Ever since her discovery of the library, Beverly had practically not emerged except to eat or use the bathroom. Of course, she socialized when people entered the building (though usually they weren't too interested in learning about the mitochondria; didn't they know it's the powerhouse of the cell?? important stuff) or when she was out, but in all honesty she would much rather be reading.
Which is what she would be doing right now, if she hadn't just finished reading her entire biology textbook for 'curious young minds.' Now, the female was eagerly looking for another book on the subject; that one had been good, but it was so simplified, and she knew there just had to be more to learn. But what topic should she choose to read about? That was the question. Biology was so broad- how could she pick just one? By now, a small stack of various books were next to her book fort (which she hadn't built intentionally, but decided she liked it after realizing its presence. It was like a den of knowledge) and she was in the library aisles looking for a new one.
Wait, what's this- the perfect book, right there, in all its glory: A Beginner's Guide to Neurology. Standing on her stubby hind legs, the mottled gray kitten arched her back, reaching for the book...only to discover it was just out of her reach. Even extending her claws as far as she could, the kit simply couldn't reach it. If only someone were here to get it for her.
