    Flare stepped a few feet back before jumping and beginning to climb a random building's fire escape. At the top, she looked around at thw various alleys, searching for a scent of vampire.

    Calla climbed the rotten stairs and stood on the second floor looking down onto the first.
    Before she knew what was happening a strong arm came across her neck and pulled her flush against a rock hard chest.
    "Why is a young keeper following me I have done nothing wrong," the vampire growled in Calla's ear.
    She struggled to get free and drove her elbow into the vamps side.
    The vampire loosed its grip and she forced her way out of its iron grip.
    Spinning around on her heels Calla faced the vampire and froze so did the vampire.
    "Calla?" He asked.

    Everleigh and Shadow took care of the young woman's body.


    Warren let out a soft chuckle and stepped out in front of Flare. "How sweet, you're helping the keeper find me. I told you that I'd kill someone." He said as he grinned at her.

    This is not real.This is not real. Calla thought to herself as she stared at her best friend-well he was her best friend-Jake.
    He stared at her in astonishment.
    "How is this possible?" He asked her.
    she shrugged and took a step back away from him.
    Hes a vampire she reminded herself.
    Don't trust him!

    Calla swallowed and instinct took over and she got in a crouch,fists clenched at her sides.
    "What happened?" She growled.
    Her right hand itched towards her boot where her dagger was hidden.
    "Don't do that keeper." He warned lips curling over his teeth.
    A snarl erupted from his throat and he took a step forward.
    "Do not attack or i will be forced to kill you."He snarled.

    Everleigh looked at her then frowned. "Why did you let him go? If he's giving your kind a bad name, why not stop him?" She forced herself to be calm when she asked the questions.


    Warren walked down the alley and hoped that he'd find another victim soon. He was enjoying the havoc he was causing. He ran his fingers through his red hair as he stalked the streets.

    Jake stayed where he was and Calla withdrew her hand from her boot and sighed.
    "How did you become this?" She asked just as he asked.
    "Why didn't you tell me you were a keeper?"
