    When he opened the door, Melenda followed him inside, still holding onto baby Ashlynn. Upon entering the house they were met with Piper, who had been laying in the foyer waiting on them. The cat got up and walked over to Melenda, starting to rub against her legs and purring. "Hey Piper, baby, I missed you."she spoke softly to the cat. Then she turned to look at Liam. "I'm going to go lay Ashlynn down in the nursery."she said softly to him. She wasn't going to try to be too loud, because she didn't want to wake up Ashlynn.

    Melenda nodded her head at Liam's words. She walked towards the stairs, carrying baby Ashlynn in her arms. She walked up the set of stairs and took baby Ashlynn to her bedroom. Once she was in the bedroom she placed Ashlynn down in the crib, and covered her up with a blanket. She grabbed both of the baby monitors and turned them on. Then she placed one back down on the dresser and took her's down stairs with her.

    Liam walked back over to the table from the kitchen and hung his coat over the back of the chair. He also pulled his hat and sunglasses off and set it on an empty seat. He sat down and looked through his phone while he waited. He scrolled through his notifications about comments asking him questions. He wasn't surprised though. What else did he expect

    Melenda slipped off her backpack and sat it on the floor in the living room by the couch. She would clean it out later and put everything inside of it away. She took off her jacket and put it on the couch. She would put it away later. She grabbed her phone out of her jacket pocket and then headed to the kitchen with both her phone and the baby monitor. As she walked into the kitchen she was followed by Piper. Piper had been following her around from the minute Melenda stepped into the house. It was clear the feline had missed her human.

    Liam watched Mel as she came down the hallway back into the room "If you want later we can bring Ashlynn out here so we can see her if you'd like her closer." he said "My mom dropped off a baby swing yesterday." he said pointing to the small bed near the couch. It was like a bassinet except it was hanging on a small stand so it could rock.

    Melenda nodded her head at Liam's words and sat down in one of the kitchen chairs. "Alright. We can do that later. Right now I just want her to get some sleep. We were both having a hard time getting any sleep last night."she replied. It had been thunder storming the night before and the storms had kept both Melenda and Ashlynn up. She sat the baby monitor down onto the kitchen table.

    Liam nodded "alright." he said as Mel as down. A moment later he stood up to check the water. It was ready to be used so he poured some into a mug before looking back to Mel "Do you want some tea?" he asked

    Melenda followed his movements with her eyes. "Yeah, sure. I could go for a cup of tea."she said. She pulled out her phone and decided to check some of her social media accounts. First she checked Facebook. Her wall was filled with congradulations from almost everybody she was friends with. This wasn't much of a surprise. She scrolled threw the posts and tried to like as many as she could see. When she was done she posted a status update thanking everyone for the congrats and letting them know that baby Ashlynn was healthy.


    Piper jumped up onto Melenda's lap and tried getting up in her face.

    Melenda smiled when he turned with her tea. "Thank you."she replied. She sat down her phone and then picked up the cup of tea, carefully taking a sip from it. Then when she was done she sat it back onto the table and picked up her phone again. She got off of facebook and then decided to check twitter. On twitter she was also filled with notifications. Some where congrats from her followers, some of them having heard about her having her baby, while others were questions about Liam. She didn't respond to any of the notifications she saw though and instead she just read threw a few of the ones she could see.

    Liam took a drink from his mug before setting it back down. He looked through twitter briefly before switching around to other social media. A lot of people had comments and questions for him. He ignored all of them.

    Melenda read threw a few more things on her phone and then shut it off. She reached over and picked up her tea cup, taking another sip from it. Then she looked back down at Piper, who was still trying to get up in her face. "Stop it Piper."she said to the feline.


    Piper just meowed and kept trying to get up in Melenda's face. She rubbed her head against Melenda's chin and neck, purring. The cat was happy to see her favorite human and wanted to know that she was okay.

    Melenda laughed. "Yeah I think she did."she stated. She pushed Piper away from her face softly, so that the feline was now sitting in her lap.


    Piper meowed and put her paws up on Melenda's shoulders again. She started rubbing her face against Melenda's again. She continued to purr and started needing her claws on Melenda's shoulder.

    The baby monitor started making sounds, no doubt meaning that Ashlynn was awake, though she didn't appear to be upset.


    Melenda sighed and decided to just let the cat do what she wanted. It was clear that the feline wasn't going to listen to her. She sighed and started to pet the cat."Can you get her? I would, but I don't want to move this one."she asked.

    Liam nodded "Of course." he said standing up and heading down the hallway. He slowly opened the door to the nursery and walked over to the crib. He slowly looked over the edge of the crib before he saw baby Ashlynn. She was fussing a bit. He leaned over and picked her up from the crib. He slowly rocked started to her a bit to see if that wold help.

    Ashylnn looked over at Liam when he came into view. A little bit after he picked her up and started to rock her, she eventually stopped fussing.


    Melenda continued to pet Piper, her cat. She reached over with her free hand and picked up her cup of tea, taking a sip from it.
