standing up below the HighEdge, she didn't realize she was supposed to be sitting down.[/fancypost][align=center]

    Spottedpool slowly opened her eyes as she felt the sun warm her calico fur. She then stood and padded out of the den as she heard Cloudedstar call for a meeting. Once she reached the outsde of the den, she stretched and began to clean her coat while she waited for Cloudedstar to begin.


    Ash
    Ash had been on his own since he was 6 moons old, but that's a story for anouther time. He lived just outside the clan's borders but sometimes strayed inside them for hunting puposes. Currently, he was laying streched out right outside of his den with his belly up. You see, when the sun rises in the morning it hits this spot just right and Ash loved it.     Featherpaw had only had time to yawn and stretch after waking up before she heard the yowl that signified a Clan meeting. She glanced around before heading out of the den, her eyes blinking a few times to adjust to the bright sunlight. Seeing all the cats already gathered around, she hurried over to the crowd, seating herself near Spottedpool and curling her tail around her paws.

Spiderleap nodded as Cloudedstar walked by. She didn't have most respect for many cats but the leader and the deputy earned her respect. They were not many to trust around here, as herself. She padded into the clearing and sat down. Watching all cats gather into the clearing getting ready for patrols she did so as well. She curled her well groomed short haired tail to her side. Her pale gaze wandered about the camp looking at every cats movement, watching more cats gather up her well sharpened claws dug into the soft surface. Lifting her head to focus on the deputy making patrols she waited until they would be made.

She's supposed to be sitting down! Shaking away the thought, the unique two-colored eyed tom gazed upon his Clan. "We are welcoming a new apprentice into the Clan. Salmonkit, step forward." Once the she-kit stepped forward, Cloudedstar's gaze raised up to Silver Pelt. "Salmonkit has reached the age of six moons. She is ready to train in the ways of your code, and I pronounce her as an apprentice in your turn." Looking back down at Salmonkit, the leader continued. "From this moment forward, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Salmonpaw. Spiderleap will be your mentor." Cloudedstar felt hesitant to give his adopted daughter to the unfriendly she-cat, but Salmonpaw needed to learn to become more serious.


    LIGHTNINGFLIGHT- Lightningflight snickered as Salmonpaw gawked at Cloudedstar when her mentor was made. It looked like she'd just died, went to the Dark Forest, and came back alive. It was a funny sight, really. That'll make a good joke later on.


    MOSSPAW- Mosspaw cheered Salmonpaw's new name. I'm SO glad I'm not alone anymore! She thought, a smile crossing her face. She gazed back at Spiderleap, the mysterious Clan mate that never seemed very open. Maybe Salmonpaw will talk some since into her.


    SALMONPAW- Salmonkit stepped forward when her name was called. Now named Salmonpaw, she wondered who her new mentor would be. Her ear's ring at the name: "Spiderleap." She didn't realized she was gawking at Cloudedstar until a snicker came from within the crowd. Closing her mouth, she glared into the crowd, wondering who that was. Spotting Spiderleap,, she forced a smile, and padded over, ready to touch noses with her new mentor.

    Spiderleap snickered. Noticing the she-cat wasn't comfortable with having a mentor like her she smirked. Raising off of her paws she padded to the she-cat and touched noses respectfully. She would have to learn the ways the she cat learned off of her age. Be more serious, become a skilled fighter. "Get ready to get down to business." The she-cat mumbled into Salmonpaw's ear a snicker coming showing her sharp teeth as her lip raised when the snicker formed. Her eyes giving off a shimmer as she padded back to her seat and sat resting her tail against her side once more. Feeling astonished the she cat didn't know why Cloudedstar would pick a cat like her to mentor such a bubbly apprentice. She shook her head from the thought and mustered a smile. "She will learn how lucky she is to have such a skilled warrior to train her to the best of her ability." She thought to herself a wicked smile growing on her dark colored maw. The shadow like she cat stood there and waited for patrol to be established.

    ASPENTAIL - Nodding firmly, she watched the different-eyed tom make his way over to HighEdge, where one of the kits was supposedly being named an apprentice. This was always her favorite time of clan life, watching the excitement of kits becoming... not more important, but more significant and titled to a warrior's eye.
    It was at this moment as well that Aspentail realized this would be her doing ceremonies after Cloudedstar's 9 lives ended. At first, it sent a chill through her body, but then it sent excitement coursing through her veins. No rush, of course; she respected her leader and planned to be deputy for a long time.




    PIERCEGAZE - The gray masculine snorted like he always did at Mosspaw's silly nickname, soft-pelt. He didn't entirely mind her calling him this, and often times found it amusing. It suited him anyways, and it wasn't like she was trying to tease him.
    "Hopefully," he returned to her additional words. "Cloudedstar is about to--," but he couldn't finish his sentence as the leader of OakClan called out for the Clan to gather. Padding forward, he seated himself next to Lightningstrike, raising a nonexistent eyebrow at Smokeshade making contact with another living organism.




    SMOKESHADE - Almost at once, the female regretted her choice. Speaking with another cat was, in fact, not her true intention; maybe that moment of neediness had been for killing something, or sinking her claws into the warm fur of a mouse.
    She shoved her ears forward at Cloudedstar's call, following Lightningstrike and sitting a few tail-lengths away from him and the rest of the group. As her leader spoke, she noticed Spiderleap; it was odd how she had some hidden respect for this she-cat, since she had a lot in common with her.
    Dragging her eyes away from her and avoiding eye contact with anyone yet again, she snorted as Salmonpaw was named Spiderleap's apprentice. "That 'oughta be fun to watch," she muttered to no one in particular.

    Spottedpool listened quietly to the meeting; she had always enjoyed these ceremonies. She almost felt bad for the young apprentice. She thought Spiderleap would be a good mentor but it was going to be a long ride for Salmonpaw.

    Ash's belly began to growl and, though he didn't want to, he slowly got up. The gray tabby tom then scented the air, quickly catching the scent of a mouse. He began to pad towards the scent and soon spotted it under a tree. He automatically lowered himself into the hunter's crouch, which he had almost perfected over the months, and slowly stalked closer to the small gray body. He didn't pick up on the scent of Oakclan cats as he crossed the border.    [/fancypost][align=center]

    x Sunkit poked her head out of the nursery to watch the ceremony. The air outside was chilly, compared to the thick blanket of warmth and the distinct scent of milk that enveloped the nursery. She could tell Salmonpaw's hesitation and she watched as the newly named apprentice touched noses with Spiderleap. The ginger tabby kit wrinkled her nose in distaste.
    x "I'd do ANYTHING to get out of here," she groaned almost theatrically, staring sullenly at the ground. While the nursery was warm and comfortable, Sunkit often felt cooped up in the dark spaces. She didn't have a mother and she didn't feel close to the other kits. Not much anyway. The sooner she could get away from the cooing queens and noisy kits, the better. Or at least that was what she had convinced herself.

    Spiderleap sat patiently. She dozed off to think when her training would start. She smiled at the thought. "When sunrise first starts we will go. She needs to know how to wake early." The she cat thought. Knowing Salmonpaw would not enjoy her stay when this she cat was around she could care less. "She should be proud that I'm her mentor, she will be tough and skilled." The she cat mumbled. This is one part of herself that she admired. She was a quick minded she cat, trained well, and was skilled at most of these things.     Spiderleap noticed the she cat come towards her out of the corner of her eye. Smiling slightly she turned her head down the Salmonpaw. "Hello young one." The she cat mewed. It was like she thought she couldn't talk. It was just that sometimes she wasn't good at it. "Come to ask for training?" The she cat chuckled slightly.




    Ivypaw scampered into the clearing. Keeping herself low she looked around. The fur around her neck padded down from where her collar lied. The she-cat sat down slowly and looked up. Almost becoming an apprentice soon she gulped at the thought. "What would people say to me, would they cheer like they did to Salmonpaw or boo?" The she cat thought shivering slightly. "I have to be strong show people the confident strong trouble making she cat I am." She snickered raising her posture as she sat strong in the clearing. "Should I ask Cloudedstar when my ceremony is going to start... nah." The thought as she sat.
